In December I went from my 2016 F250 Lariat to a 2019 F450 Platinum. If you are looking for a luxury ride, the F250 is definitley the way to go. But, I still love the F450. I have a very heavy camper that I need the dually for and the 450 is a solid ride. Turning radius can't be beat. The only problem I have with it is the wandering. I drove an F350 and really felt the ride was better. I might have gone that way except for the steering radius factor. I am planning to get a larger 5th wheel toy hauler down the line and decided I didn't want to deal with the wider turning radius when I do get it. To each their own. I'm happy. All that really counts, right? Enjoy.
@@jellybean7253 I had a wandering problem with my f450 also, then I started to develop the death wobble that Ford is known change the tires help some put new shocks on it helped a little more then I had an alignment done it fixed the problem start with the alignment it's the cheapest
@@mbrown1519 death wobble that ford and Dodge both have spend the 400 and put dual steering stabilizers of the front axle problem solved !! Ford is asking to much for one stabilizer to hold the thing inline especially with it being that far away from the tires as they have it it belongs on the Axle tube love my 19 ford but at 7500 miles it developed a wobble took it to dealership they put a new one on but it just band-aid the problem. 5 000 miles later it getting a little shake on bumps so I said hell no not with my toy hauler on the back so dual stabilizer is what she has now and I can take the hand off the wheel going over bumps now !!
Usually not a fan of Ford, but I've got to admit that is a BEAST of a truck. I think it will pull that big ass 5th wheel. Tom looks like a kid in a candy shop. He has that nervous excitement in his voice. Reminds me of my husband when he bought his new Harley. 😂 Good luck! Love y'all! ❤❤❤
You will love your new F450! We tow a Bighorn 3875FB - which weighs less than your rig, at just under 17,000 lbs. It’s really much more comfortable when you have the right truck! Safe travels -
In reality I like the negotiation game. Even before you walk into a dealer you need to know exactly what vehicle you want and options. ( I suggest test driving that vehicle at another dealer beforehand ) Write on a piece of paper the "out the door price" your willing to write a check for. ( assuming your paying cash) They may ask, at what price do we need to be at? NEVER show your cards...Many times it comes down to what their willing to give on your trade. My last truck, I had to wait 2 weeks for them to call me back, to have another look at my trade. In the end they adjusted the price by $3500, which put me $500 under my target price. You have to be willing to walk....
Very nice.. My husband, Brian, just bought him a brand new 2020 Ford F-350, dually. Brian’s is silver. I love it and could not be happier. He bought his Super Duty about a month ago so we can buy our first camper trailer, possibly even a 5th wheel. I can’t wait till all this viral sickness is over so we can get us a camper trailer and start traveling some..
Good choice! And I'm glad to see you chose white. You would have hated trying to keep that black one looking like new. That 6.7 will have no issues towing your trailer. I was pulling a 16K toy hauler with mine....no problem...just take it easy going downhill, let that engine brake work...it'll rev up pretty high, but just trust it to do it's thing.
Sold my '12 F450 King Ranch 4X4 a year ago, and miss it every day! Was a beautiful truck to drive, had more than enough power and the comforts of home! We went to a Class A diesel pusher, so the truck had to go, but got a good $ for it, and wouldn't hesitate to get another if needed. You'll love it!
Congratulations on the new mule!! I'm a Chevy guy and was sad to see the challenges you had with the old truck. You will, however, enjoy the absolutely quiet interior of the Ford. My Chevys new and old have whistled and whispered to me, almost from day one. I describe the Ford to people who ask about the difference like this: "The Ford is like driving down the road in a living room". Tom, you'll need to be quiet for a while though, to enjoy the Ford cabin!!
