I'm really surprised she didn't get more starting opportunities or court-time in Tokyo. She's CLEARLY a better attacker and blocker than Larson, and on par with Larson defensively.

why noone is mentioning about Andrea Drews she did a good job tooo.
I never knew Robinson could play to such a high level. Larson and Robinson show the complete game. Drews is such an awesome opposite, and she has good defensive gets. Setting is good, but seems a little predictable, and maybe could find more openings. This was an exciting match.
The only reason why Robinson was playing as libero back then because there were too many OH in the US lineup. Karch finally realized that Robinson is a far better hitter with her caliber as a defensive specialist when she started playing as an OH in Vakifbank, Turkish leagues alongside Hill, Slotjes, and Zhu.
Why isn´t Micha Hancock playing? She´s a great setter!!!Selected MVP and Best Setter of 2019 Pan Am Cup.

It's an injustice that she didn't get more starts/playtime in Tokyo. She's so clearly superior to Larson in all aspects of the game -- particularly hitting and blocking.
@@djbenje4019 You have to admit, you gotta give it to Larson because this Olympics is most likely her last entry to the Olympics along with Hill and Akinradewo. Also, she is by far the smartest player in the court right now wherever she goes. Her leadership was also probably instrumental in their Olympics win as well. Robinson still has plenty of opportunities but she will definitely take over after Larson is gone.
Whatever Russia win or not , I will always Love Russia teams ❤️❤️

Russia's 8# 6# is clearly very good player,especially 6# i think she is one of top 5 MB in the world.
but Russia's receive is too bad，and setter set ball too high and slow， not fast enough..
i think Russia have potential to come back to top strong teams. and the way is not find another Gamova or Kosheleva (find is good but hard),the way is improve their receive set and basic skill(reduce error，smooth attack)

Such a good game. USA needs to come up with better middles and a setter. Congrats to Robinson who are much stronger on striking on top her excellence in receiving and defense.
Honestly what they really need is a better libero.. they were defeated by the chinese team because their libero could not make a proper receive and she basically becomes the serve target.. their middles and setters could improve but they are good already..
@@saliganchris I was actually looking at Robinson's performance during their game with China. She killed it here but looked like an ordinary player with China.

I've only been watching Robinson when she was converted to a libero had never seen a match with her as a spiker. She has a beautiful pipe attack. I wonder if she ever got tempted to do a pipe attack while she was playing libero. Need to see more of her as a spiker.

Voronkova and Parubets are too weak to be starters. Russia has gaps in the 1st and 2nd OH positions.
I partly agree with you. Voronkova is just a bad player, Parubets has potential to be great but she needs to build confidence.
Pabst Hdez Voronkova is just too inefficient for an offensive OH. Parubets, on the other hand, is so inconsistent in reception.
@@Geekimoj Agree. Voronkova is the same type of player as Celeste Plak from the dutch time. They're big, heavy, and make too many errors.
Will it take too long for Parubets to become a heroine in the upcoming olympic next year ?

Also noticed that Goncharova while hitting hard often does it to 7th meter of the court - right into the hands if defenders. If only she did hit 9th meter of the court, corners, she would be more effective.

USA turned on the power to defeat Russia though by a narrow 3-2 margin and keep their silver medal quest intact. Tomorrow both USA and Russia face weak African teams Cameroon and Kenya respectively and should win easily. Russia will face a challenge from Brazil the following day for the bronze medal if Brazil manages to defeat South Korea as expected.
Russia team is a very good talent team.Very pround of them.
