i have honestly watched this about 4 times because last weekend i got my first 1979 cj5 and hoping to make it look similar to this !!!
This guy has never driving a CJ. I know this guy drives a convertible. With his boyfriend next to him!
Aww sounds like you two have so much fun ❤️
lmaoo did he really just say it has a transmission in here? 6:06
jared p ya it's in the center console so no one steals it
Como adquirir um jeep desses?
12 inch shackle lift OH MY GOD!!!! Still spring under leafs another OMG. Look at that drag link that connects the steering, at the drop pitman arm area another OMG. Swaybars really?? I think some kid got a welder for Christmas here and played a bit on the Jeep. Nice rattle can black on the shocks, no orange peel at all in the finish LOL. Manual brakes, geeeeze. Love hearing his rings slap the fresh paint job. Other than a few hiccups, a really sick Jeep. Too bad it's not a CJ7 though.
WHAT?!!? you r in front a CJ5 V8 and u talk about the fancy red color, the cromo bullbar and u laugh about the "cartoon tire"!!! Please go away! we dont need you!
CJ-5 jeep badge on the rear is in the wrong place
I’ve got a ‘99 wrangler and it has ruined me.
I can never own, nor drive any other car.
It now has almost 125k miles on it with the first 65k being flawless. Since then, however, every six months or so something major has crapped out on it.
But I don’t care!!!
She is a fickle mistress that I will be a simp for forever!🤣
Did you know you’re trying to sell a jeep, nobody that’s not form California cares about the underside? You should try to sell to realistic people!!! Thank you and STAY IN CALIFORNIA.
My dad had a cj7. It was rebuilt and sounded way better than this lol
Get rid of those sway bars you don't need them. Guaranteed you won't notice much of a difference on the road with them off. And they limit your suspension travel severely off-road.
Then he goes to set his hand on there and you can hear his watch hit it lol
Every time I drive by Flemmings this is always the first to catch my eye... if only lol
drag link and tie rod should be near parallel WTF!
This is my dream jeep...... Maybe someday when I'm older
That thing is a cruising dream!!
I hope you realize that you can only drive with the windshield down off road. Nice jeep.
what have you done to the driveline? t-case drop? ruins ground clearence. whats with the amc 20 in the back? itll snap the moment you hit the gas hard. i can only hope you've rgeared otherwise youll max out at 50. theres a lot of important stuff that was overlooked for the sake of catching barbies eye with "oh look a cool jeep"
it's a jeep...offroad vehicle...true muscle...mud, sand, water, dust...and you worry about some rings?! is that what you would do to this car? store it & treat it like a fairy!? go drive your prius & eat organic avocado paste, Darren McProm Queen!
That looks good going up the road but should have painted it red or corvette racing yellow
mine was a 1978 cj5 304,i wish i never sold it,had so much fun in it,but urs is much nicer.
I've run both the 20 & the late '86 D44. If you go to 1 pc axles, truss it and weld the tubes, the 20 will be just fine. And less money! The 20 R&P is bigger too, by a tad. Sorry, but I've beaten my 20 w/a V8 & 33s for years and never a failure. On this CJ, you might be right though. Anybody notice the nightmare handling that will be caused by lack of a drop pitman arm? Regeared? W/stock gears it will be a slug off the line, but top end will be huge! It will NOT max out@50 w/a 304 &stock gears.
Willys cj 5 👍👍👍👍👍👍
I have quick dis-connects for my sway bars. If you're making good power & drive rapidly they're a must. But you're right, gotta unhook 'em for serious off roadin'!
you always make a great video! good commentary. but can you watch you're rings ,you slap the ring on the paint. MAN!
Lol, the last thing you want off road are Sway bars, all in all it is a beautiful little pavement princess.
A question what would you give for an Jeep grand cherokee 98' V8 330hp engine
Ex-cop car 226890km. Thanks.
at least its not fiberglass hood and has no boiler plate covers.
Um dia, vou ter um jeep e tentar estar nestas condições.
que hermoso envían a Argentina?
4 barrel not legal CA. i know cuz i have one. fucking ca
l live in CA, and it sucks. l want to buy a CJ7 and put a V8, but l did that once to a 83 CJ7 and didn't past the stupid smog even tho it ran awesome. l had a 75, and 79 CJ5, but l prefer the CJ7.
My aunt Debbie's Jeep is better!
Missing the spare tire and its holder that is supposed to be mounted on the back of the tub
Your thinking of the m38a1s, the cj5 was copied from the m38a1 and I order to incorporate a tail gate the spare tire mount was moved to the right side.
Hutch1200 said it correctly about the AMC 20 rear axle. All you need is one piece axles and 4.56 gears with the real deal Detroit Locker in it. No need for 1 ton crap that's way over priced and drags the ground at the pumpkin. The AMC 20 is stronger than the Dana 44 with the above mods. As Hutch1200 said, I've also been there and done it with the AMC 20. Only problems I had with mine was with the factory 2 piece axles. Those went in the dumpster and now trouble free.
THANK YOU, Sir! Glad to see there is 1 other person who has used the AMC 20 w/decent mods, successfully. People go $$ nuts on rears. Even after they stuff a small block Chevy, and never really tune it for max available power, for $400-600 you've got a stock rear w/good aftermarket support.
Most guys add junk cheby full size axles. Too much money to adapt it to a Jeep for NO strength increase over the AMC 20 (talking about the 10 and 12 bolt here). Have you seen how freakin' close a 14 bolt is from the ground? Even on a lifted rig? When done correctly, with USA made forged and induction hardened ONE PIECE AXLES, the AMC 20 is fine for 39.5 x 18 wide Boggers like I had. Most guys think they need 1 ton running gear in a Jeep, wrong. All you are doing is adding more weight and complexity to your rig. Don't know how many 10, 12 and 14 bolt "conversions" I've drove around that were broke on the trail. A trussed and welded AMC 20 with 1 piece axles is pretty freakin' stout. Then you add the real deal Detroit Locker with say 4.56 or so gears like I have and enjoy. This is another key. Get a real locker and never look back. No ARB junk with all the unnecessary parts like compressors and mufti-failure areas like air lines and fittings. You get the point. Here we go again with complexity - ARB lockers.
jim davidson COULD. NOT. AGREE. MORE! I hate ARB & cable lockers. More sh!te to go bad in the worst places. That stuff will give you FALSE confidence/security.. & get you hurt. Fast! If you don't mind, I'd like to save your above note to a file to show others that the 20, when set up on the cheap (compared to 1 tons), is indeed a viable rear. 39.5x18s, "come on Son", that's endorsement enough for me! And the Detroit locker has been around for 50+ years, so I'd say it has proven itself, no? If you find yourself in N.E Pa, give me a shout & we'll tear "stuff" UP!
well, your name is sandy?!...
where are you guys located?
Still got her?I love her!
I did not know AMC made a 340ci ?
They didn't. 304 360 390 401 then the six'

+MrNelsonb2 What, do you live in California? It's exempt from emissions.
here in pa we have emissions in counties around large cities like pittsburgh some counties are exempt