WOW, CONGRATULATIONS! That new truck looks awesome connected to your Momentum Fifth Wheel. I'm so happy for you both and it's great knowing that you have all the power you'll need to tow that big rig and not have to worry about over extending the capacity of the tow vehicle. It really does look like it belongs with your rig too. You know that you love that new shorter turning radius and that was a major reason we ended up with an F-450 too. When you started it up and I heard that diesel running it sounded just like mine too and I had to look outside to see it sitting there waiting for us to get on the road whenever this COVID-19 Stay-At-Home thing is over with. How do you like all that extra room in the back seats? Whenever you have guests riding with you they won't feel cramped at all and now you have a lot of room back there for your stuff too. Happy Trails and again congratulations on a great truck.
I think the biggest benefit of that truck is the turning radias. The biggest con was that the ride was very firm. Maybe on a future video you could talk about this.
FRIGGEN AWESOME video you guys!!!! Ford should GIVE you that ride! Craig and I are very happy for you that you’ve chosen a Dually diesel like we did. Welcome to the Dually Club. ❤️🥰❤️
Awesome absolutely beautiful together. I have the plat white and we have the 381 M and we love both . The brakes and the turnin Radius are awesome. Get the back flip cover it’s a quad fold . With your tires it’s gonna take up to 3500 miles for those conti tires to break in and start feeling right. They are sensitive to air pressure. Yes just watch some of the grooves in the road it might want to follow grooves
Great choice, I like white colored trucks they go better with just about anything. I have a “star white” color 2020 F350 , absolutely love the new 10 speed transmission, the 6 speed is a great transmission too. You will love your new ride.
Congrats on your new purchase. I look forward to your updates. When you do, please include the comfort level of the cab. My wife and I could not get comfortable in the Ford seats and the cab didn't "fit" us. Also, you mentioned you were getting a new hitch. Inquiring minds want to know more! 😉😎 Thanks again for the insight and awesome video
Allan Eaves it was really bad for about the first 1000 or so miles. Since then it drives great. Make sure the tires are set at 90psi F / 80psi R loaded or 80psi F / 70psi R unloaded. Our tires were set all over the place on delivery and it drove scary on the highway until we property set the tire pressure (that happened around 400 miles for us)
I have been a Chevy guy my entire life, but after test driving both a new Chevy and a new Ford, I went with the Ford. It's been a year now and I love my truck. Good luck and I can't wait to watch this beast do it's job.
Good choice with Park Ford. I live in Tampa and had shopped most Ford dealers and was frustrated. When I tried Parks I got exactly what I wanted and for the price I wanted. The only issue and I had occurs at all dealers where they drag it out so long you get frustrated.
Congrats on the new F450!! I'm jealous! White vs Black. White looks good with the RV. Besides Cheri liked white. As the saying goes...Happy wife happy life! 😁 Safe travels.
Congratulations, Tom & Cheri. Don't know if you ever saw "The A-Team" on TV, but at the end of every show, despite little setbacks and unexpected twists and turns, the team succeeds. Someone on the team would say, "I love it when a plan comes together!" Safe, happy, and healthy travels! Enjoy!!
That gearing, steering and cameras are a real gamechanger. Saw another couple on youtube w/ a 450. He says the camera for the hitch is not so hot. He uses the headrests to line up to hookup. Maybe both of you should learn how to do it!?
Great choice you two! White is right. Looks classy and goes with every thing. I knew if you drove a 450 you wouldn't look for anything else. My F450 was the best tow vehicle I ever owned. The turning radius is beyond compare. I forsee great videos comming with this F450 playing a prominant part in some new adventures. Stay healthy and be safe.
Congrats. We loved our 2005 F450. Never a problem. It was also a stick shift back then. Nice and hoped they gave you a good overall price and experience!
Absolutely beautiful comb. Great purchase. You wont look back. We have a white platinum F350 and luv our beast. Now u won't have issues going thru mtn passes. Great job and be safe.
Congrats, you are gonna love it. I'm assuming it's a 2020 but did I see you start it with a key?? I have a 2019 F350 dually and it's all keyless start if the key fob is present. There's been 4 recalls on mine. some of which have occured since the first of this year. Get that checked out or watch your mail carefully for the recall notices. I could never buy one and tow within the first 500 miles for a better breakin but some folks say the breakin period is no longer needed. Check your owners manual. Have fun.
