This game is one of the reasons why I kept my Xbox 360. It certainly has a better story mode than SvR 08's 24/7 mode. 24/7 mode was just a disaster, it kept me trapped doing the same thing over and over again no matter which superstar I chose.
Best WWE game ever. I've been playing svr 2007 since it came out mainly cause of the GM mode. My only complaint is that this mode could have been improved upon (cutscenes would have been nice) but after 2008 they just got rid of it altogether. It still has some amazing replay value for me having stuck with it for so long. I can't say the same about any of the WWE games before it.
For which console should I get it? I know it looks better for the 360, but my inner child wants to replay it on the PS2, which is on what I would play it as a kid.
i dont get why the developers took so much good stuff outa these games over the years.. i mean they took out the fun backsstage brawls and the sleeper hold minigame that was fun, also there are no bra and panties matches, and so many other things that THQ has taken out over the years and thats a big reason why these series peaked at 06 and 07. even the new wwe 13 is missing so much that it is good but not even close to 06 and 07..

I love this game and I have it on ps2! But I also have an Xbox 360 but I doesn't work, so hopefully anytime soon I will send my 360 to be repaired and I will buy this same game on 360 just for the graphics😉
For those saying reversing is hard on this game, look at SmackDown! Here Comes the Pain. It didn't have a reversal indicator so you really didn't have any idea whether it was a strike or grapple. Especially in the Royal Rumble, you get Irish Whipped over the top rope and you don't reverse the strike, you're gone. No meter, just straight up gone I play SmackDown! vs. Raw a lot of the time and I can assure you, reversing is harder

SvR2007 and WWE2K15 ( 2K15 on PS4 & XB1 ) are the best fighting/WWE/sports games that I've ever played... WWE2K14 was boring after 30 years of Wrestlemania and the universe mode was.. nothing no cutscenes I'm in 2018 on my Universe mode undertakers streak is 26-0 and I've seen like 8 cutscenes..

Plus, the roster could be bigger and have more NXT stars. The people on it look weird tbh.

2007 simply has no significant redeeming qualities that set it apart

Kyle Lee I agree. 2K15 sucks. Then controls make no sense, the roster is smaller than some past games and it's mostly full of clones.
