I didn't grow up with Queen as well. I am only 19 years old but I'm really in love with Freddie Mercury. What makes Freddie Mercury a LEGEND? His voice, stage presence/best frontman ever, his charisma, and just his overall personality. Oh his very dedicated fans as well, coz I've actually seen a youtube shorts video about Freddie Mercury and BTS imitating his chant for the crowd and it was a bad imitation that people started dissing BTS coz they said it was very disrespectful to Freddie, and no matter how much insult BTS members get in the comments, you will see no BTS fan insulting Freddie coz they were also a fan of him. I mean c'mon Freddie is literally loved by everyone. BTS fans stand no chance to Freddie's fans. He was THAT loved.
To me it's just which vibratto do you enjoy more? Michael's is more pleasant to the ear. Freddy has great range but to sustain a note or hit a high one hr vibrato speeds up alot. I would like to hear him just sing straight toned.

Freddie had a wider vocal range then Michael. but honestly they could have picked far better vocals for both actually. Michael vocal range f#2 - C#6, Freddie vocal range F2 - F#6. But vocal range alone does not make you a great singer.

Of course Michael had a great voice. But Freddie range is much wider, Freddie vocal range is Baritone to High Soprano, which is a huge range.
