Hasbro should make this and other prototype “dream sets....” We’d all buy them....I still want my large scale Bespin Micro Collection sets....Give us what we want!!!!
I wish they would have made this with similar detail like the Falcon or Mon Calamari Cruiser ships. If they kept it with less detail, would it have sold if it opened up as a carrying case?
As a kid, I would've killed to have this, as it is my favorite ship design in all of Star Wars. Now, I have blockade runners (or the term I prefer, Corellian Corvettes) of varying sizes... the light and sound one that was released alongside the light and sound Star Destroyer in the 90s, a very highly detailed one from Fantasy Flight's Xwing board game, a couple of die cast miniatures, etc. Lol! Funny how many names this class of ship attained over the years: Galactic cruiser (from the original Star Wars novel), Blockade Runner, CR-90 Corellian Corvette, and the official name for Princess Leia's ship, the Tantive IV. May the Force be with you and yours, JunkMan.
Totally... and this ship needs a hallway so you can do a boarding scene. That scene is iconic and how most of us Gen X and older fans were introduced to Star Wars.
Thanks for this video, might have seen it in one of your previous videos or maybe I start hallucinating from all this covid lockdown...maybe soon somebody could print this blockade runner in 3D and sell it to the community...not trusting too much in haslab, though their khetanna sail barge looks amazing...the Star Wars action fleet series released the blockade runner and it looks nice and fits to the vintage micro collection, would be really nice to see this for the 3.75” figures in Kenner style! Thanks for the video, enjoyed it:)
Idk how those Hasbro retro figures are selling but releasing this as part of a retro ships line would probably be a hit/ and on another note, whoever gave the go ahead to re-release black series Captain Rex...you are my hero!
They should have done one with some interior hallways & side rooms. The Rebel Transport was a fairly sizable ship. A Blockade Runner of that size could have incorporated interior play areas. The original Millennium Falcon is another large ship example with interiors. This minimal Blockcade Runner is better than the Star Destroyer playset though.
Not only could you of used the Blockade Runner with your Star Wars figures, but this ship would of made an excellent playset for the micro-machines figures. Or had it escorted by some some micro-machines X-Wing, or attacked by micro-machines TIE fighters. The play value of this ship would of been fantastic.
Gus Lopez said collectors believe a prototype was made similar to the white witch (clearly there was from the pictures you showed )he recently said hes is trying to track it down ….if it still exists
I don't get it... They could make an updated one very similar to the original mold, release it under the Vintage collection, sell it for $100-200 and it would fly off the shelf. We don't need a Haslab gigantic one, just update the original mold and Viola!!! Good to go.
if it was twice the size it still would have been too small.....so it doesn't really work on any level. Marketing couldn't deal with it even being this big, play wise its too small, its a runner that didn't outrun anything so as a kid i would have thought of it as the ship that got its ass kicked instantly...as in the first to lose in the first movie. It was clearly abandoned quickly since they didn't finish up any of the detail.....and the outpost....was there any ship that had characters hanging off of it out in space?
You know what?!? F@$k this toy, all I need is a hallway to play with!!! .... Said no one ever, yet hallways (in two scales no less) and stairs are apparently the rage 😐
A Mark Hamill character sticking his head out the top of a Blockade Runner -- "Corellian Corvette Summer." 😉
Nice one
If it was a Harrison Ford character sticking his head out would it be called "Corellian Graffiti"?

Pretty silly of having the top outpost for a figure to stand on, the poor guy would suffocate in space.
Fun fact: the name of the ship is actually "Corellian Corvette."
Not to be confused with Mattel "Barbie Corvette"... although Gizmo actually made it look cool in *GREMLINS.*
My buddy Dave has a 3d printed one. Looks awesome 👍
Oh wow! Does it look pretty similar to the prototype?
Could you share a photo of it? Where did he get the scan from? Cheers
Yes looks the same.
I saw him post it on Instagram. I haven't been on Instagram in 6 months or so. Not sure who made it for him but looked the same as prototype.
@@estereddie make a thousand and put on ebay, soon your friend gets rich.
HASLAB COULD KNOCK THAT SHIP OUT OF THE PARK NOW IF THEY WANTED TO
It might be difficult to do in a scale that would satisfy the modern collecting sensibility for many collectors.
@@Tim85-y2q It would have to be similar in scale to the U.S.S. Flagg from the G.I. Joe line.
@@kingcynic Even then, it would still be out of scale (as was the Flagg back in the day)
I would have loved this, it’s an iconic ship that should be made into a figure scale toy
"Did you hear that? They shut down the main reactor! We'll be destroyed for sure! This is madness."
You put outta coupla new videos! I'm gonna go check them out. I need to hit the bell icon for notifications.
@@warpartyattheoutpost4987 Oh yeah! Hey, pay special attention to the little quotes I used in the "Best of Season One" episode. 😎

The scale is ridiculous. It could of easily been the scale of the Rebel Transport

They should HasLab it for 6" line. Would be huge, but pretty cool. Heck, even 3 3/4 line would be awesome. Have to be bigger then Sail Bardge!!
Junkman, go back in time and get Kenner to release this.
Thanks.
Need that in the RETRO collection yu know what I’m saying dun
Let’s get a petition and a trending hashtag 🤷🏻♂️
I would like to see this as a HASLAB offering with a POTF figure or 2
Gus Lopez said collectors believe a prototype was made similar to the white witch (clearly there was from the pictures you showed )he recently said hes is trying to track it down ….if it still exists
This would have been an easy playset to make. Too bad.
Oh, wow, that would have been cool!
I want that ship for my Star Wars Battle Miniatures.
Looked radical...🤘🏼💯✔
Wonder if it had a centerfold on the wall in the cockpit like the one in the original starwars..
The original Falcon!
Woah! Awesome!!
I'll totally buy that in a minute.
Short but sweet mate ;-)
Hasbro had the plans from Kenner but never made it since 95.....😭😭 i m sure it would sell fast !!
So this ship actually blockade the whole production line....
What is taking Hasbro so long to make this a Haslab project? Apart from the Sail Barge, this is my most wanted Star Wars toy collectible.
like 100, right on
Cool video!
This would be so easy to release today. Why isn't Hasbro doing it? (mostly "why am I still asking?" lol)
I’m saying, we should push Hasbro to release it as part of the Retro line
@@thorntonwager6750 Great idea! And "as is". Let not add to much details and gizmo. Basic retro style.

Although a like Star Wars and has a great collection as a kid, I’m just not impressed by this toy.
Agreed. It's too small and has no detail.
This thing would have pissed me off. The scale and just bland look of it is horrible.
Well, it "could" fit with a version shown in a couple of Marvel-comics back in the 80s...
The look was unfinished though since it was a prototype.
