Absolutely love this guy's own music, his live mixes (even caught him live once ), and just the general music his labels puts out. A DnB legend in my book.
Its refreshing to see someone who is not like “Now lets split the bass into 37 segments, 10HZ each, use 8 compressors on each and 15 EQ’s, resample 5 times so you can run it through this external gear... and I am telling you, you can’t do otherwise..” simplicity wins!
Klute is one of the most talented Music Producers and has been for decades. The guys music is truly wonderful and consistently original.......................... The first DnB record I ever bought was Leo 9 / Blackout in 1997 and its still sounds amazing nearly quarter of a Century later............................ Nothing but love and respect for this guy.
Wait, you’re telling me that some of the best DnB I’ve ever heard over the past 20 yeas was made in this bedroom studio on this jankie gear? That’s it, I’m never spending another dollar on equipment. “Saviour” is still one of my fav songs of all time. Timeless classic.
By the way, there's no telling that Savior was done here and on this (probably on something much, much older), but the tune is certainly not demanding technologically. Just everything in its place (I love it too, as Hell Hath No Fury).
Until I saw the newer hardware I thought.. “is this one of the old dnb masterclasses you guys had like 10 years ago?” Klute! I got a few of his records laying around from back in the day. Great producer. He’s been at it for ages!
For me a top 5 DnB producer of all time, genre I've been a fan of since late 90s. Prolific and quality producer. Speaking of dnb producers who still make quality stuff Goldie's latest lp is really something else, really digging that one, or I think it's his latest, 'The Journeyman.' Not enough musicians producers still have that signature style and do their own thing, too many fall into well tread molds imo. Klute another rare exception to that rule.
Wanna know why KLUTE is of the best to ever do it, in DnB game???? Because he's the best, F'ing drummer ever! Check him out, singing/drums- THE STUPIDS and trip out like I am rn, (Jesus meets the stupids, 1987, fav album) seriously the best skate rock band of all time! WHAT A LEGEND!
born to built to grind . checks all the boxes for me . Truck ad references, melodic, shit production, perfect. He was about 15 at the time if memory serves. (he didn't produce that record, I know)
No way!!!! Its F'ing, TOMMY STUPID?!! Yeah dude!! The Stupids.....are seriously the best skate punk band ever! mid 80s-present? (think still play once in Blue moon) The man is a legendary, how awesome! The Stupids are my favorite band still! Down with Klute for sure!
I can relate to spending Days (months) moulding presets etc 😭 Never heard of this dude. Wish he would have saved his project/plugins to give us a better look, but still nice to see how he actually cares about each sound he uses. 👍🏻
thousands of pounds spent on various synths, monitor speakers, desktop hardware and software... Zero pounds spent on air con... Just kidding, BIGUP KLUTE and CMM , you are a DnB legend!
Fuckin' DnB machine with 52, and yes... he is shy but what he says is also better than those modern producer have said in their entire producer life... and also being humble. However, I have to say that the other producers are younger and I understand they do not want to share too many secrets from their productions.
Poor bloke. He's so nervous that he's sweat about a stone off onto his floor. I'm not a drum 'n bass aficionado by any means, but Klute holds up the genre for me.

Klute you're a legend and I will forever be thankful for Hell Hath No Fury.
I keep listening to it throughout the years and it never gets old. Bigups!
Klute sure is a legend, but for whatever reason, this feels like CM vid from 2007 :) probably because of a bedroom studio and him being so shy :)
true ... that old school mac screen 😬
That's what I thought! I checked the upload date and realised it was this week haha, should have known by the Neutron under the screen.
When I saw this I was not sure if this was on old ass video or completely new one 😆
Klute’s records are razor sharp. Thank you for this
Big Respect Klute you are legend 52 and still DNB ...just wow!!
Wait, you’re telling me that some of the best DnB I’ve ever heard over the past 20 yeas was made in this bedroom studio on this jankie gear?

Absolutely true my friend :) All about the vibe and so much less about having the newest most fantastic plugins...
Gear never made tunes. Just enabled some of them.
Klute has a rather sample-oriented workflow, so I suppose it's not very demanding.
By the way, there's no telling that Savior was done here and on this (probably on something much, much older), but the tune is certainly not demanding technologically. Just everything in its place (I love it too, as Hell Hath No Fury).
@@Vospi Klute has got mad vibes... Im pretty sure it wouldnt matter what he produced on...
None of the gear is jankie by any stretch?
Coumputer Music, you guys have been inspired me to make music when I was young, please keep putting our content for us!
Until I saw the newer hardware I thought.. “is this one of the old dnb masterclasses you guys had like 10 years ago?”
Klute! I got a few of his records laying around from back in the day. Great producer. He’s been at it for ages!
Chilled dude, cool insight, think he was a bit nervous 😅
“Antisocial resonant frequencies”
Appropriating that phrase immediately

cool dude. seems down to earth and humble
Klute is a lovely bloke. Huge respect and love for him, and a great conversationalist too.
I was hoping he would talk about this workflow with the hardware synths and sampler on the desk...
this guys music is epic he light year ahead of others signed to hospital
Would have loved a tutorial from him on drum programming

Where’s part 2?

spent a few days moulding a preset until it sounded how i wanted it to sound - many, many producers could take this advice.
Bwahaha. Bongos on an ASBO. Brilliant!
that ending, lol
First part of that sample sounds like the beginning of Clear Skyz

Top 3 most influential dnb producers. Other 2 are Goldie and Trace.
Of all time.

Whys my man so sweaty cuz? Gonna get droplets in his zx spectrum or whatever it is he's rolling with. Safe.

Klute from Uk and Klute ( klaus Larsen aka Leaether strip) from Danmark . Same name other music .
looks like he needs to call 111
Poor bloke. He's so nervous that he's sweat about a stone off onto his floor. I'm not a drum 'n bass aficionado by any means, but Klute holds up the genre for me.
coke no? ...
"Um"
Why is he so sweaty? Figured a studio room would need to stay nice and cool.
They must be using some ridiculous light setup for the video.
This video must be over 15 years old based on his display monitor
A lot of good music was made before HD screens !
Behringer Neutron and Roland Tr 09 less than 5 years old i'd say
Please no more DnB
Please only DnB
Please ALL the DnB
Chose the wrong vid mate...
lol
Please more and only DnB