I just sold my 2008 F450 and was so happy to get rid of it. 3 bad radiators, numerous check engine lights. a bad power steering hose. I can tell you many things you will hate about it. The biggest problem with an F450 is the insurance. You can not insure int under a normal policy. It has to be a commercial policy. Also the DMV weight fee. I could go on and on. Good luck!
We used to pull our 5th wheel with a Freightliner toter. Looked for many years to find smaller truck. We finally found F450 with Highway Man RV Hauler truck bed. Congrats on your new truck. Safe travels.
You won't regret buying a Powerstroke 6.7! mine just turned 218k. I would look into switching banks! Never heard of such problems with trading in. it's always just go sign paperwork and dealer takes care of of sending payment for trade payoff etc...
Oh by the way. Don't forget your adapters on your tow hitch. And make sure u have a spare tire. I had to make sure those parts were included. .we luv your nervous laugh..I have my own nervous feelings. .. good luck
yea! welcome to the Ford company!!! I love my Ford and would highly recommend! I currently have a F350 2016 and am thinking of upgrading to a newer one with a V10. we have a toyhauler bumper pull Rubicon and are looking into the same make of your RV fifth wheel but different floor plan. So need a Ford with a lil bigger and heavier rear end. The newer F350 line just may be it. Happy motoring! 😉
Looks like a winner in my book. Smart shopping, you probably got a good deal on a 2019 model verses the 2020 model. Also noticed it's a lower trim package which saves you money, I think JD (BTBRV) should get a commission from Ford because he is excellent on selling a F-450 for fellow RUclipsr's
I went through that buying/negotiating process just 3 days ago for a new F250, and I would honestly rather set myself on fire than go through that again.
AGREED!! Dealerships are such crooks, it is unbelievable!! I've purchased several FORD trucks in my time...and the last was painful. Especially with the trade-in. I was trading a 2012 F250 4x4 lariat crewcab that I special ordered. Had about 30,000 miles and in immaculate condition. So, I went to CarFax and got a FREE 7 day quote on the value of the truck. When I went into the local FORD dealership to purchase my special ordered 2017 f150 lariat 4x4 6.5" bed. They TOTALLY low balled the 2012...by at least $15,000 compared to CarFax. I then pulled out the CarFax guarantee value...and they said they could NOT even come close to that figure. I had to go sell my truck to CarFax first. I can see $1000 or $500, but by $15,000??!!?? Unbelievable...crooks. Eeeesh...
Yep yep my last 2 vehicles I already had my bank or lender and a price and bought all warranty with the lender !! Dealership makes so much money on extended warranty ,gap , disability. So have all that shit done with save u thousands and it is fun shopping after that !!
I hate buying vehicles also. We just bought a new Travel Trailer the dealing wasnt bad because it was the last 2 hours of a Camper Show and they wanted to sell. The walk thru and signing day wasn't as smooth because they tried to pull some fast ones on us. We didn't buy any extra warranties and services and they weren't happy.
Bought my '19 f250 online. Contacted dealer internet department and got an out the door number, gave them my number. I exchanged about 4 emails over a week and ended up with an amazing deal and no pressure. 30 minutes at the dealer during pickup. I used to go in and go through all the BS with salesmen. I am a great negotiator but nowadays they have a bottom line and you just have to know what features you want and are getting and what is a reasonable offer. Its too easy to compare dealerships online so most will be very competitive and try to make the money back selling you warranties and extra packages and such. If you are financing don't let them stick you with a high rate that they got a kick back on. Always see what a decent interest rate is for your credit score before you make any offers. I never bother trading in a vehicle. Always sell that before hand so you get the most money for it and you have your ducks in a row.
Research all the options, specs and what other dealers are selling them at. Walk in with a price in mind and that's it. Easy, stick to your price and options
Craig Carter Yes. Get some miles then give us your thoughts. I think many would enjoy feedback pros cons and any your thoughts. I look forward to that video like all the others. Safe travels!
