  • Emirates replaced the normal Boeing 777 with an Airbus A380 on April 10th 2014 to commemorate 10 years of the Glasgow-Dubai service.

    I was lucky enough to be on that flight with my wife en route to Chiang Mai in Thailand. What an experience

    you know the a380 will be flying in and out of Glasgow daily in the next few months don't you. Emirates have just spent 4 million on a new vip lounge too.

    brilliant video i noticed no reverse thrust on 1 and 4 engines must be 2 n 3 only

      Hi John, that's right, 1 & 4 have no reversers as they tend to overhang the runway and are at risk of ingesting dirt/gravel/grass etc.

    I didn't think it was possible that a A380 could land at Glasgow.

      It can land and take off just fine, it's the taxying and parking that are 'non compliant'...

      @@henrygiusti2827 That's what they were saying before the regular service started Henry. They said the taxiway was non compliant and a full ground ops vehicle escort would be required. Changes were made before the regular season started in 2018.
