Best over-all version of "Yours is an Empty Hope" is from this concert. Many other great performances.

Maybe because of the new album, written to fit Floor as a singer, or because of bringing up an old song that didn't fit Anette (Stargazers), or because I sense Floor has grown more into the role of Nightwish lead singer at that moment in time.

Hello Ladies.
Piano man is "now" the sole composer of music and lyrics in the band since Marko left in 2021 and his name is Tuomas (two-ōmäs).
Speaking from experience, I went to my first Nightwish concert on May 08, 2022 in NYC and let me tell you, the same energy they put out here is the same in a small venue but it does depend on crowd reaction.
Sleeping before the concert??
Yeah, that's what I thought, but I was just so excited about it being that day, all I did was lay on the bed, stare at that ceiling, and count the hours till it was time to leave the hotel room.
I did pick one close enough to the venue (Terminal 5) that I was able to just walk there in only 20 minutes give or take a few.
Only bad part about it was that it was on a Sunday so there was barely anything open to go eat.
Other than that, it was an exciting adventure and memory I will cherish as long as I live.
Tuomas did say they won't be playing any shows this year.
This may have to do with multiple things....
A highly needed break for them and especially for Floor since she just had her 2nd baby girl, Lucy. And their announcement of the end of their 20 year contract with Nuclear Blast Records.
However, I am very happy to tell you that Tuomas also mentioned to us about their new MULTI ALBUM DEAL with Nuclear Blast, hinting of many, many years to come with Nightwish, and more awesome music and epic concerts.
So subscribe to Floor and Nightwish, and keep an eye out for any announcements to their future plans.

Even when Marko was in the band most Songs are written by Tuomas. Marko helped in some of them.

Here's to hoping the long layoff from touring will see Marko back in the fold when they return to the road. Marko's voice with Floor is just awesome.

But one thing I've learned from Tuomas is that he's loyal to his people, meaning once you're in, you're IT!
So like drummer Jukka, I know he made one appearance after retirement, but I feel Marko left with a bitter taste in his mouth.
I don't know if he was looking for "validation" within or from Nightwish, but now he and Tarja seem to be the talk of the town and have been performing together quite a bit.
Anyway, my point is...
Like Tarja, I don't think Marko is willing to join Nightwish onstage again.
Whatever his reasons, I don't believe it has to do with validation or depression. I believe the reasons are not as public as what they put in that resignation letter, but that's just me. 😊❤️🤘🤘

Sadly Nightwish never got even the least bit popular here in the USA, hell I'm 65 and had never even heard of them until three years ago....one rabbit hole I am so glad I went down. The band is top notch, and Floor is beyond amazing.
Wishmaster got radio play when it came out but it got frieght trained by Nu-Metal.

this song is inspired from Stephen Kings book wolves of calla. they will release the new album this year but they said they will not tour for the next one or two years sadly but Floor will continue to do solo shows. i will see her live in netherlands 1st of june🥰

@@havtor007 everything except Annette’s voice is great on the original (Dark Passion Play album). I specially like that Emppu’s sound is more prominent in the earlier recordings

Floor is so enchanting on stage. If she would ask during a concert "well, we have to go to battle. Sign in - oh and you propably will die" . I would have no doubts and sign in. I'm sold...
Never try to windmill when you have to go. This leads to accidental discharge. It is so much fun watching your 3 beautiful ladies rockin out to this band. Even though you are not all metalheads you definitely appreciate and enjoy the artistry of this amazing band. As well as the feminine power and beauty of the queen of symphonic metal. I am also exhausted watching you 3! Remember, bend forward from the waist, put you hands on your hips, and go for it!
New record coming out in fall 2024. Probably no tour until late 2025 or early 26. I am waiting. Love it ladies.

Speaking of the energy at their shows... I got to see Nighwish on their Decades tour, in 2018. The Fitbit watch I was wearing at the time mistakenly thought I went on a half hour bicycle ride after I got there. I really must have been pumping my legs a lot.

Excellent choice for a reaction to Nightwish. These artists are at the top of their respective fields. Tuomas and Floor are generational talents. You will be hard pressed to find any musical talent on par with these two special people. Doesn't matter if you like this type of music or not. And it doesn't matter if have other favorites---there's no limit on your selection of personal favorites. Tuomas and Floor are the perfect combination of magic powders. To top it all off, Floor is one sexy woman.

The song asks you that if you knew you were going to die in 7 days, would you have the courage to live your life fully. This concert was in London just 30 miles from where I live, but unfortunately I didn't get to go. If you get the chance to go to one of their concerts I strongly urge you to do so.

Enjoyed your reaction! Song's title is inspired by the Stephen King novel The Wolves of Calla although the lyrics themselves are not related to the book. For me the meaning of the song is about going out and living your life to the fullest because the wolves, i.e. death, are only 7 days behind. Again we need to live our lives as if death is nipping at our heels since we never know when it will come for us. I love Floor's epic windmilling here. Without question her longest windmill and then that wolf howl face near the end? So good. Floor has two tattoos behind her ears, a wolf on one side and a dog on the other. They represent the two side of her. The Wolf represents the wild part of her that loves touring and performing on stage for her fans. The dog represents her domestic side that loves being at home with her family and caring for her horses and other animals. Saw them live in 2022 in Boston and the energy from the crowd and the band is amazing despite the crowds being much smaller then in Europe. Because of the smaller audience (2000 instead of 10,000) they don't have the huge stage production (no pyro, no video wall) but still the best concert of my 60 year life. Never have I left a concert so uplifted and inspired to go live my best life.

Ladies I have another rabbit hole that you can get into. I've seen you've reacted to nightwish which actually night wish has 2 other symphonic metal bands sister bands and they are epica and wintersun. I have some suggestions for my favorite of the three wintersun. First start off with wintersun sons of winter and stars 1.5 lyric video. Then next is wintersun time live rehearsal video at Sonic pump studios in Helsinki Finland. After that is wintersun land of snow and sorrow live rehearsal video. They will not tour the upcoming album - as stated last year. The new album is due this year. It's finished with the recording phase. The mastering is on the way. Still no release date announced. I would guess we will see Nightwish on tour in 2025 at the earlieast.

You have 7 days to "live" before the wolfes are catching up with you. Do not vaste a single day of yor life. Covards and heroes is this where they do part. My mom is 91 and blind, she do not want to learn anything new. She is basically waiting for the wolfs and she is fine with that. But read a new book, listen to new music, learn something new and you will keep the wolves away.

It's about "Wolves of the Calla" which is the 5th volume of Stephen King's Dark Tower series.