I had a 450 King Ranch with a 6.4 Diesel and it was a nightmare In the shop more then I drove it. I hear good things with the new 6.7. Congratulations on the new truck
Love your video, and awwwww, that truck is awesome. Beautiful white new truck. Nothing like a new vehicle. White is a good color in warm climates, it goes well with your RV. Glad that you got yourselves a new truck to tow your new RV (new to you all). It looks pretty new. Take care of yourself.
Our friends did the same thing. They bought a 41 or 42 foot Grand Design Reflection. The had a Chevy 3500 and it wasnt big enough. They traded and bought a Ford F 450 also.
We have enjoyed your videos for a while. Now welcome to the Family of Ford owners. Having been a Ford man for most of my 64 years I hope you are happy. That is an awesome truck. I enjoy towing my bass boat around with a 2019 F150 (white) platinum. I love that one and I am sure you will love yours. The cameras are great and even one aimed at the fifth wheel hitch. I am sure it is up to the job. Good luck and we will keep watching.
Good choice Ford all the way. I still drive my 1997 Ford f250 7.3 powerstroke diesel. Still going strong. Love my Ford. I have owned Chevy and Dodge. They all have their problems. My ford never lets me down.
Here see my takeaways on your recent purchases. Research, research, research; understand the weights of potential rigs; and finally, do I absolutely need a new (different) rig(s). Thanks for being my teacher on what not to do.
I ended up going Ram pro and cons coming from a former GM guy the ram had the best overall for me. Great torque at a low rpm and way better fuel economy than the v8 diesel
Nice truck. We want to sell our sticks and bricks this year. We were leaning toward the RAM 3500 until seeing your video about the turning radius of the F450. Pretty sure we will end up with F450 now. Hope to see you on the road some day
The Momentum looks cream next to brilliant white of the truck. I wish you'd got the color truck you wanted, black would've looked next level. Either way though you have clearly made a fantastic decision, Ford is a quality and performance first company, always have been! 🎉🎈😀🎊🎈
Awesome truck guys! I'm a Chevy guy but not religiously. I would own a diesel Ford. They are great trucks. Smart to shop around. I bought a brand new car in 2018 traded in my old one and 1 dealership offered me $2000 and were like, we'll take it off your hands... you won't see much difference in the monthly payments anyway... I told them boldly the trade in value is worth $8000. They would not budge. The next dealership I went to offered me $7000 for the trade in. SOLD! At a dealership you never get book value on trade in because they need to work and mark it up to make sense for reselling it, but the first dealership actually made me mad.
The new truck looks great I have 2011 250 and it’s White also you’ll be happy you did not go with the black they are very hot in the sun beats down on them
Apply a ceramic by yourself since in quarantine. Use a clay before you apply it . Many RUclips videos on it - Appex detail video on Ceramic application is great start .
loved my 17 f450 but had to upgrade to the f550 love the 2020 f550 its a beast hauls like a champ been happy with the truck your going to love your new tow rig the trailer prep in the super duty is awsome theres a remote camera option you can get for up to 53 feet if memory serves ill need to check the options on mine out again (got the remote camera info someware lol) the trailer blindspot monitoring is a godsend so is the sarround view cameras and bed view camera my area sees big snow banks every winter so the front 180 view is worth its weight in gold the suspention setup is all around good ride for its weight class because of its progressive springs drove fords for a long time and had chevs/gmc too and the ford feels way more compatent on the road
I hate the financing process. Congrats! You will love that truck! I had the 2017 F-450 Platinum, 2018 F-450 Platinum, and now 2020 F-450 Limited . We just love them! For years since early 90's we always had the Silverado's 4500/3500. Still love both brands!
Congratulations on the new truck!!! Hopefully you'll have as many good years with this truck as you had with the Silverado!! And most of the "big volume" dealers will try to lowball you on your trade in. They try their best to make you think it's worthless. Then turn around and sell it for blue book value like it's brand new. Glad you guys stood your ground and shopped around!!

