The coffee table looks great and/ youor genius with the legs is brilliant. ,Dont forget to take a bunch of branches with you when you go tFor your surgery ,maybe you can persuade the Surgeon to use a few on your Knee .With a a hinge too that would look really sharp on your knee and giveyou that natural sprngi in your step. Ken, you might want to get one of the "Big Buddy" propane heaters from MrHeater along with their adapter hose. They aren't cheap (about $250 plus $45 for the adapter hose) but will heat 450 sqft. Probably for less than what that little electric job would run long term. Plus it would be available if/when the electric power goes out
Don't get me wrong. The Buddy heaters are good as I have one, but they are vent less. So all combustion gasses and moisture stay in the space. The Modine he has is vented so it's a better getting the combustion gasses out.
Hi Ken, just so you know if you do another project like this you can always use an electric hand sander for a vibrating tool on the outside of the molds to get rid of the air bubbles. The table looks great.

The tabletop is going to be absolutely gorgeous. I’m intrigued by your idea for the legs. Did you consider topping them or using one of the smaller branch pieces that you used for the top on the ends? If the legs don’t come out even it could be a good way to even them up. A lot of the resin artists that I watch on RUclips have a mold release spray that seems to make unmolding easier. That having been said, I’m impressed by how easily the table top came away from the metal sheet. I’m excited to see the finished table with the clock installed!
Good day Ken, we'll have to see how the cast resin legs turn out, if not try some white birch limes or other hardwood. The top came out GREAT, " PERFECT ", as Al would say, " I like IT " !!!
Awesome Idea!! I would of probably cut the legs longer and then trim fit after you have your molds with the branches and the epoxy is all done. And think that a slight angle on the legs would be good.
Hey Ken, just a thought. You could temporarily move the kerosene heater from the Vardo to the shop with a new heat hose run inside. That place would feel like Florida in about 15 minutes. Just sayin'...

I think it would look gorgeous with retro 60s wooden legs that screw in or even a cast-iron that comes down from the center bottom and curls up in for different directions! I'm sure glad that the frame mostly came off! that background pour really sets the color for the whole pour. It looks good. Kind of a rosy color. The color goes good with the wood. That underside looks wonderful. I really like that underside! Yay, the rest peeled off! I like the leg anchor you came up with. I had a table with those leg plates on it. That's beautiful! So much character in that table! Copper pipe? Will that work? Pour epoxy around a branch in the PVC pipe. Cool! I'm glad that came to you. It's fun to see you figure out how to do this! Next time the back will be the front. That is a good idea for the next. I would think the legs 🦵 would be the last thing after getting the top surface sanded and finished the sides also need to run across the table saw and or a jointer then a router to do a round over. Beautiful job on the table. If you ever make another, you may want to use the base stock on the edges too. Furnaces seem to pick the oddest times to quit. Mine went out 2 days before Christmas 2024. It wasn’t repaired until Boxing Day. In my case, the furnace induction blower failed. ❤️🇨🇦

Speaking of your plastic wrap there, I have cut those rolls up and it has worked fine. Just cut that roll into that you have. Then make a separate axle for the other part. It's actually quite handy to have a narrow roll for different purposes.

Looking at the bottom of that table and wondering if the next one should start upside down just to gain that appearance. Also, any air bubbles would be closer to the bottom. Oh, another idea for a table theme is cutting the bottoms from wine or beer bottles and having those unusual shapes showing through the epoxy. I'm sure you could source them through your recycling center or a restaurant.

I thought you were messing with us when you pulled out the PVC pipe. PVC pipe legs on that nice table???? Nooooooo!!!! I think the epoxy and branch legs will be interesting. Looks like shrink wrap, similar to kitchen wrap, wants to stick to itself but not what you want it to!
Sorry for your troubles Ken! If you don’t mind, how many BTU is your new furnace rated for? I built a 30x40 pole barn, and now researching propane heaters. From what I’ve read, 40,000 BTU is about the minimum for 1200 sf. The barn is well insulated. Looking forward to seeing Dan and Chad working with you again!
You should have a heat load calculation ( manual j i believe its called) done to determine the appropriate btus for your area and cubic volume of air in the building.
I don't think it's very efficient to have a heater up near the ceiling. The hot air stays up there where you aren't, unless you use a fan to send it downward. It would work better to have it down nearer to the floor. Also you might think about having a heater that can operate without electricity in case your power goes out. Home Depot has a nice Williams propane wall-mounted heater with a vent out the top. 25,000 BTU for $725. Very easy to carry and install. The vent pipe could go up and use the old heater's vent, so that would make it even easier. I'm not sure if that's enough for your workshop. Depends on the area and insulation.
25,000 BTU would work if that garage was insulated to the same level as a house and you never opened the big door in the winter. As for ceiling mounted heaters, it's actually in the code that they need to be above the floor because most flammable fumes are heavy and the floor is where they accumulate. IOW, "BOOM" is a distinct possibility. Also consider that floor space is usually at a premium in a garage.
@ That works well when the unit is running. In my shop I have a small desk fan on a high shelf, pointed downward and connected to the light switch. This keeps the heat near the floor while I am out there. It also helps keep the heater from running short cycles when there's plenty of warmth up near the ceiling.
The Modine heaters are a good product in my opinion. Good to get it replaced. The fins are called heat echanger sections and the assembly is just a heat exchanger. They usually crack, if yours has holes than its an old one. Im assuming there is not much for natural gas distribution up there if your on propane. Table looks good.
I was disappointed when the hardware bag for the table got dumped and it did not say Ace. The bucket behind your table set up is impressive with the Ace logo bucket. Home Depot is more for big contractors like you. Nice video. Looks like many projects with the knee, train, table, and other items.
I think I would use a 16 inch length of all-thread running right down the middle of each leg. I would paint them brown before I poured in the epoxy, so they blend in with the branches. Did you siliconize the insides of the PVC pipes?

Doing too much for the legs, I’m more conservative so I would use black metal square legs
