Great video. I took the day off work to see it and got two videos of it landing over Clydebank college then went to the Showcase Cinema to see it taking off. Totally amazing
Haha when it went into cloud, everyone was like "oh:/":P It even had Glasgow 2014 titles!:O How awesome! Is that going to be a daily visitor now? Or was it just to mark 10 years? Like the landing, the video is flawless. Well done Harry. *Wakes up tomorrow morning* *checks youtube* *10,000 views* ;) Liked and faved Pal!
Ahah thank you very very much Archie! No one off for just now but fingers crossed it come again! Oh god I wish :O 1000 would be more than enough haha, thanks gain!
Great video! Was also at crash gate 3 - black jacket, glasses. When it went around into the clouds it was quite a moment! Got a good picture of it just going into the clouds as it passed right overhead. Great day out and such an amazing sight to see it at Glasgow!
Oh wowey , woke up today had a look on youtube and saw your vid at 2300+ views. Now ive just come to comment on it and its 3200. Just wow, absoloutely fantastic mate. YOu really ought to be proud of seeing her. Lets get this vidd up to 10000 , that would be epic. Again well done matey , huge like from me :-)
Great stuff fella. Missed this as I was travelling back home from work in Oban. Must have been some sight. Edit: I just became your 500th subscriber ! Where do I claim my prize ? lol...
Absolutely fabulous. Love the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games livery on the plane! Will be landing there in three weeks time. Looking forward to my visit to the West of Scotland again! :)
I'm in the video there in Gama's wee patch with some colleagues. It didn't land first time around not because of speed but because of a slight technical issue. Later found out because of the flaps on one wing. They were being tested quite a bit while parked up at the terminal. Great video, many thanks
Cracking video and beautiful plane. Shame I missed the day - I was off on holiday to HK in an Emirates A380! Great plane to fly in BTW, whisper quiet and tonnes of room.
Nice video man been looking most of the day for something in HD. Did the a380 not stop in front of you for a few minutes to allow u to get pictures etc?
Tonight's Scotland Today, on STV-or ITV 1, if you prefer, had an interview with the Captain of today's Emirates A380, and would you believe it, he's a Glaswegian too...enjoying his place in history as the first pilot to bring the A380 to Scotland. His name is Ian Weir. Good for him.
Fantastic footage, glad someone caught the go-around. Might want to fix the description though, the flight was originally operated by an A330 and not A340.
It was a planned fly by, the landing gear was not down and had no intention of landing on that pass. A6-EET was only 9 days old on that flight, so essentially brand new!
Hello, if you read the news paper articles and the interviews with the captain (Ian Weir) you would understand it was Not planned and there are many pictures to show you the landing gear Is down. I have pics Myself.
Awesome! Passengers on plane? and yeah that thing is too big to taxi into the airport, i live near heathrow and i see a A380 everyday like a million and i have also been in one first class and the emirates first class a380 is the best :D and also the news sent me here :)
Also the go around was planned for publicity reasons too, hence why it was both high and that they hadn't dropped the landing gear. But otherwise this is one of the best clips of it I've seen, good one.
Hiya, the go around I can tell you was not planned! You can see the gear doors shutting after it rotates again, but thank you for watching :) Much appreciated
If you know the pilot ask him the reason for the overshoot. ... He was not going too fast . Absolute rubbish. It was a planned overshoot to show the aircraft off to the media and the city
AaronsTech & Gaming well, our airport (Glasgow) isn't built for aircraft such as the 747 & A380 I didn't think the runway was long enough for the A380 to land!
Fantastic video Harry! Wonderful catch and filming of some magnificent piece of history there! Well done! Liked a ton! SUPER LIKE! :)
Thanks so much buddy! :D

Hiya, yes lots of pax on board! Very lucky of you! Not too big but it took up 4 gates :L
cool!
We landed at Dubai at 4:00am their time so 1 here
4:38 😍😌
Also the go around was planned for publicity reasons too, hence why it was both high and that they hadn't dropped the landing gear. But otherwise this is one of the best clips of it I've seen, good one.

I know the pilot, he lives in clydebank, great guy :)
If you know the pilot ask him the reason for the overshoot. ... He was not going too fast . Absolute rubbish. It was a planned overshoot to show the aircraft off to the media and the city
Henry G shut up
I had a terrible view I was away at the roll Royce bit and it was really busy aswell
Ach shame :/ Oh well hope you enjoyed it
And my camera was getting fixed so I had yo use my ipad
It wasn't because they going too fast it was because they wanted us to see it twice, the captain said himself on the news:)
actually, the reason the plane went around was because the pilot wanted to show the plane off..
I took off on it to Dubai there were hundreds off people watching
Do we the right runway requirements for a380s?
AaronsTech & Gaming well, our airport (Glasgow) isn't built for aircraft such as the 747 & A380 I didn't think the runway was long enough for the A380 to land!
Starwars Geek well I see daily 747s flying out and in.
I remember the takeoff
emirates loves the a380. they now have 140 orderd. i think if a a380-900 gets every build. emirates will be the first in line
I was on that
12,000 views brah
It smelt
