They are heavy, and had some problems with head gasket due to a torque mistake when tightening the head screws. They look good, with a weight reduction they are awesome.
I own one as well, and I absolutely love it despite being slow due to being a ge rather than gte and heavy. Idek what I want to do to it, swap for a 1 or 2jz, keep the 7m and rebuild then turbo, they are just so good all around no matter what engine and the possibilities are incredible.

Mark lll Supras are great in the right hands, next time just buy a 90s Corvette or an 80s Camaro and I'll drive by happily waving.
the head gasket problem is easily solved by torquing the head down to 76 lbs instead of 56lbs like the factory. But you probably didnt know that since you most likely dont own an mk3.

I think for 32K I should of had a superior Toyota car that didn't blow out UNDER 50K! The entire car was a Piece of shit except the Suspension. Go buy one I dare you and feel the quality of Cheap and Poor acceleration under 25mph. Corvette will blow these away easily. I'm truly just here to help anyone who wants these things never watched a thing.

AFAIK they never made any manual targa tops. They were all factory auto.

Depends on the turbo to say much power it would gain from 4" exhaust, but it would certainly not take away power on any turbo setup.
