Thank you! Got the foot with tape maker but had no idea how to use it until a RUclipsr said it is for feeding the binding so I searched for how to use and found you. Now I can practice.
Oh thankyou so much for sharing this tutorial....I’ve just ordered this foot today as I’m going to try my hand at quilting. You explained things so clear. Wish me luck xx😂😂
I have just ordered the adjustable foot and your video is by far the easiest to follow and not at all stress inducing. I darn well sewed my foot to my fabric last night attempting bias work with a basic j-foot. I can do it but it is so hard to keep that line straight and even while sewing. I will rewatch as soon as my bias adjustable foot comes in!
This really is the greatest tutorial. I buy all of my sewing feet from Lords sewing shop and every time I call them they are always so happy to help me with any problem. THANK YOU LORDS SEWING AND ALL THE WONDERFUL STAFF X
Brilliant demo Kirsty! I have this foot but never used it as I did not have a clue what to do with it so thanks for demystifying it for me. You have just saved me loads of time. I am making scorecard wallets for a lawn bowls association and I bound the edges by hand what a nightmare, so this is also a very timely demo for me. Thanks so much. Off to play with it now!
OMG, such an awesome video. I'm making a reversible circle skirt that requires the use of double-sided bias binding around the raw edges and I'm so glad that I can use my adjustable binder foot to sew it on with ease. Since using this foot is new to me, I'm going to do a bit of practice first.
This was soooo very helpful. I purchased the bias tape makers and it came with this foot, but I had no idea how to use it. Now I feel confident, also it felt like a bonus because you showed what to do on a curve. Great info and thanks for sharing!
Excellent explanation throughout Kirsty thank you so much. I’m self taught and very much a newbie and have a little project someone has asked me to help with. After watching this demo I feel so much better about the process and actually feel confident to give it a go. I just need to buy the foot now. Thanks again I’ve subscribed so will hopefully come accross more of your videos x
Thank you for this video! This has been a huuuuge help. I've been hand sewing for over 20 years, and have just gotten my first machine and have been trying to figure out the edging, or as it geuss it's properly called "binding". I make all kinds if tactical and ourdoor type gear with cordura and the binding is absolutely essential on it. Again, thank you soooo much for making this!
Thank you so much. I have this Brothers foot & it was a bit fiddley for me. Cutting end & even starching could help. I now know the readings are in cm. We use Imperial (inches) in the States but I have both on my measuring tape. I've always hand stitched backs because the Amish Folded Star trivets are thick but it would work great on other projects.
Wow I have just come across this tutorial and you explain it all lovely and clear, I got sent this foot when I ordered something else and didn’t have a clue what to do with it so thank you. I am a complete newbie at sewing x
Thank you so much for such an awesome professional video.. I received my biase maker recently, it comes with a binder foot and I didn't know how to use it.
Great tutorial - thank you. I've had this foot for a long time and never known what it was for! I especially loved you using the expression 'Bob on' :)
Brilliant video - thank you so much! I’ve tried this foot in the past with poor results, so am now excited to try it again properly thanks to your detailed advice.
The front of the binding foot is raised to such an extent that my binding isn't feeding properly. I can see it's slightly elevated here as well, yet it doesn't seem to be a problem.
Every video I have seen on this foot is with hard, coarse fabrics, so it goes through without a hitch, because soft fabrics don't go through it - they jam or lose shape before they are stitched. I bought one and it is a nightmare for anything else.
Using the standard Brother presser foot holder supplied with the machine and genuine Brother Adjustable Binder Foot you should have no problem with the snap-on fitting. You may need to check with your dealer why it’s not fitting for you.
Rosanna, Janome machines seem to have the same click-on type fitting but we don't have Janome machines to test it being a Brother-only agent. Basically, if you can see from the video that you have the same fitting then it should work.
Really appreciate someone actually explaining how to use, and not just annoying music.

Clear, precise, informative, brilliant video. Thank you you’ve been so helpful.
As so many others seem to be here, I am also very grateful for your tutorial. Now I can finally use this mysterious item :-)

This looks like a brilliant foot to have and you did such a lovely presentation of it.

I just received mine and appreciate your tutorial on how to get the most professional results with it. Many thanks! 😊

Thank you! I needed to sew biding on cage liners for my parrot's cages and I didn't know how to use this attachment with my Brother machine.
The front of the binding foot is raised to such an extent that my binding isn't feeding properly. I can see it's slightly elevated here as well, yet it doesn't seem to be a problem.
Super tutorial! Would just like to know how when you have finished sewing how you neaten the end of the binding at the edge.
bazoin1 me too!
Me too
Me three!
Apparently, there was no reply even after 4 years. Drats.
Thank you for great video. It looks so easy&great.
Excellent tutorial Kirsty.
Very helpful, thank you! I have one problem though, the binder keeps hopping out of the little groovs when I’m sewing. Especially round curves.
I bought this foot and I hate it!! Thank you for this video.
Now I know what to get myself for my 68th birthday!
Can you you do a double fold with this? Like if I don't have bias tape, just a strip of fabric
Great tutorial!!
Excellent tutorial.
Thank you. That's really helpfull.
Thank you so much for this tutorial video. I have a question though, how do you finish the raw edges of the binding at the ends?
Hi Rhonda, Kirsty says that she removes the binding from the foot and finishes using one of the various traditional methods.
Thanks very much I'm satisfied
This is so helpful. Thank you.
A great tutorial Thank You
Thank u this was very helpful 🥰👍🏾
Thanks so much!❤
Thank you for tutorial.
Excellent tutorial. Does anyone make this foot to attach 2 inch tape?
Great video! Thank you!
How do you go around the corner?
can this be used to go around a 90 degree corner?
good job
Thank you!
Can this be used with WOF binding?
This attachment is good for shirt tails.
GREAT...THANK you so MUCH
Another foot I need
Where did you get the binding tool I can't find one anywhere
I just ordered a 42 piece presser foot set from Amazon and it was in there.
Every video I have seen on this foot is with hard, coarse fabrics, so it goes through without a hitch, because soft fabrics don't go through it - they jam or lose shape before they are stitched. I bought one and it is a nightmare for anything else.
Are you able to use this foot for knits?
how can found in Bangladesh ?
Does this work for the brother 1500S ?
This won’t work on the 1500s high speed machine.
the foot does not fit onto the clamp. the opening is not wide enough. i have a brother inovis nq3600d. what is wrong?
Using the standard Brother presser foot holder supplied with the machine and genuine Brother Adjustable Binder Foot you should have no problem with the snap-on fitting. You may need to check with your dealer why it’s not fitting for you.
Is this suitable for a jenome machine.please advise
Rosanna, Janome machines seem to have the same click-on type fitting but we don't have Janome machines to test it being a Brother-only agent. Basically, if you can see from the video that you have the same fitting then it should work.
Do you starch your fabric prior to binding?
Joanne, I would often starch the fabric that I'm applying the bindng to but not the binding itself - Kirsty.
Zipper foot low shank
Disappointed. You did not show how to go around corners.
