Add another "Wow!!!" I used to live "on" Donner Lake in the 1970's. . .24 ft of windows across the front of my house. . .An unobstructed view (West to East) of the railroad, from Donner Summit (7,000 ft) descending to Donner State park (5,500 ft). . .half a dozen tunnels; and, "regular" trains every day. . .Sitting in an antique dentist's chair with a beer. . .I watched real trains in real-time. . .And, it never grew old! And, these model-guys have truly captured reality! Thanks for the Wow-memories!
After seeing this, I went there! It's just north of Tampa, Fl. The detail of the scenery and people is what's amazing, and the "weathering" of buildings and scenes is really incredible. For instance, there's a guy welding, and there must be a tiny LED because it flickers just like a welder. You can look into windows and see people working in offices or factories. There's even a artist on a third floor balcony painting a nude model! One area has a lightning flash followed by a pretty realistic tree on fire, done with lights. If there's a dead pine tree, the buildings near it have pine needles on the roof! There's always more to discover. They're open to the public on the third Saturday of the month, except for June, July, and August.
Loved the buildings, barrels I have to stop the train to study them!! I wonder if the folks there know it?? love the model A's T's C Cab's! tractors and heavy graders! like the animals!! What as Ride!!! Really enjoyed it all, and what's even better...I see you have many more!!!! Going to"Live" here!!!
That is a lovely video . Everything is done with such a precision and details, from the coaches, bridges, people, animals, nature and the surrounding. The colors are delightful! Just amazing to watch!
That’s quite unbelievable! The attention to detail, the scenery, colours, everything is beautiful. I commend the builder(s) of this layout 👍🏽 absolutely perfect 👌 must have taken a lot of time and effort to design and put this masterpiece together! Nice one ☝️
This is the Silverton Central by Jon Addison. It is Sn3 which means S scale, narrow gauge. It is located along with the Sundance Central at the Center for Fine Scale Modeling in Odessa Fl.
Honestly I could care less if the train was run in a circle on plywood, I love narrow gauge steam modeling. The level of detail is extremely impressive.
IF...one uses superlatives, what one is describing better be that good. Is this 'very well detailed'? Yes.. irregardless of money spent, I've seen layouts I would say are 'more detailed'..several. Rather subjective. Maybe they should spend even MORE money... your mileage will vary.
Says the finest and most detailed layout. Well, it would be nice to get a look at that detail. You showed us the VERY nice train, and again, and again, and again, ..... How about the layout? For the most part it was shaky and out of focus, or blocked by the train which we saw over and over and over, and ....

Wooden bridges.....

Greetings from Greece
I wish I could shrink myself to walk around in that layout.
It would add much to next video to see you there.
Bet you'd fit right in. OR ELSE.
Be more awesome to ride the iron horse around the layout.
I love these two double heading locomotives!
Am amazing amount of detail on the trains and landscape. Thank you for sharing your wonderful set up with us.

Outstanding
Exellent
I would like to know what the guy standing on the flat car is doing
Just amazing. Such great detail. I would like to know the man hours that went into that.
excelent work great jon.
but the train running slowly why ?
It's in scale with the scenery.
chugga chuggla chugga chuggla
I'm thinking: why not a little graffiti on the cars like "Kilroy was here" or "Vote for Roosevelt" ?
How did you create the fog Effect?
Yeah , i wanna know also .
You need a more stable camera to record
What scale is this?
2 rail O gauge?
OMG I ❤love❤ the engine is that on30 I want one how much was it💲 and where did you get it
its 1:20.3 and its a modded bachmann k27
Sn3, actually... PFM.
ON30? G?
" ... large-scale traveling layout. This 1:20.3 scale modular model railroad ... " G scale to fine standards, or Fn3.
@@jonathanstoffregen390 thanks for the plain English translation

You need more depth of field, to much out each shot is out of focus
It'd be nice if you actually *SHOWED* us this layout instead of showing us repetitive shots of the *entire length* of the same kit-built train.
I am IMPRESSED !!!!,,, The OTHER video that 'claims' also,, to be the MOST DETAILED
Yes the detail is terrific but it is the same, boring, train throughout, hence the dislikes
Ditto on all of the accolades below........how in the heck did you guys simulate the fog?
