I put my Quadratec Top on with this video... Took a bit longer than expected - but now it looks good and seems to fit great. Glad it was a warm day though... very tight... :)
+Theo Klaase You'll be thankful for that tight fit install in a couple years. Soft tops tend to get a little loose after a while so that starting point really helps. Glad everything went good for you.
was the bow assembly from the factory .. I have 2010 and need to replace the fabric but was told I have to buy a complete kit that the factory bow assembly will not work correctly
I wish there was a video on how to assemble the bow set / frame for the top...i bought the entire kit and the instructions that came from bestop for the bow assembly are a joke.....so frustrated!!
I like to have a hard top but need a soft top in case I'm in the middle of nowhere and it starts raining. Is there a way I could install this and use it and in the winter just leave it installed yet down with the hard top over it? I know that there is something in the Jeep soft top warranty that if you do that you void the warranty. But long story short can I leave this down and put the hardtop over it?
The short answer is no. Technically, yes you could leave the soft top in the Jeep, folded down and install the hard top over it. In fact, that's how Jeep delivers Wranglers to the dealership when they come with the "dual top group". However, we don't recommend doing that. Once the top has been "used", meaning it's been folded up and down on the Wrangler, it becomes very difficult, if not impossible to fold it as tightly and compact as it would need to be for the hard top to be installed over it. You would also have to disconnect the soft top support bows from the sport bar in the Wrangler, and the end of the bows could potentially cause a danger to passengers in your Jeep without them being securely attached to the soft top support brackets.
It is a stock style replacement, so if you have a damaged or worn out sift top but wanted to keep the factory look, and factory hardware, this is the top you would want.
