"Today the task of growing up through the middle childhood years has become more complex. No longer are boys and girls directed by simple and restrictive rules, conventions, and prejudices into clearly separate sex role identities. Roles of men and women in society have begun to shift, in some instances, dramatically. Major changes in rights, roles and responsibilities of men and women seem a certainty in the future. The impact of these changes can be seen in our laws, our languages, in the media, and in the relationships around us."
This is the third in a set of four filmstrips "designed to make students aware of the opportunities which are becoming available to them, and of some of the problems which have arisen in the course of historical evolution in changing roles of men and women."