My Chevys new and old have whistled and whispered to me, almost from day one. I describe the Ford to people who ask about the difference like this: "The Ford is like driving down the road in a living room". Tom, you'll need to be quiet for a while though, to enjoy the Ford cabin!!
So this is where the FORD comes in , great luck , I am a FORD person too , so it’s a dually too, happy trails , 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
You will be glad to have the white over the black. So much easier to keep clean, and congratulations!!! Looks great. Now onward to the hitch!!!
You'll love it. I have a 2020 f450 platinum. Add air bags, tire pressure sensors and good to go.
Hey I’m in the video ! Thank for your purchase . We are glad we made it easy over here at Parks ford of Wesley Chapel.
Awesome! Thanks again Victor!
Thanks again for the insight and awesome video
Love it, I tow with a F150 best truck ever. It’s nine years old with 155000 miles and never a problem! Ford Tuff! 👍🏻❤️
That truck is so beautiful......it does everything but drive itself.......😀😃😊
Hi from MN, so glad to see you got a REAL TRUCK!!!!!!!!! safe travels love your chanel.
Good choice!! Cheri had the right idea with white!
Congrats all the Beat on the Beast. You will love ford trucks
Allan Eaves it was really bad for about the first 1000 or so miles. Since then it drives great. Make sure the tires are set at 90psi F / 80psi R loaded or 80psi F / 70psi R unloaded. Our tires were set all over the place on delivery and it drove scary on the highway until we property set the tire pressure (that happened around 400 miles for us)
Congrats on your purchase. You got the best truck money can buy for towing.
I have been a Chevy guy my entire life, but after test driving both a new Chevy and a new Ford, I went with the Ford. It's been a year now and I love my truck. Good luck and I can't wait to watch this beast do it's job.
Very nice and capable truck! We have decided on a 381M instead of the 351M and decided on a F450 over a F350.
Yay..!! You got the Ford! That’s what we got only black. You will love it.! We travel the mountains lots and love it. It’s got some power.
Good choice with Park Ford. I live in Tampa and had shopped most Ford dealers and was frustrated. When I tried Parks I got exactly what I wanted and for the price I wanted. The only issue and I had occurs at all dealers where they drag it out so long you get frustrated.
We have a 2016 F450 (also white) and a Momentum 376TH. Nice. Truck. You’ll love it. Congratulations!
Right on!
Next...spray in bed liner...up grade the shocks...air bags....26,000 lbs fifth wheel...Looks great...
Add a extra fuel tank...??
Congratulations on the new truck. You won’t be sorry with white, I have the Silverado dually (2009), it is white and I love the color
You will love your new Ford! We have been Ford F150 owners for 30 years. On our 3rd F150.
Nice truck!!!!! I have own Ford since 1977 one used and 8 new . I don't think you went wrong!
All these videos are helping on making a future decision, congratulations on the new truck looks awesome.
Don't drop the RV on the new truck figuring out the new pinbox :P
He's got a real hitch in this one...
Congrats on the new F450!! I'm jealous! White vs Black. White looks good with the RV. Besides Cheri liked white. As the saying goes...Happy wife happy life! 😁 Safe travels.
Beautiful, White is so easy to care for! Stay safe!
Congratulations, Tom & Cheri.
Don't know if you ever saw "The A-Team" on TV, but at the end of every show, despite little setbacks and unexpected twists and turns, the team succeeds. Someone on the team would say, "I love it when a plan comes together!"
Safe, happy, and healthy travels! Enjoy!!
Hannibal was the one who said,"I love it when a plan comes together."
Congrats on your new truck welcome to the f450 club, you'll get over your old truck soon.
That gearing, steering and cameras are a real gamechanger. Saw another couple on youtube w/ a 450. He says the camera for the hitch is not so hot. He uses the headrests to line up to hookup. Maybe both of you should learn how to do it!?
