That first song was perfect for this video, i think they played this song on a lot of old school Gang movies, like Colors, and such, I know all the OG's hear this song and despite how Shitty things were back then, this is when they were young, and probably brought back memories of the happiest times of their lives, those who actually made it to Adulthood.
You had to really hold your own in the 80s as a blood gang member, because in those times the Crips were the more dominant gang of the two, & controlled much more territory than there counterparts, the bloods were pretty much forced into tiny little sections and rarely ever came out of their comfort zone. I had a brother who (was) Crip, & a cousin who is now deceased who was a original Piru from Compton in the late 70s
Crips in the 80s were bigger in numbers but it seems like they were really disorganized as well, the bloods were shorter in numbers but seems more organized and smarter, crips just seemed to kill each other too
Yeah but bloods would have access to a much more complete diet. They can use ketchup as a condiment. They can eat pasta with marinara sauce. They have access to pepperoni pizza, the list goes on. Crips are limited to what, blueberries and blue corn tortilla chips?

I grew up on 24th around the g parkway area in the early 2000's it was semi bad especially in the g when all that stuff was going on with the drug dealers and rumors of shootings. I remember hearing about the 29th street crips I went to Edward Kemble and we had color restrictions because the gangs in the area would set trip.
I was watching this video just now thinking it was all gonna be footage of LA. Then it got to the part where some kids were getting arrested by some duplexes and I said to myself that looks exactly like Sac. LA houses don’t look like that. Then I saw someone had a Sac town hat a lil later in the video and then I saw the state capital and was like yup, throwback Sac footage.

It was a time when the east was beautiful too. Crime dont got nothing to do wit how good a building looks or the type of tree that grows there
Man stfu
Maaan LA wasnt no joke back in the 80s... seeing all that street graf brought back them scary flashbacks
Idk why but there couldn’t have been a better song than this 2live Crew song for this video. Fits perfect.
Incase nobody noticed the bloods had their flags on the left pocket that shit about the right or left pocket didn't start until the mid to late 90's
Nickerson gardens projects
Pueblo's housing projects by btwn Compton Ave and Alameda home 52 bishop bloods
Nope, that was Del Paso Heights Sacramento
@@italianosac begining is nickerson gardens projects
That the Pueblo projects the Nickerson gardens projects was blue in the 80’s and 90’s
I don't know why but this seems like the perfect song for this video.
Big Respect from Bulgaria
Has to be 2 live crew
a bos it is
a bos song is called "coolin'
Hot song
@@rustyshackleford6637 lmfao 😂😂 nobody took banging that serious

Wild. The golden era of gang banging. High energy, pushing major weight, fully autos spraying motherfuckers. Shit won’t ever be replicated.
Mfs got switches now
Honestly that's good, I'm glad pussies are in gangs

2:13 Apartments say "NOW RENTING Section8 OK"
From a sociological viewpoint, the formation of this type of culture in the ghettos of L.A. back in these times is very interesting and telling, we can learn alot about how we ended up here and where we may go.
What is section 8?

use to roll like that back in 80's and 90's. those day we was represented to the fullest. back then homies use to stick togethers. now these day they turning on eachother. even homies will put in work for me and show love for me. that was family. they was my 2nd family but not any more. they all gone, dead, lock up and move on / move away. also no longer affiliates
Well that should be good. They joined a gang that wouldn't get them nowhere.
Serves them right. U give bad energy in life, u get a foot in ur ass soon after.
none of your damn business crips was blasting on crips since the mid 70s tho LA been fucked then crack hit that literally killed generations of us out here in LA
That phill collins instrumental at the end is still the hardest beat ever made in the history of mankind.

The first song is called coolin by 2 live crew
reminds me of 1973 when crips had become a very dangerous gang
Yes homie

Corey Compton facts💯absolutely and thats on Cali
Saw some Sacramento, Ca footage here lol
it was documented that bloods were always more violent and more organized and more deadly than crips
Bloods had to start using guns in the 70s, once the crips got heat it was over bloods never ever was deep in all red in LA in public, crips would be outside obnoxiously, bloods sneaked around LA
That graffiti at 2:19 of Hacienda Village Bloods was pretty dope. The Fruit Town Brims crossing out Hoover at 5:15.
Sacramento P.D..Damn that crazy that was me and my Cousin getting put n cuff i was n the blk jacket wow was young and Wild...

Hey I'm a youngster from sac and just really want to know was sac really that bad back in the 80's and 90's? I grew up on 24th around the g parkway area in the early 2000's it was semi bad especially in the g when all that stuff was going on with the drug dealers and rumors of shootings. I remember hearing about the 29th street crips I went to Edward Kemble and we had color restrictions because the gangs in the area would set trip.
@@zigzag1able Dude sac was like Disneyland back I wore my red and blue rag, never had a problem. One day I was crip the next day I was a blood
@@DAB901 : I knew it was Sacramento when I saw all the trees. I grew up in LA, but moved to Sac in the early 90s. Parts of Sacramento are just as dangerous as any part of LA.
2:24 you see one bloods name was odog at the bottom and he was a blood. Not a grape st from Menace 2 Society
O dog was a popular nickname for bloods and crip members before menace to society
Half the reason this shit dont happen anymore is because all the people are inside on the internet
Makes sense
Best Channel In The World Now ❤
Actually, this from a News segment in Sacramento about gangs in Sacramento in the 80’s. I think it was on KCRA Channel 3 back then. Look at The Sac Town Hat, Sacramento Pd, Sacramento Ambulance, etc
Its from compton the first part
Stop saying they can't wear the flag on there left side they wear it were ever they feel like it, bloods and crips came from LA yall need to recongize.
Not true idk about the blood dress code but crip you wear your flag on the left and one ear ring on the left and wear blue
Shut up u clown internet gangster fuck off

When neighbourhoods were lively . Now the hood just empty with a few drug dealers posted outside their houses . Streets empty now

These guys are 00Gs now
Seeing these young black kids brought out the house in handcuffs is sad as fuck. Its hard to watch. Those are children. They need help. Not jail time.

Real Crip then got roots in the gang.
Some of these guys still locked up today or paroled. Think about that.
1:28 that old LA gang map tho 👀. A line Crips? Never heard of that one.
