You do realize they make thermo sleeves to cover suppressors so that they don't give off a heat signature right, and it also depends on the weather conditions of now fast a suppressor gets hot enough to glow in a thermal optic as well so say it -20 below 0 F 3 shots won't make it glow 75-80 F and up its going to need to be covered or it's going to glow on thermals.
Before the the video finishes yes, and the only reason I will confidently say it will is because the the barrel of a 240 or 249 will start glowing under NODs after a good amount of rounds😂
Would be nice to see how it looks when he's prone and in a semi-covered position. Also if you don't have a suppressor the muzzle flash will give you away instead
Double fun fact, with whitehot thermals your surroundings would look colder just so the sight could render the heat of the suppressor, and you glow like a nightlight on nvgs
Well you have to shoot it for the suppressor to get hot..just like the rest of the rifle not to mention your body is hot constantly. Secondly if you’re popping shots off, you’d want the suppressor to reduce your report. If your shooting enough to have hot hot cans…they obvious know where you are
I assume this is more relevant for night time hunts. Yes they may have a general idea of where you are, but under the cover at night spotting you may be difficult. And if your just escaping from a conflict or trying to stay hidden the heat from the can being hot enough to show up like a glowstick can make spotting you exceptionally easier
@@sniperh2o325I suppose, a naked barrel in that case would only be marginally worse, since the supressor gets hotter in a shorter amount of rounds. But I think the pros outweight the cons on this one, since there are measures to hide the suppressor
How hot is the bullet when it is fired? Is it possible to record a bullet in flight or even the trajectory of a bullet in slow motion through thermal optics? I'm just wondering out loud..
No bc the barrel etc would give you away. Most people do it to look cool. One, kinda crappy optic. Two, suppressors are usually matched with a can coozie. Third, sure the suppressor sticks out, but the barrel started giving off light a lot faster than the can did. Maybe if your can/barrel gets that hot, you're too far in the shiz to care about thermal signatures
So THATS why most suppressors in games are wrapped with some kind of padded blanket or something (dont judge me okay I dont know the name of that thing😂😅Im just calling it by what it looks like)
