When I tell people I’m an introvert they so often say “but you’re not at all shy!” And I’m not. I read such a good thing ages ago that explained that it’s not about being shy or confident in company, it’s whether you feel drained or energised afterwards. I love seeing and chatting with my friends, but afterwards I’m completely exhausted. Extroverts feel full of energy after a big gathering.

Here in San Diego, CA you came out in one of our local channels. I told my family, I know her & I subscribe to her youtube & IG accounts. I'm also an introvert. I always have a good time hanging out with friends, too - yet I don't do it as often as I should. I'm not a phone person either, I rather text someone than call them. I enjoy people, just that I really enjoy my alone time even more. Plus, when I hang out with friend's/family I enjoy. It's great to have alone time to decompress. The energy from other people can drain me. I always thought something was wrong with me, but come to find out I'm just an introvert. I guess these are introvert struggles. At least now I know that I need alone time & to take the time without feeling guilty. Thank you for this great video with amazing tips. Here's to your continued success. @@katiejessie2375 It's the place to be. I'm on the eastside. I have gone through this house twice, but I don't have my husband on board so I'm limited on how much I can get away throwing out. It still feels alot better in here
I watched Dawn and Natalie Bennett's videos yesterday. I went through my files and purged 1.5 feet of garbage; 8 inches to shred; and 4 inches to giveaway (greeting cards and embellishments.) I feel more free and hopeful. Thanks for inspiring me to set up a new system for my paper clutter!
I'm an extroverted introvert. I love being with people but will reach a limit and need to hibernate and recharge at home. I'm also a group person so exercising or doing crafts alone is hard.
Here’s my system. When we moved to Japan a year after the tsunami we had to have our paperwork together “in case of evacuation”. I created a 3 ring emergency binder with all long term paperwork. It is tabbed with wills, birth certificates, social sec cards, passports title etc. and it lives in a fire/waterproof safe. When we Moved that binder came with us on the plane. Last year we grabbed it when we had tornado warnings and had to take cover in another location. Can’t recommend that enough. And for us all of the short term stuff hangs out in a magazine holder and every payday I go through it, pay bills and dig through the todos.
That is an amazing idea! I live in Oklahoma so tornado warnings are a way of life here. They always say be prepared to take cover. You just don't think about all you will need to replace if your house does get blown away!
@@sparkie8278 we also made bug out bags for each family member. Water, food, shoes, change of clothing and we grab their “babies” aka lambie and bear. We live in Panama City Fl and hurricanes and tornadoes are a thing. Red Cross in Misawa Japan put a class together when we first got there about emergency/earthquake planning. And the thing that I’ll never forget is listening to the 60 year instructor talking about how her father was military and they lived in Turkey during an uprising when she was 4. Her mom came in and told her to grab her favorite toy and they left. And NEVER CAME BACK! They left with one suitcase and that was it- they got evacuated out. So anything we would need to restart our lives is in that binder.

This is one of my favorite videos of yours ever! This is my goal by Valentines Day! All of it! So incredibly super helpful! Thank you so much Cas!!! You’re the best! I appreciate you and your sunny positive disposition and all your hard work!
Oh I am such an introvert. I go to church weekly and I go to the store only when I have to. I also deliver meals on wheels 1-2 times monthly. I love being at home. I can’t wait to get my paper under control
Haha! I love it! I'm and introvert and I was already working from home (for the past 7 or 8 years) when the pandemic began so my life hardly changed at. all. !
I'm happy for all if you introverts. However, for me this is literally so hard. I do have to work everyday, essential worker, but no fun things... Its hard on my mental health. Hopefully we make it through the other side. Stay safe everyone.
Thank you so very much. It’s should never be cliche that we need you and are grateful for you. As a law enforcement and healthcare mom, I worry about my kids but I’m also very proud of them. Thank you again and may you get sone rest and relaxation soon. 💛
You just changed my life. Have been so overwhelmed lately. I’m the queen of watching decluttering & “10 rules” videos but this weekend yours “stuck”. Thank you sooo very much for sharing your time and self with us. New & most grateful fan.
