This was the most insane game to go to. I’ve never seen the bounce house more alive and the stadium was under 3/4 full due to the rain. So proud to be a knight

Injuries and learning curve! UCF had to learn how to keep scoring and forcing 3 and out for opposition. The only game UCF had to chance was KU. All other games they had the lead in the 4th! This season is all about making a bowl game now. Getting a Tech win is all that matters right now!

Pretty much as textbook 'letdown game' as you can get. They were probably SOOO focused on oklahoma given it was the final running of such a heated rivalry it meant something even more than the game that means the most to them anyway, then came out flat and clearly gassed/emotionally drained

As a Oklahoma State fan, this is a complete embarrassment! We don’t deserve to go to the Big 12 Championship for playing like that! Because for most teams that have got beaten really bad like 45 to 3 or a blowout! Most teams like that don’t get in to conference championship games!
Smartest comment I've seen. They can beat Oklahoma, but get destroyed by a 4-5 team that isn't going anywhere this year. I'm not even sure what conference they are in. When I think of Florida, I think of The Florida Gators, The Florida Seminoles, and the Miami Hurricanes. Not Central State Florida. A high school team in Alaska would of beaten these chumps Saturday - by at least, 2 TD's. OSU had their heads up their a**, and played like they did not want to play that day.

Big 12 this year has been unconventional. No I am not saying the Big 12 championship should always be OU vs TX. But maybe it's the parity through Portal Transfers, coaching, NIL, etc.

They always do. I’m a realistic cowboys fan, and even when they’re good, they’re never GOOD. They choke or just flat out don’t show up several games a season. Who cares if they have good players, they still manage to do it all the time, plus their defense is usually not all that great.

As a fan and alum of the University of Oklahoma, that game showed me that there's much work needed before entering SEC. But you know as well as I do that OSU's role in Bedlam has always been the "spoiler", that's it. And if OU can't get the job done then we are undeserving.

OSU is such a confounding team. They beat good teams like Oklahoma and Kansas, but get absolutely demolished by UCF and even South Alabama. Make it make sense.

If the ref in bedlam called that PI, osu would have lost. Not saying OU didn't make mistakes and shouldn't have been in that position. But in high stake rivals games like that it can go either way and missed calls can completely decide a game. Osu got lucky. Refs even came out and said they apologize for missing the call. But too late now. LOL Osu isn't as good as they seem.
UCF shouldve beat OU as well go watch that game. Refs won it for OU giving them a free attempt at a field goal. We shouldve won that game by 2 points ill stand on that.

(1) If UCF's school colors/typical uniforms are black & gold, why are they wearing Carolina blue in this game?
(2) What does the commentator mean by the reference to a "space uniform?"
(3) Why do the fans chant "boom" whenever there is a UCF PAT -- does it derive from the kicker's surname of "Boomer," or is there some other association?
(4) What are people talking about when they refer to the stadium as the "Bounce House?" Thx.
1 & 2 When UCF was first founded as Florida Technological University it was primarily an engineering school, which supplied engineers to NASA. Many of NASA's engineers come from UCF. Every year for the past 7 years we put on a "Space Game" to honor UCF connection to the space program. We always make a special uniform for the space game.
3. Yes we chant Boom because of his name Boomer and he's been an awesome kicker for us.
4. The Bounce House earned it's name because the stadium was first built, students started jumping on the bleachers, shaking the whole stadium like a bouncy castle. It's amazing to be there when the bouncing starts.
1. Every year, UCF has a "space game" commemorating UCF's ties to NASA. They have a unique uniform every year.
2. In the '60s, FTU (Florida Technological University), UCF's former name, was created to train workers for NASA, and still have a lot of UCF grads that go to work for NASA, which is just 50 minutes away.
3. Correct. That is because UCF's kicker is named "Boomer." UCF also has a history of doing this. About a decade ago, they had a player named "Douzable" (who played in the NFL for the Jets), and they would say "dooooze" every time he made a tackle/sack.
4. When the stadium was built, it was made (and still is) mainly of metal, and when the crowd gets excited and jumps around, the whole stadium shakes. Its first sponsor of the stadium was also "Brighthouse Networks," named after a local media company. So, they called it the "Bounce-house," combining the sponsor name with the fact that it bounced. Interestingly, it was initially a negative term used by rivals (mostly USF fans) to make fun of UCF's stadium, but it has turned positive. You can find footage of the stadium bouncing when the crowd jumps up and down.

1. I wonder why all the other universities who are also strong in engineering and who also have a rich connection with NASA and the space program (one of which, ironically, is yet another "black & gold" wearing school -- Purdue U) don't themselves feature a special game/uniform to honor that tradition? (I don't expect you to account for this)
2. Why is sky/powder/Carolina blue the selected/feature uniform color for the "space tribute" game, and is that ALWAYS the case, or is it just some color combination OTHER THAN the UCF black & gold, and it varies from year to year? Thx. @@andread1110
@@wingedbuffalo4670 The space unis are different every year. In 21 it was made to resemble to space shuttle Discovery. As someone else above mentioned, this year we went with Canaveral Blue as the launchpad at Kennedy Space Center is in Cape Canaveral.
I definitely can't speak to why other schools don't honor their connection with NASA but at UCF we're very proud of it. The 50 yrd line at our stadium lines up perfectly with the launchpad at Kennedy so we get spectacular views of rocket launches from the stadium.
How did this OSU team that beat KU and OU get waxed by UCF?
