What a comeback!
Oh, wow… one hour ago
Nice vid
Absolute tier one! :)
When Misha disappears, Robert arrives...lol!
Wow Robert remembered he has a channel lol. Love how George never stopped working the whole time.
Tool me a while to figure out how to login
Our boss has us using gps login with facial recognition, I bet Robert wouldn't steep so low.
@@itisflat1356 damn!!!! Hardcore. I don’t care where someone logs in from as long as they get it done on time. Downside of being a mechanic though
@@RobertMitchell if i book a gt2 taxi ride will I get the footage as a souvenir?? Or should I get my own gopro for footage?
The only man worth listening too on RUclips haven’t seen you for ages ! Hope all is well Robert
Thank you Rob!!! So happy to be back in the biz
George, typical English mechanic, he's into getting that motor stripped and he just gets on with it, good stuff.
He’s all right
Wow, 4 month. We missed you Robert. Tier one forever!
Finally something on your channel Robert, I hope that you’ll stay here for longer ;), I’ll watch it after the lecture
Good luck in the lecture
George is well clued up 🙌 You should gauge it same as marine engine's ,, hours used ,,based on time not miles for oil change...
Thx for the thoughts 2gt3. Hours are hard as the car will have to idle a lot waiting to get on track. Often that is longer than the lap therefore brake pads really are a solid reference point!
Welcome back. 😀
And Tom Stamp back as well. 👍
The return of the Tom Stamp timestamp
It's been a while, glad to have some new content to make me feel tier one
I haven't felt anything until Robert uploaded this video today
Always tier 1
This is the kind of info I like to hear. I look forward to the great reveal tomorrow. €299 per lap is a bargain for this car IMHO. Love it.
Great seeing you here 964
Definitely a good come back, glad to see you & George talking about the cars & maintenance, Rj in Oz
Thanks 👍. good to be back:)
Comeback we didn't deserve but the comeback we definitely needed. I have lots of hope we won't have to wait to see more.
Yo tier 1 media BACK IN ACTION!!!! This upload made my week Robert, cannot wait to see the red E30...has'nt it been a year already?....
I hope you enjoy it!!!!
@@RobertMitchell I sure did!! On a sidenote, why don't you drive the Schirmer M2 more often and when is the E30 going back to its oem form?
Epic return! Welcome back Robert, we've missed your videos.
Fascinating. Enjoyed that. So much to learn. I could sit with George and chat/interrupt him for hours while he works 🤣. And i guess I'd want Davie as my taxi driver.
Haha, the dig at David Pittard being hard on cars. Not the first time we've heard that. I'm sure he's fun for customers as a taxi driver though!
He’s great:-)
Great video! Thanks guys
Really enjoyable watch Robert 👏👏
Don’t get enough George on here 😁
That’s super-interesting to me, thanks for sharing! Looking forward to the video about the engine details
Prayers have been answered. Vlogs! 🙏🏻
Awesome content as usual Robert💪
Exciting to listen to you about wears and tears, in a car "abused" on a racetrack. I have run a taxi company in a big city, and have been driving 100K km yearly in city traffic. It's like 200/300K km on an ordinary road. Maintenance is about avoiding stops. All sudden stops are expensive, sometimes you have to wait for parts. People often asked me why I used expensive cars such as Mercedes and so on, and not cheaper cars. The cheaper ones couldn't stand the use, and the labor and the parts are as expensive as on the more expensive cars. The big issue is to get parts, with Mercedes you could get parts on demand, with cheaper cars it could take weeks to get parts.
Welcome back, very interesting content!
Finally! 👍✌👏👏😍
I'm glad you are back and it's always awesome to see George work with the cars :D
Can't wait to see second part :)
Robert! Welcome back, I hope you enjoyed your break. Typically not a huge RUclips commenter but I've been a fan of the channel for something like a year.
It's a pleasure to be here and I just want you to know I really do feel you have something special in terms of content.
I don't think these types of videos including insight into a business / what actually running a car at a serious pace will do / takes on ring culture / etc. are common on ANY topic, let alone one that has to do with the most demanding track in the world.
Please keep up the good work, your videos were missed.
