For the novice spectators, the commentator should explain why/how a service return wins/loses a point. Don't just admire the agilities/long hard rallies/near or away table strokes. These guys are super pros. Their services are so delicate/refined/spinny to create a winner, directly or killing the return. They can even disguise/mimick the wrist movement to fool/force the opponents to error. Gotta play to experience it! A wonderful, precise and super-fast sport. That 2.7gm ball is not easy to handle. Thanks for the upload. Love it!
@12:01 Wang disguised it as a backspin but the actual ball contact was on the side of the ball (sidespin) yet he turned his bat up at the end of the stroke to fool Oh who lifted his stroke to counter what was actually sidespin that effectively kicked the return off the table. That's world-class. Where is the commentator?
I agree. Adam Bobrow never knows when to shut up. He may know more about the game than this guy, but as a commentator he's nowhere near as good. He's better suited to zany RUclips videos.
