You left out some very important information in this video. First off before you disconnect any terminals you should open the trunk and allow the vehicle control module to enter their sleep state. This takes about 30 minutes. Also when you have replaced the battery, before you attempt to start the vehicle even if the battery is the same specification. You must enter registration of the battery in the DME. This is critical because IBS learns the battery state of health over time and a new battery charges differently than an old battery. In an emergency you can do without for a very short period. If you ignore this step you will damage the alternator and/or the IBS. Otherwise great video, just some additional pointers to keep people from having issues.

      Stop !
You MUST let the computer know that new battery was installed . My friend did it WITHOUT programming it and his whole front double cluster (MPH, GPS) got BURNED. Meaning complete BLACKOUT !!!! Only bmw dealer could fix it for $3500 !!! The vehicle must know that a new battery was installed . These cars have tons of sensors and modules . Other then that it’s a great V8 twin turbo car 🥰🥰🥰

Just buy a code reader I used a simple one is called autophix , has to be the one the helps bmw and once you press that option , it will tell you battery registration also, there’s a lot of videos on RUclips how to register a battery for a BMW the code reader that I bought it was only $100. You don’t need a fantasy one or take it to the dealer because the dealer would charge you around $300.

Thank you very much for the instructive video! Just one question: is it possible to put an 105AH battery in the F01 750i (with orignal battery of 92AH)? The 105AH is 4 cm longer. So is there enough space to fit it? And do we need to code the new capacity using Esys? And can the alternator charge the bigger capacity battery?

Hi. Just wondering if I change battery without back up battery to save information. Will the music etc saved into the car audio system be deleted? Or will it still stay in the memory? Thanks. Regards Wayne

Any idea where the Comfort Access Antennas are located on a F02 750li x drive? I see where the two interior antennas are inside the trunk as well as the exterior antenna inside the rear bumper next to the RDC unit. However, I can't find the other interior antennas.

Doesn't have to be OEM, but it has to be AGM compliant. Mine's Bosch.

What happen to the registration of the battery? You supposed to do it otherwise can damage or battery will last for a year instead of few years

Like the video does this also apply to a 2005 bmw 745li? And also my 745li rear end is leaning could it be the air bag that is bad? It only leans when it is parked over night.
