The idea of bond is good but the film's are so lame. Not a decent one made yet. Try father brown instead and count the hats Mrs McCarthy wears per show. 7 is the most up to now 😃
I would have thought that with all the on line streaming services that the BBC/ITV/C4 would try and change their format a bit. But it is the same old Christmas Specials that are just the same shows with Christmas hats. I understand that the big films are no longer there as we have already seem them on streaming or dvd. But Blankety Blank and Mrs Brown Boys etc. I mean are they really going to do make no effort.
I don't think I saw much of last year's festive line up really from what I remember-and I doubt from here that I will do so this year either! Of course, Christmas Day at 3.00-3.10pm or so on BBC1 and ITV1 I guess we will have for the first time The King's speech instead of The Queen as before; no doubt of course he will-rightly so-reflect on her sad passing, and this will be reflected later on in the News I am sure. No doubt many viewers will watch this understandably; but as I say, as for the rest of what is on, well who knows I wonder? Thank you anyway!
Thanks for the info Adam but must confess I'll give what these three channels are showing a miss. Like you I'm fed up with the talent shows they've run their course.

Here we go again. For the umpteenth year in a row there is NOTHING that appeals to my interests. Far too many cookery programmes and 2nd or 3rd rate gameshows. And films that have been on so many times before it is a wonder that they have not been worn out yet. Seems I will be spending a lot of time with my hi-fi again. Unless the minor channels like Pick, really and blaze have anything.
Secret Life of Pets WAS going to be my first 4K Blu Ray, it was on my Christmas list BUT we went to visit relatives that Christmas and because the house we rented just had a regular DVD player, I downgraded my choice of format to have the movie on to a regular Blu Ray, which includes a DVD.

BBC are reigning champions for me here! Although I will endeavour to watch Arthur Christmas 🎄 🥰 Also, you'd love the Wheel! ❤️
The beeb is dire this year, stick a bit of Holly on and call it a Xmas prog!
@@josephstanton4872 has been dire for years. The sooner they disappear and scrap the licence fee, the better!!
Only if your on the BBC payroll do you defend them.
Here's hoping the BBC finally axe Mrs Brown's Boys after this Christmas. After last year's appalling instalments, I won't be bothering again.
I don't think they will. I read somewhere Brendan O'Carroll signed another deal to see him continue until 2026 - BBC are utterly mad. What has Brendan got on the BBC, he has them over a barrel.
Out of the BBC's programming the only one that really interests me is 'The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse' ........... also, as an aside, I too don't see any appeal in the long running Mrs Brown's Boys. But to each his/her own ...........
S1-3 of Mrs. Brown had the best episodes!

Any Match of the Day on Boxing Night?
Boxing Day is on a Monday this year. I should know, it's my birthday 26th December.
@ MrShowbiz48: My late cat Mister Ellis was born on that day! Happy birthday when it comes.
Happy Birthday matey in advance. ditto Easter and August bank holiday 😁
I always notice that BBC 1 seems too show more films than the others do right up too New Years Day, As always ill be watching The Snowman on Channel 4 celebrating it's 40 Year Anniversary
Decymister, and how many millions did the BBC squander on that horrible version of Coppellia
i agree with you on mrs browns boys, as funny as bowel cancer. wheres the bond film then.
Seen one bond you see them all zzzzz
The idea of bond is good but the film's are so lame. Not a decent one made yet. Try father brown instead and count the hats Mrs McCarthy wears per show. 7 is the most up to now 😃
I've seen some of Ant and Decs limitless win, actually quite good I'd recomend it.😊
I'll add it to my Christmas watch list!
@@AdamMartyn I think Season one is available on ITVX.
Can't stand those two
I would have thought that with all the on line streaming services that the BBC/ITV/C4 would try and change their format a bit. But it is the same old Christmas Specials that are just the same shows with Christmas hats. I understand that the big films are no longer there as we have already seem them on streaming or dvd. But Blankety Blank and Mrs Brown Boys etc. I mean are they really going to do make no effort.
and after the bbc news a programme about a one legged vegan putting rubbish in the bustbin in 2 foot of christmas snow.....ho ho ho🎅🎅🎅
C4’s pree ‘iron giant’ idents are the best
The C4 ident with the wheelchairs racers in the front at New Brighton.
Jesus Christ what a load of rubbish the tv not the video:) I remember when Christmas tv used to be amazing 😢so so bad in recent years x
Is anyone not bored of Call the Midwife?
Yes.
All the best characters either left or got killed off
I stopped watching years ago
dvd's then for us !
Usual shows with a sprig of holly.
How about for channel 5?
"Four Weddings and a Funeral" is not a Christmas movie, IMO. It's been years since I've seen it, though.
Sadly i will not be watching any ITV because ITVX isnt available to my Panasonic device and i will not be buying a new one just to watch ITV.
Just get a fire stick or something similar. They are cheap now.
Itvx is the same as itv player just a revamp
Basically the same old repeats again. Some even repeated the day after
I love the reper shop.
And I love catch Frase and in for a peny Christmas special and love l9st voice giy and love Saturday night takeaway and the chase
I mean lost voice give
Thanks for the info Adam but must confess I'll give what these three channels are showing a miss. Like you I'm fed up with the talent shows they've run their course.
Looks like the Xmas idents are the only thing original worth watching !
Another year, same old tired crap. The only thing that will redeem Christmas this time round will be the third and final series of His Dark Materials . . . and it has been a long wait!!
Enjoyed your rundown. Comedy on TV is becoming a dying art . Mrs Brown and Ghosts and something with Jimmy Carr is the only new comedy on .
Nice!
8:51 - It is the Dudley Moore one
Wow. I don't think about the christmas schedule in this year. For BBC1 this schedules is good for me becuase of the good movies and animations. btw, did you know in poland on every christmas eve on 8:00pm they showing Home Alone on one of this channel?
In Poland, Home Alone will be on Polsat.
Oo, new episode of The Detectorists on Boxing Day at 9pm!
Mrs Bland Boys more like 👍

