There's a few comments on here asking for more information about your lives. A blog like yours inevitably reveals personal stuff, plus you folks have been very honest about things on occasion, but we don't have a right to know things you want private. Hope you and yours are well.
please be very careful sleeping in your car like this, particularly if your legs are cramped up in one position overnight like this. Living in my van last year (and i could stretch out while sleeping) i gave myself DVT's in my legs which went up to my lungs and nearly killed me all due to living in a small space and reducing how much i moved. Ive researched the issue since and one of the biggest risks for DVT's is sleeping in cars or cramped conditions in a vehicle. If you ever get a stabbing pain in your calf please seek medical assistance immediately!
@@sprout0784 deep vein thrombosis is more common than you would think..blood clots that form in the legs can move to the lungs and the result may be a pulmonary embolism..a blockage caused by the clot that can be fatal if not treated immediately. As the previous poster mentioned..being in a confined space with limited movement is risky. Being on a long haul flight is also a risk but can be minimised by taking a short walk up and down the aeroplane or minimum doing leg and body exercizes. Years ago the taking of the contraceptive pill added to the risk ..though not sure if the same is true today. Do however take proper medical advice before any of these situations. Any pain, especially if severe in the legs or chest , seek help.
This girl's attitude is just lovable. I like all of your videos, and this one now goes in my top 10 favorite videos. 'Lost in Transit' is just such a unique and genuine travel vlog. Thank you both for being on RUclips.
I spent 2 weeks round Scotland in my Yaris - made a bed frame, memory foam mattress, a storage unit - it was genuinely comfy and made me realise how doable it is.
I can’t sleep alone in my own house with locks and bolts never mind alone in a car in the middle of nowhere 😅 my anxiety for you! Love your energy and you inspire me ❤ Kim from KJ Hauntings 👻
Hi, Great to see you back, Pat looks awesome. Hope that Tom is well. I think you both made the correct decision about Ireland. West Cork is beautiful but a winter in a cabin could be something of a challenge. Look forward to your future adventures.
love the lil car - not sure if at my old age my bones would cope with that for sleeping mind! ... hope you and Tom are doing well, really hope this is just a setback and we'll be back watching you travel to places we never knew existed again - miss you both, good luck in whatever you decide to do xxxx

Soooooo good to see you back🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 loving “Pat” and looking forward to many more adventures on the road 🎉🎉🎉🎉thank you for the friendship you both have built with us all through your vlogs taking us through the ups and downs of life and allowing us to be a part of it heres to many more!
My husband and I have been missing you and Tom on Sundays ❤️ looks like big changes…life happens. Hope to see you both soon 💕 By the way…It’s amazing what you’re done with Pat! The Chickmobile! 😁💖
Good to see you back Iz and looking well and hope Tom is doing ok too. That was a really cool vid. There's something about lying in a car or tent and listening to the heavy rain that is very therapeutic. Dig little Pat too 😊
Hi Izzy. 100% positive we have just bumped into Tom at Loch Watten. Today at 5pm We are in a white camper van that stopped next to him in the layby . Noticed the tattoos as he was leaving, he clocked onto our van cctv and graphics of a compass at the rear. The tattoos one on left arm and the star on his right wrist. Did not speak to him as he was busy txting and just enjoying nature. Sometimes better to leave in peace than to bother him to ask to shake his hand. Please say hi and if it was him tell him to have a safe journey in Caithness. Joe and Michelle
Love your wee car, she's cute. I've slept in our car whenever my airbed has gone down during the night and it's pretty comfy. At least for a night or two. Last camping trip I woke up middle of the night and the rain was pelting down on our tent making me want to pee. Even though there were toilets on the campsite I couldn't face getting soaked so I looked around for something suitable with a lid. You'd be surprised how waterproof a tube of Pringles is. I had to eat the remaining crisps first , so that was a bonus, lol.
I went up to Scotland back in march and slept in my BMW 1 series :) perfectly easy to make a bed if you put the front passenger seat down, lots of bedding & then randomly slept in streets around Scotland at night.
I love camping in my car. Even though I have a caravan for campsite use, I think I prefer the simplicity of car camping. 😊 I have made foil window covers, but I have put matt black sticky film on the outside of them to make them less obvious.
I cant remember the place (and I wouldnt mention it here anyway!) but I am sure your camping spot is somewhere I visited as a kid (probably about 50 years ago !!!) The shots of walking down the path and over the bridge to the beach suddely gave me a rush of de ja vue. Lovelly place for an evening meal.
