BEST video that I have seen. I just bought one 2 days ago and still had questions.... You answered everyone that I could think of.... thank you so much for the time it took for you to explain everything.....
BEST VIDEO EVER. And…for all those who think it is “expensive”…one of best points ever…thousands more spent over time trying and falling short on “best storage” pieces and STILL have stuff strewn throughout the house. UGH! This is NOT expensive. It is an INVESTMENT assuming crafting is a large part of your life AND like many of us older crafters, meets changing needs for differing crafts over time.
Well, it IS too expensive. It's too expensive for what it is. It's MDF and you have to assemble every bit of it. You can get better quality 3/4" plywood at Lowe's and even have them cut most of it. One can be made for about $600. You can build 10 for the cost of 1. Plus assembly wouldn't be much longer. The extra time to plan it and paint it would be most of the extra time.
You are absolutely wonderful in teaching your crafting ideas so that all of us out here will have the confidence to try them on our own. No one could be more down to earth and make things so easy to understand. Thank you for being a breath of fresh air in our crafting world.
I made a little shelf for my silhouette machine…I store it in the same spot you have your circuit. My hubby cut a piece of the shipping crate, I put four tiny castors on it, and I can just roll the machine out to use it and roll it back when I’m done.
I’ve been considering getting a dreambox 2 and randomly found your video. It was such a big help. I don’t know if I need this much space but it’s really cool. I loved your video, and love your bubbly personality! Just the best. Thank you!
I just found your YT channel, attempting to determine what I’d like to order. Thank you for doing this. You are super fun to watch & I appreciate the honest review & that you paid for your DB ❤
You are delightful! Thank you for doing this! So detailed the way you showed everything. I am definitely gonna order and now I have a much better idea of the add-ons I wanna include thanks to your video! (And I’ve watched a lot of videos on this - but yours has been the most helpful in really spelling everything out)
Beth! oh im so glad i found this video, not sure how I missed it before. i am debating about getting this and just cannot decide!!!!! I was totally wondering about those who paid vs not - thank you! My craft situation is totally like what you described - a bunch of mis-matched "storagey-things" but I'd love to have all of my craft things in one spot. I am trying to decide if I should get the half set or full set of in-view totes. I could see myself getting the half then ordering extra to fill out what i need but I do think I'd need most other than in that top area so maybe its a better deal to just get full set for flexibility. Thanks for mentioning the magnetic panels! I saw the whiteboard but didn't see that - because you have to click into the whiteboard and change the option. Definitely worth it! I have so many random dies!
Oh I'm so glad you found this! I am an "over buyer" so I got the full set...and have actually used the "leftover" bins in other parts of my house like our bathroom closet! :)
I am here watching because of the title and the shade of it all: “I actually paid for it!”😂😂😂 Here’s why I love this…we will get your HONEST opinion about it ❤❤❤❤Thank you
Hi I love this video, I know is been a while since you made it, but I just found it. Just an fyi those “flat clear boxes” are to store whatever project you are in the process of making. Example if you’re working on several cards at a time you can store all supplies in each and just stack them until you get back to it. You might already know the answer, but still 😊. Thanks again for your video.
Thanks for the review! I saw this cabinet quite a while ago and lost track of where to purchase it. Now I'm revisiting the idea of purchasing, looked around for a while and found your video! Thanks again, I'm so excited!
I couldn’t use your code because I bought mine during a sale, but I just wanted to thank you for an amazing video. I have been wanting a scrapbox/dreambox for years and now I’m finally getting one. Your video convinced me that it would work well for me as a scrapper/card maker. ❤
Thank you ! This was so helpful in cementing that this was a system for me. I am just about to get my basement converted to give me a craft room and I know I need to sort my stash. Great inspiration. I’m off to work through what I do and do not need. The magnetic sheets and space for 12x24” sheets were a game changer.
THANK YOU for making and sharing this video! I have been looking at the Dreambox for some time and have seen mixed reviews on functionality. Yours is the most recent review I have come across and it looks as though Create Room may have worked on some of the areas of concern expressed by others. The information you shared, and how you shared it helped me to make my decision on the features I wanted and I "hit the button" on my purchase! I love how you are so down-to-earth and natural in your video and so patient and thorough in answering all the questions! I know you're the kind of person I would like to share a glass of wine with!! Lol
