I’ve been building my 80 CJ-7 for ten months now and feeling a little bummed about the progress. This inspired me to keep pushing through the challenges. That’s a beautiful CJ man!!! Truly stunning. I’m a long way away yet but the 360 is in and should be running in the next two weeks. Thanks for the inspiration!!
That's a gorgeous truck, but has a little too much cam for off road work except maybe sand racing! I recently calmed down my '85 (built 5.0 Ford, C4) by doing a cam swap with a little less duration. I originally over cammed it to reduce the effective compression but found I could get by with less cam on premium fuel.

It's a YJ bar...many of the parts are interchangeable between CJ-7's & YJ's including the body tub...my '86 has a swapped on YJ tub.
