The first 2 sets was a popovic vs japan until japan turned the game around. Nabeya changed the game for japan and when ishii returned replacing koga also played a big part and the middles of japan also scored a lot specially akutagawa. Congrats nippon

Ever since, when Japan is highly successful with defensive transitions something good happens in their offense. Especially that it brings more fire in them 💞 it changes the complexion of ther game. This must be a sigh of relief that will eventually pump their confidence after a long while especially that they won against the reigning olmypic silver medalists. Go Nippon!
Also, Shinnabe has proven herself to be a pillar of Japan's strength today. Seeing Kobata and Ishii emerge as solid players is really something to look forward to especially with the likes of Ishikawa (who has been working diligently amd performing incredibly), Osanai, and Nabeya... Hoping to see the rest of the team play with so much passion and strength. Just like the old days.

This is what you call an epic match-up! This particular match between Japan and Serbia still gives me chills each time I get to watch it. Serbia 🇷🇸 is undeniably one of the ‘best’ when it comes to this sport and it’s no doubt how these strong and talented players play cohesively to help nab wins. However, Japan 🇯🇵 always has a masterfully crafted plan and this always helps them fight strong & hard. The Japanese players are predominantly known for their superb floor defense. Players know how vital it is to cover their entire area thereby helping their libero (who is TALENTED too!) with her job at hand. The Japanese players also possess this incredible skill of ‘blocking’ which clearly is one of their weapons. Finally, these amazing Japanese players also use their ‘thinking’ skill ~ they try to up their game by outsmarting their opponents.
This is why I love the Japanese volleyball players. They play cohesively. They show composure albeit pressure or crunch time (which is one of the contributing factors why they won against Serbia 2-3).

Japan made a magnificent comeback from two sets down (21-25, 21-25) to win the next two 25-20 and 25-20 and winning the decider by a wide 15-7 margin. Yuki Ishii and Yurie Nabeya both contributed 19 points each and the two middle blockers also scored a number of points. Japan did China a great favor in exhausting the Americans in their narrow 2-3 loss and this time they also wore out the Serbians in their narrow 3-2 win. How will this help China? We'll see tomorrow. Three points for China makes it a certain gold medal for them. Japan face Argentina next and should win and their final match is against the Netherlands which they have a chance of winning as Serbia had defeated the Netherlands 3-2.
they were defeated (3-2) recently in friendly match if im not wrong. but another good game is coming hehe
China also had a 5 set game with Brazil the same day Japan "exhausted" USA.

Japan is one of the hardest opponent coz they will drained ur energy just like what happened before against in Thailand they got the first 2 sets eventually Japan got 3 and 4 sets it's a tough battle in the last set both teams gave their best to winning the set but Japan stood out.

you should watch VNL against Turkey (Turkey was undefeated at that point). The score gap was so big but they turned it quickly.
