Ernie C is a criminally underrated guitarist, and one very gifted musician and songwriter. Ice-T is also a very skilled musician he is very good rapper, but an equally talented rock/metal musician.
Ernie C is one of the greatest to ever play, his riffs and solos kick so much ass, he plays with so much passion, still can’t believe the first time I ever heard There Goes The Neighborhood, criminally underrated all over every member kicked ass! just a masterpiece.
The internet at its finest! Thrilled to see this guy thriving after all these decades. I feared he'd become a statistic out of one of his own songs. Hugely underrated player and also incredibly innovative. And what a lovely guy too. Funny to imagine him living in that gangster scene and being the "nice guy"!
Some of the best guitarists are those who are relatively unknown, like Ernie C. and David Mondragon (who actually covered Ernie C.'s part in _There Goes the Neighborhood)._ I'll take them over some of the big-name "shredders" I can't stand all day, any day.
Before anyone says anything, Ice-T has already gone on to say he wasn't a Ranger and Ernie apologized for stating that. It's not a stolen valor thing. It was accidental.
Very gifted guitarist, but very innovative that put guitar tracks down on rap music prior to Bodycount. Their debut album Bodycount, was so good, millions of white kids were turned on like 'Oh Hell yes, I can get into this!' Hip Hop did that as well prior to 1992, but... comprised of all black members playing music that was predominantly given to us by cheesy white hair metal bands at that time, these guys really shattered racial barriers. More or less, for metal ...Bodycount was a real taste of both reality and a breath of fresh air, and in 1992, metal really needed that.
This should have more views. I'm from Australia and when I first herd Body Count I fell in love with that guitar sound. Thanks Ernie C.
He's one of my all time favourite guitarists. I've never seen an interview with him.... He seems like a lovely guy 💪

True!
I met him at a Body Count show in Long Beach. He is one of the nicest people I've ever met.

"that's why I play guitar" he said. He is indeed under rated and a beast of of a player.

I need to know what was used for the chorus guitars on NO LIVES MATTER. Holy shit. Most amazing tone.
This dude is fucking lovely and knowing that he's around doing what he does collapses any global pandemic fears.
