Hearing a full grown adult in the current year having the same reactions my grade school self had about this game is just so _gratifying_ , even with the internet giving him a 'how to' guide.
The how to guides are bananas man. It's like "Hey just jump a little to the left land this frame perfect wall clip and accelerate for 1ms in order to load the right warp pipe congrats that's stage 2"
1:01 I don’t know if that was you or your editors who added that clip from the GDQ of the guy who faked his speedruns only to fail in a live run and be subsequently exposed. But hats off to you for adding that clip in!

As someone who has speedrun single levels in Doom off and on for 20 years, i think you did great for the time investment and game knowledge you had at the time of the challenge. You learned a lot and I'd imagine you have the skill to get that 6 minutes if you kept trying!
