So here are some details I wanted to share with you about the VRETSTORP couch from IKEA.
All the parts came in four boxes. Three larger boxes and one smaller box which contained the couch cover.
We ordered the couch from the IKEA website and had it delivered. It cost us $100 dollars to have it delivered which we didn't think was too bad. The price varies depending on your location. Our delivery price was a little higher than average because we live in the country.
They have two beige colors that the cover comes in. We went with the darker beige color being that we have four kids and a dog 😅. The name of the color is "Totebo Light Beige".
You are able to completely remove the couch cover and wash it without taking the couch apart! Very kid and pet friendly 😉

Width: 96 1/8 "
Depth: 37 3/4 "
Height: 35 7/8 "
Seat depth: 20 1/2 "
Seat height: 18 1/8 "
Bed width: 55 1/8 "
Bed length: 78 3/4 "
It took Luke maybe an hour to assemble and it was fairly simple.
The couch opens up into a queen size bed and it's firm and comfortable. It's great for when we have guests sleep over!

How did you get the slip covers over the arms? That's the most difficult part. What's the trick?
I just did mine , is not that bad you just have to pull down really hard . I assemble the couch myself
Yes, I put on one side slightly then I put on the other side and then go back and forth pulling it down slowly on each side. This seems to be the easiest way. I hope that makes sense! ☺️

this video lacks exactly the most difficult part... assembling the mattress part. The Ikea instructions are not clear either...
Sorry you’re having a hard time. Maybe you can call IKEA if you still need assistance with the assembly. My husband never mentioned that the mattress was difficult to assemble. I didn’t assemble myself so I really don’t know. Sorry I can’t be more help.
