During my masters in IIT I was advised against using technology and machinery for my project for beach cleanup. My professors said it will not be scalable if the solution is technology heavy and complex. I wanted to design something futuristic and on the cutting edge, with drones reporting location of waste using spectroscopy and thermal sensors and agile robotics that is efficient in collecting the waste. We also studied this Ocean Cleanup boat very carefully and found out that 95% of the plastic in our ocean have drowned to the ocean floor already. This boat has the best chance of cleaning up just 5% of that waste, given no more plastic ends up in the ocean. And it’s practically impossible to remove the microplastics. We brainstormed everything but could not come up with a holistic solution. This was in 2019
@@conversationswithsakshiaro6606 we can clean and encourage PPL to clean environment and plant more trees or take another positive actions towards its
You cannot solve everything at once that what you learn in research. The steps are first focus on beach, river and lakes cleanup. Next to prevent waste entering them. This gives those natural bodies time to recover from a micro scale to macro scale. In the same time work on how to remove the sunken plastic waste. Ocean cleanup is already working on it. There are sunken and floating plastic islands which we can focus on. What I mean to say is there are solutions, we can solve some today, some we can tomorrow. This is a challenge for the government only....As a citizen we have to take care of our nature...if we don't throw garbage in rivers then rivers are mostly clean....we have to adopt swach Bharat abhiyan 🙏
We should all take initiative to clean this. Ye sirf river ki baat nhi global warming or climate change ko bhi rokna hai, jiska major karan AC.kai jagah log samjhte hai ki AC lagane se hum haishiyat vale lagrnge lekin unhe kon bataye AC lagana anpadhta ka pratik hai🥺🥺🥺
Yamuna is dead in Delhi. And irony is that all offices of policy makers are situated here itself- PMO, Jal Shakti mantralay, ministry of environment and forest and climate change, CWC
Nature and climate conservation are actually a huge issue, many people are suffering from heat waves and water supply issues but neither the government nor the citizens are paying much attention to it, in fact it was not even included as part of the party manifesto by many parties. The government ran the Swacch Bharat campaign and it definitely helped promote the message of cleanliness, so what's stopping us from doing the same with promoting cleanliness of our water bodies.
I have forwarded this video to 200 people.. And hope soon we will going to welcome an interceptor like Bangkok.. Environment and climate change should be the in the first list in manifesto of any political party. First of all ban on plastic🙏
It’s also our duty as a citizen of Bharat to take small measures and keep our society clean. Big differences always start from small steps. Jai Hind🇮🇳🚩🙏
As long as there is a lack of education and a sense of individual responsibility and abundance of poverty, all these solutions are only able to treat the symptoms, unfortunately. "India has every problem in the world" - but all these problems are connected on an unprecedented level. The faster India realizes that, the more chance she has of saving herself.
Solutions... That can bring a lot of change - 1. Ban of plastic bag strictly 2. Making a rule of disposal of industrial water only after cleaning 3. As a citizen we must ensure not to use plastic.. And use own bag while marketing 4. Not to through any waste material in visiting places like beach, river etc otherwise fine should be charged 5. Celebrating 1 day of a month as national cleaning day.. And promoting it in every platform to make people aware. 6. Conducting programmes in schools and colleges among students . 7. Plating at least 1 plant in your special day
Respected @Barsha980 The fourth rule you mentioned, fine charge karne se kuchh bhi nahi hoga , kyuki Bharat me aise kai saare points hai jaha pe ye fine wala concept chalta hai Iska solution ye ho sakta hai, ki galti krne Wale ko saja dene se achha hai sahi karne Wale ki tareef Karo 👍👍
Great topic..Hats off👌 People should understand that they are causing 'problems' for the 'next generation' due to plastic and other pollution in rivers.
It's totally not Modi's fault that the rivers, streams, ocean etc are polluted. The best he can do is to encourage the people not to pollute it and the least we can do is to follow it.
It is hig mistake that not stopping big industries to drop waste into rivers because they took money.70% waste is from industry and only govt can manage them if they want to.
Saari galti bas last 10 saal mai hui hai. Pahle to sab badiya tha. We are talking about these issues because other basic problems are getting solved. We will come to this problem as well.
@@RizingEco I know. Read again. I'm not blaming Modi. Everyone knows Kejriwal har paanch saal mai promise karta hai yamuna ko clean karne ka aur baad mai blame dusron pe daal deta hai
Keeping Indian rivers clean is a complex challenge that requires coordinated efforts across multiple levels of society. Here are some key strategies to help achieve this: 1. Waste Management Improvement. 2. Public Awareness and Education. 3. Strengthening Legislation and Enforcement. 4. River Conservation Programs. 5. Technological Solutions. 6. Sustainable Agricultural Practices. 7.Corporate Social Responsibility. 8. Citizen Participation. 9. International Collaboration. 10. Sustainable Urban Planning.
Instead of depending govt we indian should take action to save our rivers because we are the main culprits for their degradation. Although strict law should be imposed.
Cleaning the rivers is not possible by only the work of government but the huge population of India and World also must try to clean the river. This is the responsibility of all of all us as being a citizen of India and to bring responsible we need to taught people about that and must make strict laws against the river pollution. Jai Hind 🇮🇳

Glad to see that someone is talking about these real life threatening issues
Problem is in the source of garbage not in the rivers if we close or maintain the sources of garbage river clean itself
Possible if leaders like Nitin Gadkari who works for the country is given this task

That can bring a lot of change -
1. Ban of plastic bag strictly
2. Making a rule of disposal of industrial water only after cleaning
3. As a citizen we must ensure not to use plastic.. And use own bag while marketing
4. Not to through any waste material in visiting places like beach, river etc otherwise fine should be charged
5. Celebrating 1 day of a month as national cleaning day.. And promoting it in every platform to make people aware.
6. Conducting programmes in schools and colleges among students .
7. Plating at least 1 plant in your special day

The first step to clean river 50% is to stop Industrial and household wastes to go into the river.

Here are some key strategies to help achieve this:

2. Public Awareness and Education.
3. Strengthening Legislation and Enforcement.
4. River Conservation Programs.
5. Technological Solutions.
6. Sustainable Agricultural Practices.
7.Corporate Social Responsibility.
