Honestly, this made me choke up. El’s bravery and finally saying goodbye to the man who stole her life and family away with grace and dignity shows how she’s not just a scared little girl who doesn’t know her own strength anymore. But even so, I feel like Brenner deep down really did have love for Eleven and view her as family deep down, and he truly realized that while dying and witnessing her use her gifts the way he’s always wanted.
The way I saw it was that Brenner created this extremely strong being and only saw her as an extremely strong being, not as a true human and the ending proves that he loved her as a result of his own research being correct. His 'I'm proud of you' was not him being proud of her, but him being proud of himself for getting her powers back. I don't think he loved her as a hunan being but as we love our things and items. For me the moment when this song plays and Brenner is dying and El comes to say her last goodbye to him, it has to be the most defining moments of the entire season for Eleven. First, she has this sense of sympathy and guilt when Brenner says that he has always only tried to help her. It is a very emotionally devastating moment for El because Brenner is the first person she ever saw as a father figure. She placed her trust on him like a child does but all Brenner did was treat her like a lab rat so he could perfect her. They do have a parent-child bond so El naturally feels guilty to an extent for the anger and hate she feels for him. But then she realizes and almost relives the pain in her mind, the pain her Papa put her through over all these years, the pain he put Terry through. And then you see it in her eyes as if they're saying "That's it. We're done. You're never gonna hurt me or the people I care about again. You've made me what I am but you're the reason I've suffered so much and it's over now." I think it also says a lot about what a lot of kids feel about their parents. Parents often think love means coercive control. They try to shape the child's mind, goals and identity as per their convenience. This is why so many people lose their attachment to their parents over time. This is one of the best scenes in the entire series. Hands down. The music just takes it to perfection.
This is my favorite song in the entire show. I love the music in season 4 because it became more orchestral and the way they slide between the notes is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever heard. This song is one of the reasons a lot of people cried at the death of a man who they otherwise hated. I just love the tragicness of this song
When the strings come in...wow. They sound like grief and bittersweetness and hope. An ending and a beginning. This is a very moving score, perfect for where El is now. I was so proud, watching her handle that whole situation with grace: acknowledging Brenner and saying goodbye without absolving him of his actions. I just really hope she makes it through to the end of this story. Henry and Brenner have taken so much from so many people already; I want El to survive them (and the feds, too, because goodness knows that's not over either).
this scene touched my heart. it is the theme when mike and el first met. and to end it off with el and dr. brenner, him dying. it was... perfect, very cinematic...felt like i was watching some movie in the theater....the music the script in this scene no words can describe. the creators of this music needs more credit.
Can't think of a better theme for Eleven. This is absolutely perfect. Both the original and this orchestral version. This is one of those scores that just stays with you for a very long time, like an old memory. I love it so much.
I was watching season one again. And this was playing behind eleven and Mike's Convo when they exchange their names. And goosebumps. This is a masterpiece of a trach!!!
The music for season 4 is so masterpiece! It seems they really had time to create everything in perfect position with perfect instruments and perfect variations. Hope they will got Emmy for this, because without music this season won't be so epic❤️😍
One of my favorite scenes in the entire series! So many conflicting emotions. Of course Brenner was horrible to the other "test subjests", Eleven and One, but this scene reveals that he truly cared for them and only wanted a family, instead of him just being a bad person. And also Eleven in this scene! Leaving Brenner because how he in the end did more harm to her than good. I really love how they expanded his character and gave him a death he truly deserved lol. Instead of just being killed by a demogorgon in S1.
He was a bad person. He loved them as long as they did what he wanted them to and served his purpose. The moment they went to live themselves, he dragged them back and punished them, all the while convincing himself that he was doing it for their own good. It's a very accurate description of abusive relationships.
This music is so beautiful and emotional, it even makes me cry. When I hear this music I think about how Eleven suffered in the lab as she grow up with Papa and never lived a normal life like all children.
I notice the music all the time, and I cried so hard when I watched this scene, partly because of the music.❤️😭 this is so beautiful💕 it really shows how much eleven has grown with the music, and it shows how much of a strong and powerful person she’s grown into💕😭
The fact that she refused to obey 'Papa' as his last ever order to her, even if disguised as compassion and understanding, made me so happy. It was the ultimate moment of character growth; with his death, she finally became truly free of her past. And when he asked for forgiveness in disguise, she turned around and walked away. I loved that scene so much.
