I owned one back in 2006-8, a little old Yamaha, but I let a guy borrow it for a show and never saw him again. I just purchased this model and am ready to see what all these things can do nowadays. Always an eyecatcher.

Nice video! My Vortex Wireless 2 arrived a few days ago. I am experiencing the "Hang Notes Issue". I didn't have much time to test it deeply yet. I had the impression that it is related about "how far you go from the USB dongle receiver. Not sure. I saw that a huge number of guys are experimenting the same issue. Did you experience it? What should I expect about it? Any idea if is this going to be fixed, updated? I am so confused as well about "how far can I play from the USB receiver without any issues. No information about it in ANY source on the internet. Thanks for any help.

It’s only midi, no built in sounds. I think MainStage is your best option for playing live. I’ve been using it for all my sounds for a while now, works like a charm!
RunkkuRusina It is mainly just a midi controller so the software is whatever you run on your computer etc. It is however probably the easiest keytar to navigate around and ive ever played so yes...great for entry level. :)

RunkkuRusina No man. You can use the software you are already comfortable on. Its so easy. I literally opened a new logic file...plugged the dongle in to my computer and it acted as a controller instantly. Didnt have to change any settings.

My understanding is that the Vortex gets its sound from a computer. How is the sound amplified if you were playing with a band? I'm assuming that the amplification has to come from the sound source - the computer and not from the Vortex. If that is so, how do connect a computer to a keyboard amp?

I would like it to have the functions: (1Play -Stop, 2change track/instrument down - 4 record - 5/copy 6) paste 7/quantify all) programmed on the PAD. Also some way to use the knobs to control the volume opf each track, and the possibility to scroll left/right for the volumes to fit even more tracks. Is that possible on this + cubase?

Tej Chauhan I think it would. I seen another RUclips video where the guy had one of these and plugged the dongle into his Kronos and it basically became a wireless Kronos. Do a search on RUclips and you will see the video for yourself.

Well, with most setups the keyboard is probably running through an audio interface, which typically has one or more different kinds of output options in the back - mine has 1/4" Left and Right outputs so you can just run run some ordinary guitar cables out to whatever kind of amplification system you want to use.

This is a controller keyboard so has no internal sounds. You need to plug it in to a computer and use software