I’ve been trying to do micro filing for so many years and drowning in paper clutter. Realizing now I am a macro organizer. The accordion folders by year are a dream! I am just going to keep 2 years. So much excess!! Thank you. ❤
Cas my challenge is organizing the "sentimental" and memory items! I'm getting better, especially at going through them and this has helped me a lot with the other papers that gather. I really like the visual organizers because as some of us know 'out of sight, is out of mind'. Thanks much.
Don't feel guilty! As introverts we have been suffering for years from all those playdates, school meetings, kids' sports practices and tournaments. We are always forced to socialise although we hate it. Until 2020 we lived in a world for extroverts and they never felt guilty, did they?
I am so happy to hear someone admit that they LIKE staying home! I am lucky enough to be newly retired with a lifetime hoard of craft materials and I am relishing having my own timeline for once! It helps that my husband has also retired, we live in a sunny climate and we have pets. It has been a year on pandemic restrictions and I am sad to say I have not organized an purged much of anything, but now I can see the path for papers, thanks to this video!! Thanks, Cas! Also, I found out I am a Bee, which is what my name means in Hebrew! HA!
I'm totally an introvert too. Aside from the fear of actually getting Covid along with the fear for people who have gotten it, I'm really okay with the not leaving the house thing. It has actually gotten rid of the stress of having to go to social gatherings etc. We're also doing online school right now and I haven't worked since the spring time, but I don't think I'm going to go back to working once this is over. If I do it will only be part time. I have found I actually love doing the "homemaker" stuff now that I'm not exhausted from work all the time, and I can actually manage the budget even better when I'm not working so it's more feasible than we originally thought.
Watching this, I realize that after trial and error (and much disaster!) I have settled on this exact systems, Cas! And for about 3 years now, paper has not been a stress!! Thanks!
I'm a major extrovert and your update about Ontario was really sad! I'm so glad I don't live there. I'm having a birthday party in a couple weeks - outside with as many people as I can! I miss people so much... I haven't done this at all, just seen a couple people here and there, so I am so excited to have a group of people!
I'm an extrovert too. I want/need to see people every day. I live in the usa. So glad when all of this is past and we can see faces again and be ourselves.
I don't know if you will see this or not, but I'm just like you Cas. The only thing that changed in my life with Covid is the time frame when I order my groceries for pickup. I used to place my order the night before and pick them up the next morning. But now it is usually two days because more people are ordering and picking up their groceries. My life did not change at all! I do feel sorry for people who are home bound and they desperately want to socialize (like my daughter and best friend.) This paper management system is EXACTLY what I need!!!!!!! EVERY thing you mentioned is me! Now I know what to do and not do with everything and put it all together. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
*So fun to be doing this collab with you, Cas! Ahhh paper clutter used to be my nemesis too! Eliminating paper clutter has been so life changing. These are such great tips, dear!*
Watched your previous video on paper organizing and it totally changed my life! I use the accordion system for short term papers. I also love the binder system for important house info and even have one for recipies/meal planning. Thanks for sharing your great advice for all types of people!
Thank you SO much for the printouts!!😁👍 Y'all in the playlist helped me get brave- I cleared the table last night, printed out your little cards this morning and worked for a big chunk of the day. So so thankful for you all!! And the printouts of the difference of what to archive, what goes short term, etc really really helped bcs normally I'm literally frozen with fear of what to put where, what to keep. It was such a great guide to go by. Thx!!😊🎉
I'm an Extrovert! 😭😭😭😭😭 I love individual persons but I don't like when places are too peopley...if that makes sense. So like I don't like crowded amusement parks but I totally talked to every random stranger in the grocery store and parking lot and anywhere else I happen to go. Which is nowhere. We basically have been in our house since March inless it is for groceries. Aside from seeing some family a very very long time ago we've just been by ourselves I am thankful that I have three kids there so at least they have each other to play with. But I miss my adult mom friends. And honestly I only saw them at like said mom meetings or like taking my kids to school and stuff like that cuz I'm really awful about maintaining relationships but I love hanging out with people I'm just not good with the follow through. Thank God for RUclips. 🤣 You guys are my friends. If it weren't for you I wouldn't see human faces. I absolutely hate zoom. It's funny because I have a whole lot of introverted friends and it's probably cuz I am an extrovert and I come out of my shell and find them. 😉 So introverts have a special place in my heart. I definitely am an extrovert. I will be happy when this whole pandemic thing ends!!!!
