I am so tired of the same shooter type of games or boring "exploring" or even the same type of "horror" games. Give us new types of gameplay that are fun.

The only thing we can really do to improve and impress now are less visual and more coding intensive. Like physics and simulation.
Realistic visuals all depends on your art direction. Just look at what Crysis archived with it's colors and shading look in 2008.

Honestly, some of the games here would look just as good, and run better, if they were on UE4 instead like RoboCop and Jusant
The problem with UE4 is the stuttering that has never been fixed. UE5 from what I've seen mostly deals with this issue (though of course it can still occur due to other engine related issues) so companies moving to UE5 makes more sense in that regard. That being said, small developers who put out games like Robocop or Jusant have an easier time with UE5 because it's supported more by Epic. And I'm not sure I can tell from your comment, but you know that Robocop is on UE5 right? Just making sure :D
@@LordLOC stuttering can never be fixed even on consoles with just pre-compilation, shader compilation is just an asset(an image/texture) linking to shader code that will use that image for that device(GPU specific), UE5 the number of combinations of shader+input image is too big since everything is dynamic(nanite, lumen etc), so devs need to find a way to do it better like they did with streaming.

Get Talos Principle 2 if you want great looking and a great game. Unreal 5 too available on Steam for only $30.00 I liked it better than Portal series and actual more fun that Diablo 4 with much better graphics.
How is it possible he skips the best one that is not beta or vaporware but available on Steam for the past month or more. "The Talos Principle 2 written by CrowTeam, makers of Serious SAM using Unreal 5 Engine. The best visuals for this type of game ever made. Visuals are breath taking yet not even mentioned in this review.

UE4, there are tons of optimizations on older code, also it could also run on old gen consoles.

All those looking good becomes tedious and nothing special anymore. Because any AAA studios can achieve those beauty on UE5, but i hope the gameplay can actually catch up instead of eyes candy 😅
