i have almost the same laptop.....hp 14s with i5-1135g7 cpu...but can you help me????i tried to upgrade the ssd to a samsung evo 980 nvme 1tb but when i try to install windows the install doesnt see the ssd....so i put the ssd in another laptop and installed windows...i put it back in the hp 14s...blue screen inaccible boot device....so i tried another nvme and still the blue screen....do you know what it can be?
I solved it! Put intel rst driver on the usb installation stick and when the screen appears for selecting wich ssd to install install the intel rst drivers and it Works now
Sir i have this hp 14s. And today im experiencing a problem, as i turn it on it shuts down for about 10s having an error saying "thermal shutdown occured". I have to turn it on many times until it starts normally. Any solution with this problem sir? Thank you.

No first of all if you will pair a 8 gb with 4 gb it will use only 4 gb of it resulting in a total 8 gb And on the second thing cpu will use lower frequency for both of the rams in your case it will use 2666

Some time my one cn,nt booting so i forcely use the power switch for shut down then boot again..

u can try see inside the BIOS have settings need to switch to AHCI or maybe change to another brand of M.2 SSD
