- Elder Quentin L. Cook of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints joined about 400 others Thursday night at Riverside Church in New York City to honor former United States Sen. Joseph Lieberman for his lifetime of public service.
“He is a man of faith and character, honest and exemplary in his conduct and exceptionally capable,” Elder Cook told the assembled members of the New York Latter-day Saint Professional Association (NYLDSPA). In his 24 years as a senator and six years as attorney general of Connecticut, Sen. Lieberman was a leader of high moral standards.
I'm waiting for Lieberman to speak out against apartheid in Palestine, or even Elder Cook for that matter. I am waiting.
I am not waiting for apartheid to be really happening Israel. Considering it is not

Our Church’s love affair with leftest politicians is disturbing to me. According to the Freedom index in the The New American magazine Senator Lieberman kept the oath that he made to God to “preserve, protect and defend” the constitution 10% of the time. It is our doctrine that the constitution a divinely inspired document.
The Church is doing it's best to befriend Jewish leaders in order to maintain good relations with Israel and Jews.
I'm offended by jumping Joe Lieberman and I wish the church would leave politics alone.
No comment on these Democrats Joe Liberman or Harry Reid, or Mitt Romney for that matter. The church is true though.
Sorry Mr. Lieberman, your faith only amounts to "playing church" and isn't to be taken seriously.
