  • Bikepacking to Wonnangatta Valley. Starting near Mt Hotham on the Twins Jeep Track, onto Selwyn Creek Road. To Mt Selwyn summit for the first night.
The next day Walshs track onto East Buffalo track and eventually to Wonnangatta track. Camped next to the Wonnangatta River. Night 2. Third-day Wonnangatta track to Hart Spur track (Very steep). I had to do several trips on the steep sections carrying my gear. This made for very slow progress. Which I didn't video just to get done. Night 3 at Guys-Mt Sarah Hut.
4th day Tree Tea Range Road and back to the Twins Jeep Track to finish off.
Over 4 days on rough tracks with great Sunsets and views and wildlife.

@@ChrisRishworth Chris I was just wondering what camera you use to get all those long range close ups for the bird life. I'm a keen watcher in the wild and have always wanted to film birds. It looks close up. Just wondering what camera and about magnification?

Thanks for ' taking' us places we haven't yet been. Mind you, I wont be going on the twin jeeps track anytime soon. Going from the Buckland Valley to Hotham I had to back back round corners on it years ago and well that scared the bejesus out of me. Maybe I should try it on a bike. Went camping at the back of Lake Buffalo last weekend. River was just right for swimming and the kids had fun. It was good to go bush.

Thanks. Yes, I think the track is easier on a bike. Weathers been good warm. Up at Corryong bit smoky now. Heading up to the Jagungal wilderness for some more bike packing. Cheers Chris.

Nice video as always Chris. I've travelled a lot of places around but never dropped into Wonnagatta. Been high on my list for a long time. Ever run into the button man? I hear his camp is nearby. All the best.

Button man might scare you but he won't hurt you.

Seems all out of proportion the down compared to the "up"...I'd be scared to ride that much downhill 😅. I'd love to see the actual contours, can't be quite as it appears....

I started at the same place as I ended. Very slow going on the steep uphill sections. Looks better when moving on the video.

Such a great video! Thanks for posting. And wondering if you are impressed with all of your recent bike mods? Do they each make a big difference, or do some of them not quite live up to the hype (and the expense..) cheers,

Thank you. The modifications are good. But the Belt drive chain (ring) is to close to the frame. Only 3 pieces of a4 paper fit in between. The bike shop did all the settings. If it gets loose at all, it could be a disaster. The Lauf is worth the money, probably not. I really like them. Need to secure the bottle mounts on better. I would like to convert the bike to 29 inch wheel set eventually with 2.8 or 2.6 tyres. It is going good for now.

Just as well the killer down there is locked up now. That Chinese tent still going strong?

Yes, it is remote. Luckily, almost all people there are good.. Yes, tent is still good. I would prefer a bit lighter. 😃

I looked into it, but it wants a paid subscription to do that. In the description, I gave lots of the tracks. It was steep.