I can listen to those stuff for ages. Thanks for sharing ;)
Do you know what’s funny we were thinking about cutting this up and making it shorter but we said you know what let’s just make it a nice little chat people can follow along with :-)
@Robert Mitchell - missed your videos! Great to see you putting out content like this - its awesome.
Great to see an upload 👍🏁!!
Welcome back to RUclips! Happy for more content from you, I hope your pause was relaxing
Enjoy Liam!!!
Glad to see you back. Will definitely be watching the 2nd part of this video and all the others after this.
Andre thank you so much! The next video comes out tomorrow
I sure hope that George is being paid very well.
A tick over minimum wage 🚀
Priceless
Shop rules: regular shop rate $110/HR … if supervised $185/HR …if you want to help $350/HR $10,000 minumum charge !!! And I’m sure it has a weird multiplier for pounds and euro, so no straight conversion rates to translate from dollar amounts!!
SO George gets minimum wage, AND future fame N fortune, with personal use of sponsorship items!! Lucky Bloak!!
Rare treat.a Robert video. .makes me happy.sending best wishes.🙏
Great to see you again Robert. You're looking well and you have an amazing team at Apex.
Can't wait for part two. Cheers. 👍😎
Engine tear down! Watching a modern mechanic is like listening to good music! Robert returns with a view of the trenches.
Liked and shared, always good to help promote these new RUclipsrs 🤣 good to see you back 👍
haha THANKS Richard :)
I was waiting for this comeback a while now 😄
Always a pleasure to hear you speak Robert 😉
Good stuff! Real nitty gritty info. Nothing as good as running the ring could be cheap or last forever. Thanks for sharing
Great information!
Good video
❤️
This man is back! Looking forward to watching this
Enjoy Lawrence
Return of the king
;)
Welcome back, mate. Hope you’ve been well!
Welcome Back Robert ! Missed you bud 🙂 hope all is well. Just started the vid but had to say glad to see your back
Best content on YT, thanks, Robert!
My mind has been away from the Nürburgring and my project car for the last year or so Robert, but after a little shake down drive this afternoon and another of your excellent videos, I've decided there is no better time than the present to start planning my 2022 trip to see you all at Apex!
Hey Will! I really hope that the build has gone well on the project car. Tell me a little bit about it.
In the meantime looking forward to seeing you out at the ring and at Apex
Great to see you back 😁
299€ is a steal, just running cost is way beyon.
Happy to see you back on YT.
Good to be back:)
It's been a while, but great to see a new upload again Robert! Unfortunate what happened to the M3 though but luckily it's getting fixed again
Hey this is how it goes!! We are learning along the way
So comparing to my 20 year old clio 2 rs which is now on the ring for over 600 laps, I am quite happy I only had to change the Timingbelt and do oilchanges :D
Hehe you certainly should be happy:-)
Welcome back! I hope you'll have the time and start uploading more often again!
Interesting to hear and see this stuff.
Finally a new video man! Someday before my rent hopefully Ill have the money to drive few laps with just one of these cars
Hey Robert! Long time no see, good to see you back.
Cool video 👍🏻
So glad that you're back making content again!
I most happy to be back here in the comments :-)
Hey Robert welcome back. Missed your videos man.
Welcome back 🤗
Welcome back Robert I missed your videos!!
Welcome back Robert, missed this.
This is gold
Welcome back Robert i recently rewatched you're other video's
Well I have to thank you for that :-) and I apologize for not having anything the last months
Damn robert! Back at it again with the tier 1 content
After missing for most of the year, Mitch's back on youtube woohoo
Hi Robert , Happy see you back !!❤️❤️❤️
Hey there!
@@RobertMitchell ,😘👍
I watched some of the cost per lap breakdowns and it still amazes me how you guys make any money. 15k on a used motor seems like the profit for the year. Really awesome you guys can taxi cars of this caliber.
Finally the car scene of youtube is back.
But fr, it was a great video.
Now then what have we here. A new vid from Robert Mitchell. Hmmm...interesting...
Btw watching it later as a way of registering my protest to you for being absent for so long. We missed you bro. Glad to have you back.
I’m deleting it in 25 minutes 🤣🤣😉
@@RobertMitchell hehehe...
