- THE SUNDANCE CENTRAL RAILROAD - The Sundance was formed in January 2004 with the goal to create a more detailed and uniformly scened, large-scale traveling layout.
The modular was built by a group of seven model train enthusiasts. This diverse group is made up of people who have a passion of early narrow gauge steam locomotives to modern day standard gauge diesels.
The purpose for forming this modular group was to provide the public a realistic look at model railroading in a large-scale format. The modules are highly detailed from the scratch built supporting structures and buildings down to the surrounding scenery. The trains and rolling stock that will be running on these modules will also be highly detailed and weathered.

I’ve always wondered what it was like to be born back in these times. I was born in the very early 2000s. I still dream about going back in time and seeing all the beautiful places and watching all the beautiful trains go past like the southern crescent and the El captain.
Wow there is something unexplainable with fascination of trains right from a young age and still at 55.

I agree with you. Had a layout once when I was 18. Had it packed up for years. Now at 35, dug them up from the past, got a new layout in the process of being complete. Feel like a kid in a candy store again. I believe it's the surreal environments you can create, even the smallest details make the loudest appearances.
This makes me wanna buy an old warehouse and build a huge rail set

Hi, I wonder where could I get those o gauge 2 rail USA loco models? most US trains in o gauge are 3-rails.
Jim ( one of the creators ) let me switch the cars around for about 2 hours when they had an open house one day.

It looks good but it’s way too small to be the best layout
This is a very beautiful layout, but I wish it was being operated by somebody who was used to controlling the locomotive. It really breaks the realism to see it flying around, suddenly stopping and shooting off again.