These categories work amazing for emails. Just cleaned out 1122 emails. Saved what I needed into these 5 categories and it was super fast and I feel I'll be able to find what I need.
Team introvert here. Thanks for the tips. I have been listening to you for a while and have started to set up a system that works for me. Still tweaking it but I am way more organized than in the past.
Oh my goodness yes about the last part! I was an extroverted introvert before, but now I am full-on introvert, or maybe just depressed? IDK, but I really don't even care if I leave the house.
Introvert here! I was furloughed from March until May and I loved it! I hated that I had to return to work. All my family members are introverts and we were happy to be home!
This is me too. Always fed off others energy around me (can be a good and bad thing), but am now enjoying it when the hubby goes to work. Uk are on a full lockdown too but we are allowed out to exercise once a day - should really start doing that 🤣
You're the only organizing lady I want to devote my time to watching. I relate to you the most - you relate to me, so it works. I am not missing going out! I love feeling like a queen by having everything delivered to me or set in the back of my van. So, I feel sorry for my senior, but the rest in my family can relate to you. Always giving good advice, thanks Cas!
Great video Cas. As a Butterfly you've helped me realize why I have failed again and again at filing systems. Going to try the macro basket method. Wish me luck! ~ Jo Anne
Girl I adore you! Yes I am a complete introvert too! My husband is ready to loose his mind because we can’t go out. I’m perfectly content staying home. And yes I can relate to having to be dragged out of the house to meet up with friends. Once I’m out of the house I’m a social butterfly... Btw I love videos. Keep doing what your doing 😊
I found this today of all days-when I am going to go through our papers. We are getting all of our tax stuff now so, it’s time! I need the files to be hidden but extremely accessible. Pull it out, grab what is needed, put it back. You’re so fun to listen to and I love your ideas! I’m a lady bug too but I still need everything in one organized, well labeled, box.
I am an introvert, too, and I have been fine with this. Staying home is not a problem for me. Watching your RUclips channel, and channels for other folks I follow, taking classes via Zoom, doing a lot of reading, visiting by telephone occasionally. It is all good! Thanks, Cas, for all your organizing tips. Shelly
Yep! But I've started "scheduling" time-outs for myself! LOL! My kids still want to come and interrupt me, but if they sit down to a show on TV, I take off into a different room and have my recharge time alone.
I agree whole heartedly. Hubby and I are both introverts and he retired during the lock down and neither one of us ever have the house to ourselves. I need my alone time so much, as does he. It's more difficult than ever to get that.
Dear Cas, I am so sorry for your loss. I will definitely get you and you family in my prayers. I found that listening to Elton John’s song, I’m still standing” really motivates me. My you find peace.
Im a Butterfly Bee and love your tips and tricks! Just watched the ending to your Butterfly about the outdoor toilet problem. When raising my sons, now 44 and 40 , we went camping rough style several times. I didn't want the boys to be by themselves when i needed to find the far away restroom. Figured out a way to solve problem. Take an sturdy extra large dry detergent bucket you buy at wherever and fill it within about 8 inches or so to the top, with lightweight old fashioned or scoopable cat litter. Everybody can use it and the waste is covered up. It worked like a charm and wasn't that heavy. The waste could be disposed of the next day or in 2 or 3 days if necessary.
I am rewatching many of your videos and have to agree that for introverts, staying home is normal. Curbside shopping for groceries has been a wonderful tool. Like you, I miss seeing friends in person, but I think I take advantage of my extrovert friends to help me re-charge my "batteries" for a few hours, until I have to unplug again... Take care!
I love both scenarios. However, having been a mom, I have no problem staying home. Love it, actually. Thank you so much for the wonderful video and the ideas Cas. I always learn something from you. God bless you and your family.
Introvert! INFP. My daily life hasn’t changed at all. This is an introvert’s paradise in California right now 😄 The nicest thing for me is that nobody can come inside or drop by. I am decluttering my house and it looks worse than when I started, but I’m sending out a truckload each week to charity and filling up one garbage can and two recycle cans every week! ❤️
I'm such an introvert, but I'm like you and I feel really bad for people like my daughters who really are missing their friends and doing things with other people. I pray this is over soon.