By any chance that you know of the BBC's line up on the Sign Zone as it's a good chance of seeing the progs if you missed them the first time around - if you don't happen to have catch-up or any of the hi-tech stuff. 👍👍👍
Boxing day is on Monday so why Sunday Brunch is on then? As the Xmas Radio Times is out this Saturday we will see what BBC2 and 5 will do before then I suspect...
Doc Martin is the last one
It’s not a proper Christmas unless they show The Great Escape. Always great to watch it with your German relatives.
Or the Snowman. RIP Raymond Briggs.
🤣🤣
Family film is it? 😁😁😁
Yes but used to be shown on Boxing day and one of the other channels used to show a Bond film
@@tuborice4571 agreed
Chitty chitty bangs bang was on channel 5 last year
Lots of suicides at xmass time looking at this tv crap i can see why
Here we go again. For the umpteenth year in a row there is NOTHING that appeals to my interests. Far too many cookery programmes and 2nd or 3rd rate gameshows. And films that have been on so many times before it is a wonder that they have not been worn out yet. Seems I will be spending a lot of time with my hi-fi again. Unless the minor channels like Pick, really and blaze have anything.
fyi, "The Wheel/Michael Mcintyre's Wheel" is just "Celebrity Squares" with added motion sickness.
Channel 4 won the Christmas wars
thanks for the great entertainment
My pleasure!
Call the midwife, eastenders, mrs browns boys in that order on christmas day for the twelfth or thirteenth year in a row
Fall asleep to them in the same order too
ITV really? Festive GMB?! Festive Lorraine?! Festive This Morning?! Christmas TV used to be a break from the regular scheduling. Going to check the Sky channels, hopefully I'll find the Morcambe & Wise and Two Ronnie's Christmas specials
This lot makes me glad I don't have a television!
If you're thinking about watching that's my jam well the UK version do so me and my mema watch the US version with Jimmy Fallon was the one you were looking for and it's really fun so you're going to get a kick out of that
It isn't Christmas til you've watched the showman
Or even the snowman
Christmas Eve The Shaun The Sheep at 12:40pm is The Farmer Llamas and then Shaun The Sheep The Flight Before Christmas just before Secret Life Of Pets
thank goodness l have netflix only a few things for me on those channels this year.
Netflix - RUclips - BBC iPlayer and All4 are for me during Christmas. I will rarely watch any linear channel. Since Doctor Who left Christmas Day after 2017, there has not been anything to appeal to me.
I think it would’ve made an interesting video if you looked through Radio Times while narrating and then compared it to a Radio Times from 20 years ago.
It aint Christmas without a good scary ghost story and a chilling murder mystery or Agatha Christie adaptation!!!
and a bond film.
@@dealgood 😆 true!!
@@darkvader7231 have you seen a short film called whistle and ill come to you, also i reccomend a series called remember me wih michael palin and all through the house wih joan collins part of a amicus film.