Superb piece of music. Love him or hate him. Papa was partly responsible for everything. And it's a great piece of music to send him off with. Great scene where El cant bring herself to forgive him and just says goodbye.
The saddest part was that this actually happened to kids just like El. Project stargate, Montauk, and Mk ultra are all very real. My heart goes out to all those little ones that had to suffer. 😔🙏
This music makes me wanna drown in sorrow in a hollow smoky river where the sky are colorful as the sunrise 🌄 peaking by the oceans 🌊 such a sadness, such a inspiring deep music 🎵 god I love this theme makes you think back all the nostalgia, the good and the ugly 🥺
I love eleven, she has been my favorite since s1 as I really connect towards her in just wanting to be treated just like everyone else eventhough I'm different. To here in s4 ep 9 that Mike truly loved eleven no matter how she looked or that she had power's..he loved her for the type of person she was which was someone who would do anything for her freinds even sacrifice herself. I don't wanna let Anyone down but I think in s5 eleven is gonna sacrifice herself again to keep everyone safe for good, she started it and with her being alive the bad stuff is just going to keep coming unless she dies.
When I saw papa die and this music played, I didn't feel bad at all. The next day I kept thinking about it and then I felt bad for brenner. Sure He was somewhat a villain but he also cared for eleven.
He cared for all of the kids in his morbid way, he did spend time with them and give them gifts and mourned their deaths, he even searched and pushed EL to get 001 back, he cared for them all but his job and passions got the best of him and so he became emotionally abusive.
I’ve been looking for this score every since Volume 2 came out!! In the moment of Dr. Brenner’s death it just made me so emotional and I think the music really makes it sentimental as well!
Am I the only one that when she gets up and walks away it reminds her of when Peter Parker walks away and says his speech at the end of Spiderman 1 in 2002? in my opinion it reminds me a lot since even in both scenes they put their main themes 😱💥
I tried to make a promise to myself to not cry if Brenner died, but this song along with Brenner saying he's proud of Eleven got me. This scene has been forgotten about and it really shouldn't, it's one of the most pivotal moments in the show, watching the man who stole everything from El and made her life nothing but pain die solidifies the end of a chapter and the start of a new one for El.
Maybe it’s too cliché, but I could see the series ending with Eleven and Mike several years later telling stories to their kids about what happened throughout the series, kind of like the ending with Katniss and Peeta in Hunger Games.
Great score, but i still feel bad for Brenner. But also i feel bad for El, they didnt have a great connection at the end and i wish it could have gotten better
seeing eleven say goodbye and use viewer know that she has grown and is not that scared little girl she used to be and is choosing her own path to go forward
"Good. My time has come. You must continue your journey without me." "What... what are you..." "Master, you can't leave me!" "You must believe." "MASTER!"
This is the scene that gave me the most feeling of the season, Eleven saying goodbye to Papa really hurt me. Although C suffered a lot by her side, he was the person who raised her and helped her advance in her most crucial moment. And he, without a doubt, loved her, in truth she was her daughter. But hey, some get the ending they deserve and i'm glad at least Eleven was with him in the last moment of his life.

You've made me what I am but you're the reason I've suffered so much and it's over now."
I think it also says a lot about what a lot of kids feel about their parents. Parents often think love means coercive control. They try to shape the child's mind, goals and identity as per their convenience. This is why so many people lose their attachment to their parents over time. This is one of the best scenes in the entire series. Hands down. The music just takes it to perfection.
Not me crying over here because I'm trying to rationalize these feelings with my parents...
Beautiful, I feel that the Season 4 OST has stood out from the rest for me, it’s been the best by far.
Season 2 OST is still the goat imo, The Return is unbeatable.
@@THE202 when does it play in season 2? I’m actually rewatching it rn!
@@smeegshuman s2 ep 8, Eleven's reunion with Mike.
@@THE202 and Soldiers
@@thefabro30 Yeah, those 3 episodes carried season 2;
1. The Spy
3. The Mind Flayer
3. The Gate (still the best episode imo)
I loved this scene. Thats when Eleven finally risen above herself and could let go without Fear, Hate and pain of the Past.
hands down the best song off the score of stranger things
No way! This is an amazing twist to the Eleven Theme. So emotional and epic. It must be on the original soundtrack. Thanks for share it
This song is the definition of bittersweet.
