  • In this video we make a GSM (cellular) upgrade to one of my previous electronics projects, the Laser Tripwire Alarm (Security System) using an Arduino Nano and SIM800L GSM SIM card module.
    The main proto-board features an existing light-sensitive (LDR) alarm circuit which works in conjunction with a laser diode to detect whether or not an intruder has tripped it. The board features a couple of NE555 timer ICs and a LM358 comparator.

    I've follow your instruction up to the last, the arduino says "avrdude: cannot locate 'flash' and 'boots' memories in description"... May i ask Do you know whats the problem

      There might be an issue with your board or the code is too long for it (has run out of memory). Please try looking of forums for possible answers. Cheers.

    Would I be able to integrate a RPIF module in this? And possible a fingerprint option in the mobile app to turn off the alarm?

      Don't you mean "RFID"? I've never used either of them before so I wouldn't be able to help you on that.

    For the detection is it possible to use the laser sensor by itself to detect when something has tripped it? Can the laser itself tell you when its been tripped? Or is it best to use a photoresistor like you did here?

    • @MaxImagination
      @MaxImagination  Год назад

      With cheap open-loop feedback lasers as the one used in this video, using a photo-resistor in combination is the only way. Cheers.

      Hi there. If you take this diagram - drive.google.com/file/d/1D_uhYmozksXxdWo3acg8Hx82iUtmN3g7/view?usp=sharing
      and combine it with this diagram -
      drive.google.com/file/d/1aGNoy611j2GMb6tWYj79BROibZ3OKPLQ/view?usp=sharing
      you'll have a functioning circuit, as long as you follow the connection points labeled (Ard 1 & Ard 2, etc.)
      Cheers.
