Someone who's extremely overlooked in the strength conversation is Kane. At one point, Kane was just walking muscle. The ease at which he would lift some of the heavier guys... Just astonishing!
Well Claudio didnt fight him in his prime and his strength were really going downhill in 2010s. Agree that Kane in 1990 & early 2000 were really strong
yeah Kane in his prime was stronger than the Big Show i think. Mark Henry tho just has this brute strength

Mark Henry being vetted as the strongest man was like Kurt being a gold medalist and using that moniker for life.
But Kurt IS an olympic gold medalist and will be for life. Mark isn't the world's strongest man and has since passed that moniker off to the next twenty or so winners.
@@shootboxpodcast even to this day Mark Henry still holds world records for some of the heaviest lifts ever done by a drug tested athlete, who also came back clean.
So he still has legitimate claim as the World's Strongest Man.

@@Streetkillz13 mark henry won a competition called the arnolds strongman (i could be wrong but i think i remember it wasnt the best field of athletes that year) theres no doubt hes strong got some record lifts but the guy is meaning thee actual worlds strongest man competition, thats seperate from what mark done and he never competed in it, there is a good chance he would have won it at somepoint if he stuck to competing in strongman. (braun strowman was tipped to do well in that industry before he went to wwe)

Yeah, especially since he favors all the crossfit stuff in lieu of going heavy. I'm sure he has great strength for throwing around mid-sized guys, but that's not gonna convert to the pure strength of some of the other guys.

Nahh man Seth Rollins is very strong for his size, have you seen him powerbomb Roman Reigns, he picked up Reigns a few times and hoisted Roman from that classic powerbomb, piledriver set-up, and he ran with Roman on his shoulders to deliver that Buckle Bomb, Im not sure how Rollins can handle big guys like Braun Strowman but Seth showcased his strength againt guys his size or slightly bigger

Idk why he didn't look at Claudio the same way. He was already polished in everything else. Remember they gave him Heyman which would've be great for him but dropped him like a bad habit for no reason

Kayfabe wise 2005 Batista but in reality Batista in 2002-2003 was the strongest and most athletic, there was one match (maybe a tag team match when batista was with Devon) and Batista picked Mark Henry for a firemans carry as easy as Lesnar, Batista 2002-2003 was def The Animal

Worlds strongest man was not a gimmick
Nothing too surprising here, except maybe him mentioning Seth Rollins. However, strength or being "strong" doesn't always have to do with size. Some people are just naturally strong. Obviously, working out and lifting weights helps with all of that, but some people just genetically have that strength that weightlifting just enhances. For example, grip strength. Some people can work out a ton and not really have that, while some people are just born with it. They can literally just grab your arm and squeeze and hurt the hell out of you.
yeah its also easy to forget muscle density, and some guys like seth you can just tell are more than ripped the way john morrison was/is, he has an extra bit of chisel that almost always means dense muscle. thats why 2 guys can be similar height weight appearance in size but the slightly smaller guy is stronger

Not trying to take anything away from Cena, dude's a beast but lets not forget that the leverage his body uses when performing the AA helps him lift heavier, unlike Cesaro doing his spinning thing or Mark Henry's WSS where your opponent is IN FRONT of you, essentially making it harder.
