I had my Vagabond 47 for over ten years and my family did a two-year voyage together from the Sea of Cortez, down Central America, through the Panama Canal and around the Caribbean.....then back again. She was a fantastic boat with loads of storage and easy to sail. We also had four adults and four children aboard, yet it didn’t feel cramped! I’d buy another Vagabond in a heartbeat!!

New subscriber sends Greetings from Tucson, Arizona.
Beautiful boat! Your cockpit enclosure is EPIC!
    I'm seriously looking for a Vagabond, 47'-51'
'Belaying pins' are also known as Marlin spikes.

It sure would have been nice to have the covered cockpit! We had a very nice dodger system, but one in a while it became a waterfall down our back!

When we found our Vagabond with the hard top cockpit, we were so thrilled! It is very comfy in all seasons!

I just subscribed. I'm hoping my wife and I will be doing something like this in the next couple years. Looking forward to seeing what you guys do with her.

Thinking about buying one of these to refurbish- ours is damaged by a starboard list into water in a storm- will have to replace all electrical, refurb engine, and replace head etc. Do you think its worth the invest?

That all depends on what you're buying price is, sounds like a salvage price, in which case it might be worth it. Of course, it also depends (in my opinion) on how much of the work you are willing/able to do yourself, otherwise it won't make much sense financially I think.
