Seeing how they also have a gaming headset, I imagine these offerings are a way for them to make gaming bundles with their own products that they can package together for a complete solution. If a parent is buying a prebuilt for their kids and see a deal that includes all the other peripherals, they might jump on it. Definitely seems uninspired to be frank.

    • @pookzs

I'd argue they shouldn't even be making cases. The H1 V1 was a fire hazard because their "engineers" didn't know how to properly attach a board to the case. You know, something the ATX standard engineers laid out for motherboards decades ago that they could have just copied. But that would require them to not be complete idiots.

NZXT gave me a bad experience once when a CAM update caused my NZXT fan controller to stop all fans spinning. My CPU ran at a flat 100 degrees c for almost 30 mins before I noticed it.
But to this keyboard, its not very competitive but with hot swap and plate mount stabs, the sound can be improved with a bit of work, similar to any hot swap prebuilt. TBH Most custom keyboard cases look like an open tupperware container so it’s nice to see gamer type designs that offer customisation.

Hey, I don't think you understand how debounce actually works. Even a 100ms debounce time will not add any latency to a button. It will however, prevent you from activating it twice or more within that period of time. That being said, the latency on this mouse is pretty bad.

I am still completely baffled why they can't produce a houseing made of PBT for a mouse. Warping issues with keycaps have been fixed for ages now and I like my keycaps and mouse matte with a nice texture and not greasy and shiny.

about keyboard having nothing of value :
i was looking for a keyboard with numbers and Fs key lined up, so a 75% or a 96keys
    and in hotswap
    and with (per key) RGBs
    and in ISO
the only ones i found where the Keychron K2 and K4, and they have their own issues (like no rgb/keymap customisation without DIY flashing of qmk who make you loose support of the wireless bluetooth you payed for)
so this NZXT seem to have all of that
and software (who doesnt need to run in the background)
and it doesnt have the arrow keys cramed in the shift key, so more standard-sized keycaps
and it actually have more keys than a 75% (even if slightly bigger), it actually have 2 more keys than a TKL
and, cherry on the top for me, it have ISO-fr keycaps set(even if they are kind of scuffed, because how the print of normal, shifted and altgr-ed keys are)
so yeah, i found about it today, and im happy about it

    Solid new video.
Though I donno about the assessment with NZXT products. I remember them from the beginning and they seemed to always have a lot of rebranded/reskinned OEM items sourced from factories. Their early stuff looked like clones of Alienware cases with the cheapest brittle bezels known to man (see: Nemesis & Apollo cases).
They have definitely had some hit products over the years especially the ones called out, but there was also a lot of products that just were half baked ideas and not great value like was called out with the new accessories. I personally feel they haven't shaked those ways of doing things and have been aiming for a complete NZXT ecosystem than actually taking care and attention to ALL of the products they produce and offer. That has left us with either totally half backed ideas, a bunch of stuff with bad fit/finish, and a few absolute dreams of products that have made it to market.
Especially now more than ever I feel like NZXT views themself as a direct competitor to Thermaltake especially with their product offering. Only NZXT has at least grown up over the years and attempted to go for a bit more clean and minimalist aesthetic look to the products they offer.

I cant tell how many custom board have failed, either contact points, usb, or outright dying.. So having a actual warranty support is great.
I like its not pre-lubed so that I can do that how I like it, can swap switches to my taste and lube them..
It all boils down to warranty, and in country like India, this benefits great. I hope you understand the issue and use case. Not everyone lives in US where every spare parts are available easily.

Hey I am still using the Ducky One 2 mini and was wondering what keyboard you would recommend upgrading to currently? I still love the feel of the ducky One 2 mini I just want to try something new

    It’s a gaming keyboard yes?

I would take those over a membrane keyboard and poopy mouse that is bundled with a prebuilt pc. Granted if nzxt can bundle these with their bld stuff. I would say these are better than any other system integrators peripherals

I was thinking to get the pulsar xlite wireless v2 but no reviewers does the latency test on them yet. Would really appreciate if you could test it out. I don't want to get disappointed after buying if the click latency of the mouse is noticesable since my main is the razer viper 8khz.

It's a shame this sucks because I love the layout. I wanna minimize the footprint without dumping the function row or navigation keys for text editing. I could maybe tolerate sacrificing the function row but definitely not the nav keys as I use them any time I'm typing anything.

if they sold that keyboard as a barebones at like $100 or less, modding that board would be dope. i like the idea of the wheel on the left and the case doesn't look bad.

As usual. You need to wait for v2 of all NZXT products. Sometimes I don’t understand how NZXT makes such obvious mistakes.

These products are still way better than Alienware products. At least you can tell they tried. Like they put pure ptfe feet on their mouse. It still isn’t enough to compete though

I just can't get behind those tiny keyboards. My friend let me use his custom one for a couple days, and while it felt great, I couldn't make a permanent switch to one as I just miss the numpad way too much.