6 July 2023: Love your attitude to life and sharing your time with us. You are inspiring both young and seasoned (try to avoid the typical word of old!). Your video is incredible especially when you went under the water with the shades on! Be very safe sleeping out alone or even with Tom. You are such a young person with so much experience and views of life overall. You look so much like my granddaughter and as zany too. She loves to just sing out and dance. Stay well and safe.
I bring a large popup shower tent when car camping - I'm in Ireland- wind and rain - and with the pop up tent up strapped to the car... It's just big enough to fit my chair and my little desk to cook on and sit in.. as well as wash, dress and toilet in! It's a really affordable option for anyone who can't spend any money on camping gear. I prefer it to a tent because it's a stand up space.
Always good to get my monthly dose of hyper-cheerfulness, Izzy. We all hope Tom takes you back. Just joking...seriously, it's got to be hard stuck in a confined space with someone for years on end, no matter how much you love each other. Some of the enduring relationships I see around me are those of couples who share 90% of the same interests but allow each other the space to be alone or with different interests for the remaining 10%. Some take a couple of weeks or even months away from each other every year, and rather than making the bonds weaker it fire-proofs them. Obviously there could be cases where a chap had a secret life in drag, but I'm not suggesting that of Tom. Not for a moment. I understand why you pulled back from the Ireland deal. The moment you start renovating and building and planting, life on the road would be effectively over for you: maybe after 5 years you could manage a weekend away. It's a wonderful idea but maybe in 5 or 10 years it'll make more sense. I hope you get to Sri Lanka or even India itself next, because your stuff from Nepal was sensational and I feel - having been to India over 20 times - that there's a rich vein to explore for you, pretty cheaply still. With your good attitude and travel smarts you could spend 6 months in India very profitably. Sure it's easier to go to Thailand but India I think would be kinder to you. I always felt a feminine deity looked after those with good hearts in India, wherever they were from. The big clue I'll give you is that everyone else always goes to the same places...the Taj Mahal in Agra, floating palace in Udaipur, Hampi, Goa, etc. Endless numbers of vloggers beat the same tired paths. Few visit the tattooed hill tribes of Nagaland, or the rainiest place in the world, Meghalaya (39 feet per year), or the Temple of Rats in Bikaner. There used to be a Hospital for Insects in Ahmedabad but I havent seen reference to it for decades. I'll shut up now.
True say , a van conversion can be very expensive there is no limitations really there will always be something else that you want to add to your build
Haha, nice, I had a similar job (was called "housemen" in my Hotel in NZ). Stocking up linen all over the Hotel. I also liked the job, always felt quite "independent" being able to walk around throughout the whole building, providing the housekeepers with fresh linen and having a radio with me in case someone needs something special. Getting nostalgic about this time of my life now :)
Hello Iz, Absolutely cool idea of yours with camping in the car and then in such a cool car...the Clio is definitely a cult car! In my younger years I did something similarly crazy, only for me it was a Renault twingo 1/Ph.2 with a folding roof, haha! I wish you always good and entertaining experiences and journeys with your Renault Clio 2 alias Pat! 😊✌🏕🚗 Many Greetings from Graz surroundings, Styria, Austria 🇦🇹, Christoph 😎
You go Izzy, nice for sure to have alone time, currently organising a camping trip, nature is very good to nurture your heart soul and mind. Love Pat, she is a sweetheart. Glad ye thought the Irish move through its good to think with a level head.
My first car was a Renault Clio with a sunroof and I absolutely loved it, was such a well behaved car, did many miles in it, was sad to sell her. Sorry to hear about the Ireland move not going ahead, wise decision though. One thing you could look into is a tent box I’m sure you know what it is, goes on the roof, you just need some rails on top. Looking forward to more videos as always a big hello from Launceston 😁
I always thought an estate would be great for car camping. Something with a long boot and seats that folds down completely flat. It could be as spacious as a proper bed and more storage space as well.
Great to see you back and enjoying yourself. I would blacken out car registration on vlog for safety reasons. You could rent out the Bambai for 3-6 months and that would have helped to pay for the rent in the place in Cork and use Pat to get around. Hope to see you and Tom on your adventures again . Take care.