Beautiful, hard working truck. I believe you made the right choice. I am biased though...I drive a 2015 and LOVE IT!
I was surprised... This looks like it was filmed before.. the outbreak.. 😊
Have fun.
Nice new truck. White is the thickest paint also (black is one of the thinest)
Nice new truck got ride of the wrecked one.
Great choice. We love our fords. My husband has F350 for our rig and i have F150 for our boat.
I had to make sure those parts were included. .we luv your nervous laugh..I have my own nervous feelings. .. good luck
Awesome. JD pointed you in the right direction. Glad your Happy.
Thanks 👍
yea! welcome to the Ford company!!!
I'd sure test the new brake set up with the Momentum and tune it for all weather conditions.
Excellent choice. You will love it.
Congrats on the new truck and thank you for listening to all of our advice and getting the 450. You guys rock.
Thank you guys! The last two videos have helped me immensely in understanding how to go about picking the right-sized tow vehicle. Thank you again!
Nice truck Great Choice. Been driving Ford for Decades.
You won't regret your choice. Congratulations!
Nice Truck! I have to confess, I paused the video and seen the B&W Hitch. The best 5th wheel hitch made. No more dropping the 5th wheel!
Congratulations ! The right machine in towing is critical! Enjoy!!
Welcome to Ford Family
You guys made a great choice that truck will tow your trailer like a breeze and it is white so even better.
Congratulations--you made a great choice. You'll need to do a follow-up on the difference when pulling the Momentum.
No more problems going up mountains...running hot, etc. Congratulations! Enjoy the ride!
Now that’s a truck!!! Enjoy the new ride.
I ended up going Ram pro and cons coming from a former GM guy the ram had the best overall for me. Great torque at a low rpm and way better fuel economy than the v8 diesel
Congradulations on your new beautiful F450! Very happy for you!
Congrats! Got ya a real truck! No hate mail from the GM’ers. Happy travels!
Awesome, you won’t have any problems in the mountains now! Keep up your maintenance and you shouldn’t have problems.
You got the big 450, great turning radius great towing. Good choice.
Nice truck. We want to sell our sticks and bricks this year. We were leaning toward the RAM 3500 until seeing your video about the turning radius of the F450. Pretty sure we will end up with F450 now. Hope to see you on the road some day
you'll love the white color it hides dirt believe it or not even when it's dirty it looks clean.....enjoy the new truck
Great purchase. I have a RAM but I do like Ford. If I buy another it will be a Ford.
Very sharp looking truck. It really looks like it will meet your needs.
I think so too!
The new truck looks great I have 2011 250 and it’s White also you’ll be happy you did not go with the black they are very hot in the sun beats down on them
Nice truck! I have 2 F550s and they are awesome, you will not be disappointed.
Apply a ceramic by yourself since in quarantine. Use a clay before you apply it . Many RUclips videos on it - Appex detail video on Ceramic application is great start .
Congrats...what an upgrade!
Congratulations! Your truck and rig are beautiful together. Enjoy!
loved my 17 f450 but had to upgrade to the f550 love the 2020 f550 its a beast hauls like a champ been happy with the truck your going to love your new tow rig the trailer prep in the super duty is awsome theres a remote camera option you can get for up to 53 feet if memory serves ill need to check the options on mine out again (got the remote camera info someware lol) the trailer blindspot monitoring is a godsend so is the sarround view cameras and bed view camera my area sees big snow banks every winter so the front 180 view is worth its weight in gold the suspention setup is all around good ride for its weight class because of its progressive springs drove fords for a long time and had chevs/gmc too and the ford feels way more compatent on the road
I just bought a new F350 4x4 Diesel 2 days ago. Here in Florida great experience.
STX is the right package! 360 camera system. I’m really happy with my 19 F350 DRW STX. Banks Derringer level 5 all the time on mine.
Congratualtions on the purchase of your new F450!! Many new and fun time to come.. once out of lock down!