oh yay!!! you are going to love it!! If you screenshot your order and email it to beth@thekingstonhome.com I've got a $25 starbucks gift card to send you! :)
Great video! I would love to order the magnetic paper for the dies, but I didn’t see any kind of link to it. Do you have one to share with us? Thank you
That is one of my favorite accessories! You are totally right - that link is hard to find! Here it is: www.createroom.com/products/whiteboards?variant=40034135605310
Hi Beth, I just found this video of you when I was looking at a DreamBox email about Zooey Deschanel. (Not sure if she paid for hers!) How fun to see you! I would love one but have no room at this moment due to all the daycare stuff. I always enjoy watching you! I also have one of the Origami rolling carts from HSN and love it. Customer service was great too! Have a wonderful weekend! Marianne Chapman
I am so happy I found you! You are so much fun to watch and this video had so much useful information!!! I am a cardmaker and was wondering if the Dreambox was not worth it for me. It is definitely an investment so it will take me awhile to save up the money for it but I think it will definitely be worth it! I was wondering if you could store your mini ink cubes in the three drawers so they would be layed out instead of in a bin? I will be ordering the 2 magnetic stickers because they are amazing and such a wonderful use of that space! I love having wine when I am crafting and I love that I found someone else who makes videos while enjoying a glass of wine!!
Shoot I'm so sorry I'm just now seeing this! You totally could store your ink pads (or minis) in those drawers! And I just ordered another magnet sheet for my other door because I ran out of room on the first side! It is my favorite feature! :)
I love this but don't have any room for one. When our local Menards store was remodeling, my husband purchased a kitchen display that included upper cabinets and lower cabinets, some with drawers and a pantry for my craft room. I am considering the white magnetic boards for the inside of the pantry doors for some of my dies.
I do love the rainbow colors...I guess you could duplicate the same look on the new plastic clear bins with SVG cut files.....I love white, but COLOR cheers me up!
Let’s talk dies on the door magnet: Many come in sets with word dies AND stamps. What do you do to cross reference the magnet dies to those…and are they kept in original packaging to reference? In which case, do you mark a reference number on the door dies to be able to get back to the original pkg/stamps?? So want to get the dies up but also realize some cross-reference is going to be needed??
Hi Cheri! That is a great question, I actually just use the door magnet for things like alphabets, nested dies and large sentiments that do not have accompanying stamps. I recently moved all my coordinating stamp and die sets into these storage boxes from WRMK and LOOOOOVE them!!!! go.magik.ly/ml/1gvkb/
Finally got around to watching this. Excellent walk-thru Beth. I need to check to see if they are available to ship to Canada without breaking the bank. Hope you and Don have a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year!!!
I watched your video so many times before purchasing my DreamBox with the Back To School special. I have a lot of paper and plan to set my DreamBox up similar to your layout. Do you happen to have it sketched out the planning sheet? If so, I would love a copy.
Beth, very informative and, of course, enjoyable. I think I said somewhere else to you I can only get one if my husband leaves his office space. Not going to happen.
My wife is wanting this for her birthday and I am curious do you think it is possible to buy the insert boxes from stores like Walmart ? I am thinking they have to be cheaper to buy the totes from stores then buying them from the company. Am I wrong ? I do not know. Help.
I think you absolutely COULD buy inserts somewhere else...but I think it would have to be somewhere like the Container Store that has tons and tons of options and specific sizes, not somewhere like Walmart that would have just a few choices. The Container Store isn't super cheap either, and you'd have to spend quite a bit of time figuring out dimensions, what inserts would work where, etc. So all that being said - I know the inserts CreateRoom sells are crazy expensive, but they make use of every single bit of space, which I think you might lose if you try to "make do" with other inserts. I hope that helps!
Wow, I paid $ 3100, but I did get them to partially put together n then paid my 2 neighbors to put it together. I also bought the over the top lighting.