What a enjoyable episode Izzy , I love your solo adventures, Pat was a great buy, definitely a bargain, never seen anyone swim with sunglasses on, amazing, just thought of something, what if yourself and Keely done a 2 day duo adventure and Tom & Philly done same, would be a laugh, maybe Tom would choke Philly if he could not find the off button 🤣 👍
Last time we saw Tom was when there was a mixup with the paperwork at the border. Tom was driving 30 hours to get back to Cornwall. These two cuties may have had disagreements about settling in Ireland or what they wanted to do next, or maybe like the rest of us, just getting ratty with someone we’ve been cramped up with in a van for too long. With luck, a break from travelling, being back amongst their friends and family etc may make them both realize what they really want to do with their future. When you’re presented with soooo many choices, they can’t possibly be expected to agree on everything. With luck, quietening down with the pressure off may help these two make the best choice for them individually. Selfishly, like most of their followers/RUclipsrs, I hope they stay together and whether they travel or stay in Cornwall, I’m sure they can keep us entertained with their antics at home or away. Just decide what’s right for you and be happy. xx
Your Clio may have the same solution as my Honda. If the rear seat can be lifted up (seat against the backrest), the driver and passenger seats should be able to fold almost flat. In sequence. Raise the rear seat. Move the front seats as far forward as possible. Tilt the driver and passenger seat backrests as far back as possible. Slide the seats back, tucking the headrest section under the raised rear seat. You may need to pull out the headrests and push the seats further back so you can lie flat and stretch out your legs
Lovely to see you back Izzy looking well and rested. Love Pat 🚙...too. hope Tom ok too. I too have a tiny stealth van for me and my dog 🐕 🐾.. we've been enjoying getting away and out exploring. Love the tee shirt too.😊 Ordering now!!😅❤
Great to see you again and looking amazing. You really are like a breath of fresh air. Loving your new friend Pat. Sorry the Ireland house didn't work out but who knows maybe sometime in the future. X
Nice to see you back and wow how brilliant - takes me back, my friend had a Clio when we were at college we used to go out in. 🚙 Pleased you’re liking your new job. Enjoy 🙌 All the best, David & Rachel 👍
So gutted you aren’t going to be moving here! I was so looking forward to you trying to reintroduce the Atlantic Rainforest like Eoghan Dalton in Beara peninsula or start a Cork outpost of The Bee Sanctuary!
wow izzy is a beauty hope tom is ok as you never mentioned him much hope you guys are doing good its nice to go home take the feet of the pedal n get your bairings again
The car actually isn't in bad condition considering the price looks like maybe the lacker (protective layer) has peeled on they areas as they are more prone to be weather beating 😊
Brilliant! What a cool idea and Pat is just the coolest "adventure" car ever! I personally think that chucking a good size tent, sleeping bags etc in the back of the car would be a better option space and comfort wise although personal security would be an issue solo camping but if you have Tom with you then no probs.....though he might die of shame being seen in such a pink girly car! Lol Anyway, keep having fun in pat and look forward to seeing more of your adventures in her! 😎😎😎👍
Amazingly talented lyricist & song writer🙌 “Wrong gear” should be an all time classic👌 What a very beautiful young woman you are & such a wonderful video.
Love it when you were camping out in your Clio next time you do it take the Hairdres out put the seats right forward them to the seats right back have fun. 😊
Getting out camping- however or whatever you use- has gotta be good... The good thing about going solo is the peace- and you can make all the decisions lol...
Hey Izzy, WELCOME BACK, Been Missing Your 'Zest for Life' Persona and Pat is SO adorably You lol. Looking forward to Your Future Adventures. Stay Safe Out There ☺️
Im doin the same thing in my little vivaro van round the wild Atlantic way next week can’t wait.. airbed in the back, sleeping bag and some fairy lights and doin the cooking from my little camp stove aswell. Will send you guys a little insta of the adventure
Hi there, nice to see you. I think some time at home and a job will be good for you. Fulfil that sense of community you felt missing. Why don't you give the SW coast path another go in the better weather. Its really pleasant at this time of year. Keep well Both.
Nice! Well if you can do it in that little lady it encourages me to give it a go in my Skoda Superb Elegance /estate. I saved the wooden slatted cushion support from our old settee and I think it might just fit for level-ish bed. 🙂
Pat shows the patina you get by the seaside, needs a bit of a rub down and fresh clear coat. Iz, the queen of kitch 😂 can't beat a bit of car camping at this time of year, it's scorchio all through the night. Perfect for a bivvy bag adventure on the moor next time.
