Nice weight and playability.
My first Musicman Bass sounds I heard was Kim Clarke with Defunkt on Thermonuclear Sweat (1982). Go and listen to this record if you like Funk or if you want to like Funk.
Bernard Edwards with Chic played Musicman Basses amongst others. I was 16 when I first heard the record Take It Off by Chic.

I just saw a single pickup butterscotch one live at a local show and it cut through pretty well for the rock stuff they played