It's a very accurate description of abusive relationships.
this beautifully wrapped up els arc 😭
This music is so beautiful and emotional, it even makes me cry. When I hear this music I think about how Eleven suffered in the lab as she grow up with Papa and never lived a normal life like all children.
I notice the music all the time, and I cried so hard when I watched this scene, partly because of the music.❤️😭 this is so beautiful💕 it really shows how much eleven has grown with the music, and it shows how much of a strong and powerful person she’s grown into💕😭
someone needs to make a 1 hour loop of this
I noticed this when I first watched it and I was so happy they brought her theme back!
This song is a masterpiece, the composure is out of this world. It bring tears in my mind and awakens memories of the past.
This them was unexpected and the best .Explaining all the feeling about a character.
This scene was one of the best scene I've ever watched......this made me cry harder....I've watched it like 100 times..
this score is SO beautiful i’m in love with it
The fact that she refused to obey 'Papa' as his last ever order to her, even if disguised as compassion and understanding, made me so happy.
It was the ultimate moment of character growth; with his death, she finally became truly free of her past. And when he asked for forgiveness in disguise, she turned around and walked away.
I loved that scene so much.
I cant get over this track. Its soo gooooood
Superb piece of music. Love him or hate him. Papa was partly responsible for everything. And it's a great piece of music to send him off with. Great scene where El cant bring herself to forgive him and just says goodbye.
Fingers crossed it’s a heavily orchestral score next season, then I’ll actually pay attention to the show more.
I like the background sound more when eleven uses her powers. When she kicks Vecna to another dimension. So cool!
2:13 goosebumps!!!!
its obvious that with this season they paid a lot more attention to the music
I damn near cried when her theme popped up
Finally I find this beautiful music
And in that moment, Eleven was finally free.
This scene was more intense then the others where it plays but the original score (Eleven) is a lot sadder in my opinion.
This music gives off such a maze runner vibe, I love it
This scene and song teared me up pretty good
This scene broke me. It was the first time i've ever cried out loud because of a movie or show
I love eleven, she has been my favorite since s1 as I really connect towards her in just wanting to be treated just like everyone else eventhough I'm different.
This song is really heartbreaking this was a very emmotional moment for Eleven
Oh I’ve been meaning to look for this and this one came right across my feed. I loved this music and music led to hit that scene in so many levels 🥺
This theme is so beautiful. Props to the music composers of Stranger Things they play such a huge part in many scenes.
When are they gonna release this epic score album?! Been waiting since day 1 after I finished s4!!
The way Eleven left him to die a second time lol
Maybe it’s too cliché, but I could see the series ending with Eleven and Mike several years later telling stories to their kids about what happened throughout the series, kind of like the ending with Katniss and Peeta in Hunger Games.
Who’s here after seeing those pictures of that Doctor officiating El’s wedding?
Man I'm gonna miss Matthew Modine.
GOD IM SOBBING ALREADY
Great score, but i still feel bad for Brenner. But also i feel bad for El, they didnt have a great connection at the end and i wish it could have gotten better
I have no idea why this isn't on the ST4 OST
It was, check it out in the episode called "papa" when Brenner dies
seeing eleven say goodbye and use viewer know that she has grown and is not that scared little girl she used to be and is choosing her own path to go forward
Full body goosebumps
That this isn´t in the OST for season 4 is CRAAAZY
God-tier! 🩸
"Good. My time has come. You must continue your journey without me."
"What... what are you..."
"Master, you can't leave me!"
"You must believe."
"MASTER!"
Where did you get this? I can't find it in the official score album
I LOVE THIS CHANNEL SO FREAKIN' MUCH. I've been searching for this song for 4 days! 😭💔And now I've finally found it ❤️🎶💯
Where is it SPOTIFY ?? 1 year and a half later
I pay attention to the music in movies and shows
goosebumps
R.I.P PAPA 😟
This was the same music used in S1 for El staying over at Mikes for the first time, and during the conversation about “bad men”
The music had me crying during this scene. I felt weird crying during Papas death of all deaths but it was still emotional
"Goodbye Papa"
Even Everyone's Negative Opinion On Papa but, Ending of Season 4 Episode 8 This Song + Eleven Says " Good Bye , PAPA " really melts Heart 💔🥺
Beautiful
I have serious question guys why this show having so emotional musics like i really hold my tears so hard when i hear to those musics like this one and eulogy , deep and fields of coral i really don't know the secret or they are just great electronic music producers? ❤😢
I seen every season of stranger things