I am not an Introvert. Staying home and not going anywhere causes me anxiety. You have energized me to declutter. Soon people will be coming over and I am not decluttered and organized. I already have some files. I love the suggestions to get to the next steps of paper organization. I was surprised to see that you are a local neighbour. You go girl!
My cat and I are Introverts. She loves your voice she watched the entire RUclips just now. I'm a hidden organizer too. Great action folder, reference basket, the box and short & long term system. I have used the same systems for years. I can attest to this being most effective, functional, and productive for me. Home management binder is a great idea. I wish I had known of that ong ago. Great work, Cas!
Your previous book helped me understand why I love the idea of the stuff on the wall, but in reality, it stresses me out. My papers go in a basket, and I have a system that works thank to you!
I have watched the entire playlist of paper declutter and while everyone is lovely , yours is the one that made sense for me. I love how you broke down the categories of paper into timelines , and gave a system. It was the first time I could envision actually managing the paper clutter. Thank You so much for sharing your knowledge and different ways to accomplish the task. Also fellow introvert here , I love not feeling guilty or like I have to socialize.
I'm an introverted extrovert. If I know I can go places I'm fine staying home but the first time someone tells me I can't go or the weather's to bad to travel in I get claustrophobia and have to go out.
I still struggle with paper clutter 📝 but I made huge progress this past year thanks to your many suggestions! 💜 Also I finally decided to try not to worry about past paper (for now) and get a handle of current paper work all last year and I did it! I’ll get to those past years bins yes I said bins eventually! 💜🌿💜🌿💜🌿💜 Love you Cass, you are the best!
Totally ok with staying in - no traffic, no rush hour, Zoom meetings, phone sessions. I do have friends who get depressed by being alone. I do forget what day it is... Love all the paper clutter helps! That is my biggest problem.
Paper Clutter? Are you talking about the 2 boxes full of paper under my bed? The ones that I said I'd get to once we move into our new house? The house that we purchased last March? Yeah. I'm familiar with paper clutter.
I love this video! I've learned that I'm a macro organizer as you are and I now have great ideas on how to declutter my paper nightmare! Thank you! I feel motivated! I also felt some anxiety leave my body. I love how you decorate your folders!!!
Each of my 3 kids I had a memory bun for and when they each graduated I made a huge binder with protector sleeves and placed everything from preschool until graduation in that binder and gave it to them as a gift at their graduation party. They spent hours looking through everything I had saved...I decorated the front of the binder with a senior picture and scrapbook stickers...it was the cutest and very sentimental to them ♥️

I hope your ok, it must be so hard when your an extrovert. Stay safe ❤ 🇬🇧
Take at least one hour a day, if possible, to take care of you. God bless you and yours! Stay safe! Thank you for all you do!
Thank you providing much needed services.
My husband is the same. He's a major extrovert and even though goes to work everyday this year has been so hard.
You can't say you're a poor teacher -- you're teaching us in every video! Good tips!
I wish I could like this twice, once for then 1st part and then for the 2nd 👍👍 from an introvert from the uk 😊 wishing you all good things x
Also a closet introvert - kind of feeling guilty about enjoying lock downs.
Totally agree!!!
No guilt here.
You can just consider yourself "well adapted to isolation."
Don't feel guilty!
As introverts we have been suffering for years from all those playdates, school meetings, kids' sports practices and tournaments. We are always forced to socialise although we hate it. Until 2020 we lived in a world for extroverts and they never felt guilty, did they?
@@henriettelinkshanderin1449 You are so right! Although you're linkshändig! 😉 Das bin ich auch! 👍
I love the collab that you're all part of!
Thx!!😊🎉
The paper memory bin is brilliant. Thank you.
Same here!!! Loving my "winter vacation" here in Ottawa! Don't have to even leave to go to work!!! ❤️
Introvert . Quarantine...... I've been training my whole life for it. lol Stay safe Cas xxx
Another introvert here who's in Code Red in Winnipeg. I feel kind of guilty for enjoying the lockdown.
