These “The Tale of” videos are fantastic work. I always wondered why HBO never really kept up with them but I’m glad to see that you’ve picked up that particular ball and run with it. Incidentally, I’m not entirely sure if the HBO series was “The Tale Of” or “Legendary Nights” off the top of my head. That not withstanding, this series now three episodes deep is most compelling. Great work.
Still wonder what Judah said to Cotto during the hype that made Cotto laugh. First time I've seen Cotto smile at that point of his career, he was such a stoic animal, Miguel Cotto, true legend.
@@helpraznidentitystopanti-a3946 I’m crying 😂 imagine this nigga zab said to you he was gonna kiss your juicy lips before you were scheduled to fight 😂😂😂

Great video OfficeHancho. Though not the best fight to remember due to the amount of heated fouls, it was exciting at the time it happened from two underrated fighters in Cotto and Judah.
Has a Puerto Rican i must say you are correct.....o mean....look at Cotto when he turns hes eye sight and then shot a perfect lowblow left hook, i mean, Trinidad did the same shit every time he found out the oponent was quick on hes feet? EVEN THO Larry merchant points out at the moment of the foul "But Cotto dosen't have a history of doing that" because Jim mention the Vargas/Trinidad fight AND i don't call it the ball breaker its more like the speed neutralizer. By way...sorry for my horrible english, is not my main language/tonge.

I still remember watching this fight live. One of the first fights I watched with my entire family and family friends. It was amazing how Cotto and boxing could bring people together. Cotto is a Puerto Rican legend.
@@eljoelo2459 that shit was blatant as fuck I don’t think I’ve ever hit someone that low aiming for the belly button region is a lot higher then where Cotto hit him it was on purpose.

Please do a take of Mickey Ward vs Emmanuel Burton/Augusta. Such a great fight and such a major clash of styles that often gets forgotten. Probably the best fight of the “Friday night Fights” series
Miguel Cotto has always been my favorite fighter. Not the greatest fighter but definitely my favorite. I'm American Puerto Rican and for that boxing has always been our sport along with Mexicans. Cotto is the only 4 weight devision champ for Puerto Rico. He fought all the big names and fought. No bitch in his blood. He MADE his money! Nothing but respect for the dude.
I mean we got some of the best. Vargas, Gomez, Trinidad, Martinez, to name a few but none have done it like Cotto. His best business move was when he got Roach at the end. Bring in a big name trainer, at the time the biggest big name trainer, umpf, you got a boxing monster
The tale of pacquiao vs mayweather. You know we need this hancho & speaking as a fan we know its a big ask given the sheer layers of dialogue & events surrounding that fight but thats why you are the only one too do it justice & go in depth & detail about everything surrounding the fight. Much love from the UK
Zab when he was coming up had the most natural talent ive ever seen in boxing, but he was a 4 round fighter and didn't have the mentality. When zab was 15 they had to fly in sweat P for sparring because nobody could give zab work
@J. Moore He prolly had better hand speed...that's about it. He wasn't big enough to be a premiere welterweight. And occasionally looked like a limited rounds fighter whereas Mayweather always looked as fresh in the 12th as he did in the 1st. Judah wasn't the strategist nor complete boxer Floyd was. He was a nasty fighter which was probably one of his best, though questionable, assets. Mosley would have dropped him.
@J. Moore I agree with what you are saying. If you look at their natural ability. Zab was probably more gifted. Power Zab, Speed, Zab, youth the same age. What Floyd has that separates the two. His mindset was on a much higher level. In the ring Floyd is always disciplined while Zab would lose focus. Also Floyd's defense and stamina seal the deal. Those two have a lot in common. But Floyd had the stronger mindset in boxing.
@J. Moore Yessir. Very well put. I couldn't have said it any better myself. That was a great break down. I wish I could talk with more boxing fans that was neutral like yourself.

Sorry... I'm not a Cotto fan... but at 6:23 there is no buckle... at all. In slow-mo anything can look like a buckle, but he took that punch and kept going. He had a great chin.
A fight between two bald guys is always more interesting because it is easier to see when a punch lands or misses and bleeding, bruises, and cuts are more visible.
