      I use 10-15 lb braid to a 15 lb fluorocarbon leader. I was using a mix of haat spoons and kastmaster spoons

    Dawia or Pflueger reels @wisconsin anglers, I’m a budget type angler as we know😂 need some help deciding for two need reels for next year for casting and what not

    • @Tony_Cass_
      @Tony_Cass_  2 года назад

      If you wanna be on a real budget and a good bang for your bucks I’d get a Piscifun Carbon X 3000 size. That’s all I normally use and I like how light it is for constantly jigging and casting. If ur interested use the code WA18 and u get like 20% off that reel too😳

    • @evanstelling9692
      @evanstelling9692 2 года назад +1

      Oh snap! Well I guess I know what I’m buying for my next reel

    • @Tony_Cass_
      @Tony_Cass_  2 года назад

      Yessir😰they’re even on sale rn for like 30 or 40 bucks off and then u can get another 20% that price which is like another 10 or 15 so I’m pretty sure ur saving like over 50 bucks.

    Seems like a pretty simple set up. I keep getting skunked and am on the verge of trolling for em but don't wanna spend the money. You basically use a kastmaster and vertical jig it?

    • @Tony_Cass_
      @Tony_Cass_  3 года назад +1

      Ya man it can be tough. Don't be discouraged quite yet this year has been a very very off year. The fish have been weird and aren't really coming in like they should have already. Most of the fish if not all of them will push in with in the next week for sure. Theres also a gear video that was just uploaded that goes over a few different jigging techniques along with what kinds of baits to use and when. Good luck out there!

    Have you guys tried Racine lately? My buddy and I were up there last weekend and he had a screamer on that eventually spooled him and broke him off at the spoon. I am hoping to get back up there after the third of September. Hope to see you guys out there fishing this year. Keep the reels screaming!!! As well as do you think you could do a little jiggin spoon 101 for the guys or girls who have no clue how to jig a spoon from shore? I am having trouble getting the rhythm down. Thanks!

    • @Tony_Cass_
      @Tony_Cass_  3 года назад +2

    Those were some great hookups even you didn’t land the fish. I know the salmon fishing can be a grind, but when you get those near shore open water bites that is as good as fishing gets. Keep at it!