Absolutely Fantastic to see you back posting plus selling your Merch yeeeeeaaaaaahhhhhh Cool I'll be havin some of that, I hope Tom is doing great we Love you both the best couple on YT. Take it easy stay safe and good luck.
You can actually get a tape to aux adapter if you wanted to listen to your own music. If you only have Bluetooth on your phone you can add an aux to Bluetooth adapter to the tape to aux
How many times can you say wrong gear in a video 😂 Pat looks great and I love that you've decked her out in your style, even included the cliche furry dice 😎 Look forward to seeing a few more solo adventures along with your regular adventures with Tom 😁
Great video Izzy! 😊 Oh I REALLY like Pat!!! We used to have an old Clio called Ferny because, that's right, moss grew in every crevice of the bodywork! That was a lovely beach 😊 The fairy-lights were a nice touch 👌 Swimming underwater with shades on is goddess-level cool 😎... and the sand-flies in the coffee for extra flavour! (call yourself a vegetarian?! 😂)
My wife’s second car was this car, she is from Cornwall, we live in Cornwall. I wonder what the chances are that this is her old car. I saw the reg it’s not hers but it was exactly like it.
Hi Lost in Transit! So great to have the notification again of a new video.😊 I have a basic van now, trafic, with a bed and boxes but last summer i travelled around the Scottish islands in my i10 and loved it! I had a pop up tent but due to the rain i mostly slept in the car. (Great to have a s a changing rokm though and storage.) 😂 i love a little car, so Pat is perfect. Do you find it different and difficult videoing alone? I forget to video! Great footage, editing and end result. ⭐️🦄🌈🗝🥰
Well done for getting something for yourself, have you tried removing the front head rest and pushing the passenger seat forward to see how far the backrest will go down. Sadly there is one issue the large fluffy dice the main reason you dont see them that often is anything other than the rear view mirror in the wiper blade arc is not allowed and depending on who does your M,O,T they will either give you an advisory notice or fail the vehicle due to the size obstruct your vision also they are distracting. They also went out of fashion when i was your age in the stone age
Nice video, you made it very entertaining with this simple premise ;) I had done this in Norway for about a week, in a bigger but yet hatchback type car. Rear seats down, sleeping in the back/trunk. Not too bad if you're under 6 feet, just need to prepare well for it if you're planning on doing it for a longer time as I had done. Cheers!
Enjoyed seeing your new car hope all is well with Tom and that you are planning a new trip in the van after a well deserved break. Be happy 😊in whatever you decide
If you are putting down a front seat to sleep.. put down the passenger seat so that in case of emergency you need to hop in the front and drive away, the driver seat and area is free.
👏👏👏Good to see you back. Next week will we get an update from Tom? I'm hoping to do similar in my car later this year up here in Scotland. Take care both
We know where you stealth camped, Izzy! The Joke is between us. Did you make sure you closed all the gates? It's a Renault, so it has to be va-va-voom!
Seems like the potential purchase of the Ireland home brought things into sharp focus....and its pretty clear that you've now parted ways .....wish you both well moving on in your lives
We haven’t parted ways, just needed some space from RUclips and try to work out what we wanted to do. We have a new series planned, hopefully weekly videos from this weekend

Just decide what’s right for you and be happy. xx
Thanks for the vlog Izzy, hope you guys are both doing OK. The Almost Ireland adventure wasn't the right fit, this time. Plenty more ahead for sure.
I absolutely love your tiny space. I’m in a Honda Civic.
Nice to see you back and wow how brilliant - takes me back, my friend had a Clio when we were at college we used to go out in. 🚙
Pleased you’re liking your new job.
Enjoy 🙌
All the best, David & Rachel 👍
So gutted you aren’t going to be moving here! I was so looking forward to you trying to reintroduce the Atlantic Rainforest like Eoghan Dalton in Beara peninsula or start a Cork outpost of The Bee Sanctuary!
We love Pat! Great to see you back! Always enjoy your adventures.
we were supposed to go for a drink this week. but you did not call us. naughty Issie. love uncle matt and pete
Great to see you’re still having adventures despite the change in circumstances 😊
Nice one!