Welcome back! 😍
Really love the stories of reliability , please bring up an episode where you compare these cars which ones are the more and less reliable in these let's call extreme usage conditions.
great to c u bak mate. classic George, never stopped while talking. Robert wats happening with the E30 M3.
And he’s back in the game!!
Been missing these videos!
Welcome back!
thx kinezool
Heeeee! Robert is back!!! - Great! Now: Silence. - I want to enjoy that moment.
Welcome back 💪
Wellcome back!
the Kohut
Based on this video, kinda shows why you went having a rental Yaris GR. Sure things can go off on Toyota just like any other company, but they have shown durability over the years and its probably the only fun car Toyota ever makes nowadays along with the GR86. Also the fact that Lotus uses standard Camry engines for their cars which pretty much were born on tracks, shows how much of reliable engines they create. My problem with the company that apart from these 2 cars they create, all other cars aren't exciting at all to drive.
Great videos as always!! Do you think adding a better watercooler system and oil coolers would help?
Great stuff Robert. Just a quick question: who did the power upgrade? Really impatient for part 2 of the teardown :)
Welcome back! would be god to hear what you have been up to? If family then I don't blame you, no need to explain! If rebuilding with in the flood community would be interesting? This is a good guide for the common person to realise that cars are designed to run on a road at normal speeds and not flat out! And when you do run them flat out things wear out a lot quicker and the life span of items is massively reduced! liked the comment of fitting an LS motor, but which one and then the fuel usage would be a lot more and its still being run flat out so things will continue to fail quicker than normal usage? All valid questions? Plus a fitting an LS would take a fair bit of alteration! What you have done with the M3 is very impressive! Friends have returned and said you must sit in the back lol, I think 35k of full sends is very good on a Engine that has not had so much modified, A director of a private race team once told me "A flat out mile on a race track is the equivalent of 12 road miles" How right he was is a guess? Cheers & Welcome back! 👍
Hey Robert! Nice to see you. Great content, I know you have spoken about the maintenance aspects of a Ring machine before and this is awesome. I do have 1 out of left field question; do you consider kpg in your operating costs. I would assume you do but it doesn’t get mentioned that often and thought it might be an interesting discussion point for the taxi and rental program! Thanks as always
Kpg as in fuel economy? I can calculate that but we just rock it. Don’t worry about it as we won’t buy a car or not due to consumption.
He’s back!
First of all, I'm no expert what so ever. Maybe change oil more frequently and your engine last a little bit longer? Who knows, that's the first thought I had. I don't know... :S
Anyway, good luck with the new engine + transmission and so on. Btw, great video. Love these kind of stuff. Would love to see more ;D
Wouldn't have helped in this case even if they changed the oil every day
Nice!
Thanks!
Robert is back! Yay!
4 months!!!
Great interesting video. I have a feeling that when Porche overall maintenance costs are totaled up it would show their build and engineering quality in comparison to the others BMW for instance. Not putting BMW down as they are a great Ring car.
You very well could be right
The engine looks just like my n52 engine from 2005... not much has changed except a few added bits. Layout is exactly the same... starter, alternator, intake, exhaust, vacuum pump, injectors, spark plugs...
Welcome back Robert
Thats Tom
So uh.... where the heck you been?
Welcome back btw.
Oh look who is back, back again
Roberts back, tell your friends
V interesting vid👌🏻 how much toque is the m3 putting out?
My favourite influencer!
Awesome stuff, keen on seeing the second part!
its all edited up and its ready tomorrow
Very interesting. Will or have you done a compete discussion on maintenance on the Porsche also?
HE'S HERE! HE'S BACK! AND WE LOVE IT!!!
Loukas. Good to see ya!
As an F82 CS owner, I'm curious how a C63S or Alfa Romeo Quad of same gen would fare to the rigors of Apex Taxi usage. F8X makes an easy argument as the most reliable M car made to date. This video is right up my alley. Thank you.
From what I’ve seen the c63!94 Alfa would be more work and not as simple to get parts
nice
💯👍
Misha should go more often.. Robert takes over 😃
Hehe thats how history plays out
After this more on the e92m3 and m2 competition. I’d say you have some work to do 🤣