Introvert here! I was furloughed from March until May and I loved it! I hated that I had to return to work. All my family members are introverts and we were happy to be home!
I’m an extrovert and really miss people! But I really enjoy the days my hubby goes in to work.🤣🤣 Am I turning into an introvert? 🤣
~ Jo Anne
Ok, you got me. Thanks from a million bits of paper, great time to sort !
Introvert here!🤗 Love this series! I am all in! Thank you for the simple filing system. Definitely going to macro file.💙💖💙
We had that strict lockdown last spring in France. I'm an introvert too so I feel you on this one 😉 it did not change anything on my daily life!
I'm an introvert, too! Besides people getting sick and dying, this pandemic has been great lol.
Shelly
Not all introverts enjoy lockdown. I mean, I love my family, but now I never have alone time anymore. 😂
That is so true! I am in a household of four adults. My introvert time used to be in a coffee shop with a book.
Once a week my husband takes our son to the store. IT IS THE BEST HALF-HOUR EVER.
So funny I just said those same exact words to a friend this evening. “I’m never alone”😆
YOU ARE HILARIOUS! THE COMEDIC ORGANIZED HOMEBODY🥰! THANK YOU Mrs Bug. Always appreciate your content. Thank you
I’ve been waiting for this! Thanks Cas!
Dear Cas, I am so sorry for your loss. I will definitely get you and you family in my prayers. I found that listening to Elton John’s song, I’m still standing” really motivates me. My you find peace.
Hahaha I’m a total introvert too, Cas! These stupid lockdowns are my finest hour. 😂
You Rock! I love your energy!!!Thanks for the tips and tricks!!! It's going to help so much! Hugs!
Take care!
I’m a introvert I love staying home. I can go weeks without doing anything that means stepping foot outside the door 🤷🏻♀️
I love both scenarios. However, having been a mom, I have no problem staying home. Love it, actually. Thank you so much for the wonderful video and the ideas Cas. I always learn something from you. God bless you and your family.
Oh man. Perfect timing. I'm about to drop the kids at school and head back home to watch this!!.... and then tackle this project at home. 😬😁👍🥰
Introvert!
Definitely an introvert 🤣🤣!!! All my bills come electronically, no paper clutter there, But a system is still needed to manage it😂😂😂
I’m with you girl. Introvert. Had no problem staying home during the shutdown.
I’m starting at my HUGE pile of paper clutter right now lol!!
I wish there was a option to add a pic of my cat listening intently watching full show of Cas on Tv. Too cute!
I’m good with staying home as well. We aren’t on full lock down though. My husband is an extrovert so he goes out more than he should
Thanks for helping me with my paperwork.
Paper clutter is real lol I’m here for this!
Your previous book helped me understand why I love the idea of the stuff on the wall, but in reality, it stresses me out. My papers go in a basket, and I have a system that works thank to you!
I'm always so glad I stay until the end. I'm a cross of an extroverted introvert. I'm ok with staying home but at the same time I miss people.
Me too!
I’m an introvert - haven’t had a problem being quarantined. 😃💖
Me too. 😚😙😍
Me too! I'm hooked now on working from home!
Lol! I can relate!
That's my nemesis too. The daily paper is easy to keep under control. It's those boxes of papers that seem insurmountable. 😥
@@Myeverydaywifelife Hi Michelle 👋 ☺
I love this video! I've learned that I'm a macro organizer as you are and I now have great ideas on how to declutter my paper nightmare! Thank you! I feel motivated! I also felt some anxiety leave my body. I love how you decorate your folders!!!
Introvert!!!! Life has only enabled my “introvert ness”
Each of my 3 kids I had a memory bun for and when they each graduated I made a huge binder with protector sleeves and placed everything from preschool until graduation in that binder and gave it to them as a gift at their graduation party. They spent hours looking through everything I had saved...I decorated the front of the binder with a senior picture and scrapbook stickers...it was the cutest and very sentimental to them ♥️
Introvert. I haven’t had a problem with staying home.
😂me too

LOVE YOUR VIDEOS ---I am a introvert nothing change except getting married 2020. I was happy keeping my wedding small.
