We Can't Debate Food Here: Thomas Tayebwa Trashes the Food Queries From MP Alioni Yorke Odria

Deputy Speaker Tayebwa has blocked a debate by MPs on the money charged by the new contractor operating the Parliamentary Canteen, saying such a move would tantamount to Lawmakers over stepping their mandate in the guise of fighting corruption within Parliament.
His ruling followed a concern raised by Yorke Alion (Aringa South) who questioned the criteria used by the Parliamentary Commission to award the contract to operate the canteen without following the procurement laws, claiming that the move has seen the prices charged skyrocket.