great info. thanks. My music and craft studio is up 3 flights of stairs, so I assume preassembled is not viable (plus expensive). How hard was it to assemble? One person, two? Might hire someone. Also, do you think it would fit (slide into) an open standard 6' closet? Obviously space on either side, but then when it is closed. it won't stick out so far. I mostly practice music in my studio, craft sometimes, so the big selling point for me is to have the two activities separated....now all intermingled. I also appreciated that you would found and used supplies that you'd had for a while.
we found it to be easier than IKEA furniture (the instructions were better) and it took us probably three hours to put it together. However - we were filming it at the same time so it would have been a little faster if we weren't moving the camera around! :)
I got a dreambox and never saw this video til afterwards. Does anyone know where the template is for the paper inserts? Also, I ordered the shallow in-views for storing my solid paper in stampin' up. They have like 50+ colors and I use them to store each colors.
if you go here and scroll down - click on the images of the ones you want and you can download them! :) www.createroom.com/blogs/news/inview-tote-covers
how do I make the color inserts How do I make THE TOTE COVERS OR where can I purchase some? The only source I found on etsy is taking a break and my dream box will be delivered in 2 days.
A really helpful video! I like making dolls, part cloth and part clay, like the old days. Again thank you for all the information. (new subscriber)! Linda Hochniuk
I'm having trouble with the video but really liking what I hear. Can you tell us anything about all the places on facebook that advertize a cabinet that looks just like a dreambox but sells for less than $50.00.
Thanks so much! Those ads are all scams...obviously something this size is not going to sell for $50, but they use actual customer/influencer footage of real DreamBoxes so it looks legit. I just hate that people have been scammed! :(
Thank you, TY, FOR BEING SO HONEST about this box. Yes it is nice, you spent your own money and it makes so much more of a difference to me when I see these types of reviews. I would love to have one but no way I would be able to get it inside my house. I'm too old and it's would be to heavy for us. I feel the same about all the machines on the market! I have crafts in 3 rooms already which shows my craziness the last 20 years. lol Thank you again so much!!
Gayle I'm so sorry - for some reason I'm not getting notifications. Nope - I have never had an issue...those suckers are on there! :) And I open and close the doors quite a bit - the quality of the magnet sheets is really great!
Thank you. We are in the process of packing to move and letting go of the Totally Tiffany wooden die things. I can’t get my dreambox until we move sometime in December so Merry Christmas to me. Loosing a craft room space and gaining a dreambox.
1, Plusses and minuses to purchasing two-part table and extensions. 2. If you assembled box completely yourself, would you do it again. 3. Says to examine the box on delivery but carrier seldom stays long enough to allow you to do that. How well is it shipped?
Great questions! 1 - I think you are talking about the side tables that are an add-on? I didn't purchase them because I generally work standing up. I think if you already have a desk that you use and love you don't need the additional tables, but if you are starting from scratch in a craft area they are a nice to have! 2 - we 100% would put it together ourselves again. We've assembled a lot of IKEA furniture in our day :) and we found this SO MUCH easier! To me it was worth saving $300 to do it ourselves, plus I was a little worried about them shipping a pre-built one, I think it would be more easily damaged. 3 - I think what they mean by that you want to be home when it is delivered in case it comes off the truck and has a huge dent in it or visible damage, so you can address it right then. We were VERY happy with how well it was packed - I don't know if you saw the link to my IG highlight reel, we showed it from start to finish (I'll link it in another reply if you want to take a look). I hope this all helps!
I am so sorry for the delay - for some reason I'm not getting comment notifications! They have the SVG files on their website - here you go! www.createroom.com/blogs/news/inview-tote-covers?_pos=1&_sid=06e6d585b&_ss=r
I'm so sorry for the delay - for some reason I am not getting notifications! The colored inserts at the front of the boxes? Those are free SVG files I got from their website and cut with my Cricut - here is the link where I got them! www.createroom.com/blogs/news/inview-tote-covers
Hi Beth, great idea on where you store your Cricut mats. I’ve got to wait for some pieces before I can start really filling my Dreambox up and I have my Kingston 12x12 paper pads in the area you have your mats.
BEST video that I have seen. I just bought one 2 days ago and still had questions.... You answered everyone that I could think of.... thank you so much for the time it took for you to explain everything.....

