The responses to this comment are cracking me up. The portraits in Royal were updated cause the Vanilla ones looked wonky compared to every other piece of character art (IE Mona's head shape or Panther's mask not covering her nose), it has nothing to do with Royal and Vanilla supposedly being two different timeliness or whatever crack theories you all came up with. It's bizarre that they aren't using objectively better art. Like we'd all complain if a P3 crossover used Vanilla P3 portraits instead of Reload ones right. We all know there's gonna be a quality inconsistency when Violet inevitably gets added right

@@WarriorV8 disagree, both ann and morganas vanilla portraits are honestly inaccurate to their models among other characters. The royal ones are just more refined and better proportioned

@@WarriorV8 again, matches the model a lot better. the face is rounder and the nose doesn't look as long. looks more natural in royal
Something I wish the Phantom Thieves did... is their outfits evolving with their persona, imo Sataneal is the most badass Persona in the series but then Joker's outfit didn't change. He's design is still goated tho
Expecting a situation like digital devil saga 2 with the protag fusing with another character and getting a new appearance and demon form should not be expected as a norm.
Plus there’s the fun of how always some outfits could end up looking, plus spoiler shenigans, plus having to go thru quite a bit of animation tweaks and/or additions that would need more commitment then an alt costume which could cause weird and problematic clipping or cover ups on what would look good on the basic outfit.
Plus since this is a CN mobile game you know they are gonna force micro transaction gacha outfits and likely terribly impractical ones that will likely be lazy knock offs of thar personas to nickel and dime extra costs out.

I haven't been keeping up with this game as much but is there a lore reason that they're reusing Kamoshida's palace assets or is Atlus trying to hoard money again?
The P5X crew is from another timeline, their metanav app seems to have bugged out or something and because of that, they have been sent to the original P5 timeline where the Phantom Thieves are still on Kamoshida's palace

not sure if this collab event plays into the time and events of kamoshida's palace, but if it does, boy it's weird how the phantom thieves act like they've known and done stuff with Joker for a long time lmao

All of them..? Besides lufei/cattle. The phantom idols aren't actually phantom thieves
So far we've only seen 3 awakenings. Wonder, Closer, and Soy ( who is not in this scene )
Most of the P5X characters are Phantom Idols. Cognitions. Meaning it's not actually them.
We dont know how many actual Phantom Thieves there will be in P5X, so far we have 3, and one more ( Riko / Wind ) will be joining soon

im not sure of the real reason but it could be his va, mamoru-san, is busy cuz he did hav alot of roles in anime these past few months
@@ningen_shikakuu so far his CN voice actor have regular speaking lines, it can be assumed KR va will be the same. It can be assumed this problem will be fixed in subsequent regional versions of the game or re-runs.