I put a cool box in the footwell to stretch out. I'd go mad without my car. Have fun👍
wow izzy is a beauty hope tom is ok as you never mentioned him much hope you guys are doing good its nice to go home take the feet of the pedal n get your bairings again
Hope you are both well and okay glad you are back xx
Congratulations on your cute new car Pat and lovely to see u out exploring again
The car actually isn't in bad condition considering the price looks like maybe the lacker (protective layer) has peeled on they areas as they are more prone to be weather beating 😊
I love your spirit and bubling mood. Keep safe and stealthy.
The good thing about going solo is the peace- and you can make all the decisions lol...
great to see you back! please both keep vlogging, dose not matter what!!
Kuddos. Glad you are comfortable getting out in nature on your own.
Hi there, nice to see you. I think some time at home and a job will be good for you. Fulfil that sense of community you felt missing. Why don't you give the SW coast path another go in the better weather. Its really pleasant at this time of year. Keep well Both.
Hi guys. As we said when you had a time out, we’re still here. All the best to you both and look forward to your next adventure.
The British summer returns with its usual severity!
Nice! Well if you can do it in that little lady it encourages me to give it a go in my Skoda Superb Elegance /estate. I saved the wooden slatted cushion support from our old settee and I think it might just fit for level-ish bed. 🙂
Missed ye for the last couple of weeks grand to have ye back enjoy your little space 👍🏻🇮🇪☘️
Enjoy your new (to you) car. You’re going to need bigger fuzzy dice to distract from that paint job, though. 😂
How many times can you say wrong gear in a video 😂 Pat looks great and I love that you've decked her out in your style, even included the cliche furry dice 😎 Look forward to seeing a few more solo adventures along with your regular adventures with Tom 😁
Well done Izzy, all you need now is to get an awning for Pat !
Great video Izzy! 😊
Oh I REALLY like Pat!!! We used to have an old Clio called Ferny because, that's right, moss grew in every crevice of the bodywork!
That was a lovely beach 😊
The fairy-lights were a nice touch 👌
Swimming underwater with shades on is goddess-level cool 😎... and the sand-flies in the coffee for extra flavour! (call yourself a vegetarian?! 😂)
Well done Izzy, what a gal! Missed you guys.
That steering wheel cover is R E E E D I C K U L O U S, I absolutely love it, soooo you lz Hope you and Tom are both good and enjoying life 👍
My wife’s second car was this car, she is from Cornwall, we live in Cornwall. I wonder what the chances are that this is her old car. I saw the reg it’s not hers but it was exactly like it.
It's not stealth when your window covers scream " someone's in here! "
Love the caption of sleep in the car
Hi Lost in Transit! So great to have the notification again of a new video.😊 I have a basic van now, trafic, with a bed and boxes but last summer i travelled around the Scottish islands in my i10 and loved it! I had a pop up tent but due to the rain i mostly slept in the car. (Great to have a s a changing rokm though and storage.) 😂 i love a little car, so Pat is perfect. Do you find it different and difficult videoing alone? I forget to video! Great footage, editing and end result. ⭐️🦄🌈🗝🥰
Welcome back 👋 best of luck with Pat 🚙 happy motoring 💨. Sending ye good wishes from here in Ireland 🇮🇪 take care 👍
This was really nice to see 😊 I’ve often thought about doing the car camping thing some day 🚙
Nice video, you made it very entertaining with this simple premise ;)
I had done this in Norway for about a week, in a bigger but yet hatchback type car. Rear seats down, sleeping in the back/trunk. Not too bad if you're under 6 feet, just need to prepare well for it if you're planning on doing it for a longer time as I had done.
Cheers!
Enjoyed seeing your new car hope all is well with
Tom and that you are planning a new trip in the van after a well deserved break. Be happy 😊in whatever you decide
So glad to see you back. What an amazing little advantage brilliant !
If you are putting down a front seat to sleep.. put down the passenger seat so that in case of emergency you need to hop in the front and drive away, the driver seat and area is free.
You look radiant in the morning! Thanks for this content. Hope you enjoyed Cornwall. :)
May the long time sunshine
All Love surround you
And the pure light within you
Guide you all the way on
I enjoy camping in small cars or boats listening to the rain.
Gonna try that myself Izzy. looking amazing 💥
Positive video as ever! Loving Pat! Hoping something even better than Ireland works out for you
Brilliant , your back and ok. Had to comment even before the end of the video. Just glad that you are back and well. Right back to the video. 🙂
Welcome back great vid🥰💚💙💜