@@tabandken8562 SOMEONE could build 10 for the cost of 1 - *I* cannot build any for the cost of anything lol. If you have the capability - awesome!
@@christinawilliams6641 Sure you can!!! If you really want to. Don't cut yourself short.

Beth I am just in love with your tutorial of the DreamBox it has given me so many ideas for setting mine up. I bought a lot of stuff too.Awesome lady.
Your video presentation is awesome. It will help me organize my Dream box.

Hello I'm so glad to see you,I can't wait until HAS on the 16 Keep up the great Job!!!!! yoy are doing I LOVE the DREAM BOX.
Beth just bought my Dreambox and all the tips and information from your RUclips video came in handy when I was ordering! Thank you for the tutorial!
I'm so glad - happy to help!!! Enjoy!!!!
Ordered mine for Black Friday. Your review is one of the best I've seen-very helpful. THANKS!
That makes me so happy!! Thank you Debbi!!! Enjoy it!!
Do they have a decent Black Friday sale?
I have had my dream box for a few years and I love it ,I use it every day. My son put it together.
I just ordered this dream box….thanks for explaining all of this. I’m very excited for the storage and the organization.
My husband ordered me this for Christmas! Can’t wait to get it! Love your videos!
I bet the talenti gelato containers are the same size as the ones they sell. Then you get ice cream + container :)
ahahahahaha!! I am always here for ice cream! :)
Hi Beth, I just found this video of you when I was looking at a DreamBox email about Zooey Deschanel. (Not sure if she paid for hers!) How fun to see you! Im really looking forward to my first watch of your blog!
I do love the rainbow colors...I guess you could duplicate the same look on the new plastic clear bins with SVG cut files.....I love white, but COLOR cheers me up!
Hi Janet! These are the clear bins - and you are exactly right! :) Create Room has free SVG files so you can cut them in any color to fit!
Let’s talk dies on the door magnet: Many come in sets with word dies AND stamps. What do you do to cross reference the magnet dies to those…and are they kept in original packaging to reference?
By far the best information on the Dreambox. Thank you for sharing.
❤My Dream Box is almost finished being set up.
I have sooo much craft stuff.

Hi from Barbara in Virginia I have one of the first Dream Box that came out.
I have always wanted a Dream Box from the day I first saw it on Facebook
Right with buying and trying so many different storage solutions... I've spent a ton on them.
I purchased it already assembled too!! I got the farm finish so it goes in my dining room
Aloha Beth and Don. I love your presentations. I can hear and see you
I think your outfit is so cute especially with the earring!!! You always have the best tops also!!!
Would love the dream box, but I have spent too much on craft supplies. Love the Kingston Craft Supplies, the papers are the best

Love Watching your videos thinking about buying a DreamBox can you give the total at the end Barbara Johnstone
I love your video and how nice the DreamBox decor
Many reviews about not getting the item and couldn't reach them. Where is a good place.
Question: have you had any issues with dies falling off the magnet wall? Thanks
Gayle I'm so sorry - for some reason I'm not getting notifications. Nope - I have never had an issue...those suckers are on there! :) And I open and close the doors quite a bit - the quality of the magnet sheets is really great!

OMG. Love the concept. I cannot afford this. However not even afford one day.
I'm here, but I can't hear you! Hi Miss Beth, Mr. Don, from Bella Vista, AR!

So when you said you purchased the 80 totes, was that IN ADDITION to the 40 that came with it?
Hey Karen - great question! I ordered 80 total… when I ordered they had the option of 40 or 80 so I chose 80. :)
Hello from Nebraska!
I hope this all helps!
and here is the link to my IG highlights if you want to see what it looked like when it arrived: instagram.com/stories/highlights/17905858390661617/
@@TheKingstonHomeis there some place built in to store the additional tables when they’re not being used?
Great review!
I would love the mat.
This is offered for 49.99 on Facebook and I wish so what’s the deal I’m so in love with this
Unfortunately that is a scam :( you couldn't even ship this for $49 - they just hope people will fall for it. I hate that!
Hi, I need to buy one. Love it.
Hi Beth, love the dream box!
Do you have an SVG of your tote cut outs that you can share?
I am so sorry for the delay - for some reason I'm not getting comment notifications! They have the SVG files on their website - here you go! www.createroom.com/blogs/news/inview-tote-covers?_pos=1&_sid=06e6d585b&_ss=r

Thanks for the review!
Where did you get your tote inserts please?
I'm so sorry for the delay - for some reason I am not getting notifications! The colored inserts at the front of the boxes? Those are free SVG files I got from their website and cut with my Cricut - here is the link where I got them! www.createroom.com/blogs/news/inview-tote-covers

Helloo happy holidays
Hi from Tucson
“Stylish prisoner” 🤣☠️
Hi Linda here
I received an offer and never received my Dream box
Hi Beth, great idea on where you store your Cricut mats. I’ve got to wait for some pieces before I can start really filling my Dreambox up and I have my Kingston 12x12 paper pads in the area you have your mats.
