    Real ugly rims on the white Rubi, why 20 inch, looks like a mall crawler. May even be 22 inch. Ridiculous

      You'd be surprised what even a 2wd can do. Where I grew up the term 'it's a 2wd but 4wd' was a running joke because all the city slickers would come in with built up (mostly useless for our terrain) crap and get stuck.

    I rather see videos off road with the JT than the TJ. just because u have no problems n have a new platform to start building off from. Don't get me wrong I LOVE the older jeeps I'd love to buy a new TJ or YJ without a million miles n rust. Not that you'll ever find one lol.

    But the SIDE BY SIDES UTV'S ( SXS ) Are much much safer than ur standard ATV/4 WHEEELER. Take it from someone who knows. I flipped mine aat age 50 and NEARLY DISLOCATED MY HIP. Stayed off my leg the better part of 3 months. Then got up to start walking and 4 months later was in an auto accident that NEARLY TOOK THE SAME LEG OF AT OR JUST BELOW THE HIP. RIGHT LEG BROKEN FEMUR. STILL ROD INSIDE THE FEMUR FROM the hip joint to the knee screws all up and down. A steel plate above and below the knee cap. LoL. THAT WAS IN 2021.

    @SmokinMonkeyOG We're planning a trip for the 2nd of July with some friends... 2 JLU on 35s and one JK on 33s, all with 2.5-3in lifts, winches and overall good experience with medium technical stuff. We usually like to do some light-medium rock crawling and then chill at the camp site, have a few beers around the fire, grill steaks and just have good fun. Would you say Ardbeg and Scotch Line trails are the best there is in the region east of the great lakes? Also, we are looking to camp there, Ardbeg does have camp sites close to the lake but I guess these are going to be hard to get in the high season? Any help would be highly appreciated. Maybe we'll see you on the trail! 😎

    • @SmokinMonkeyOG
      @SmokinMonkeyOG  3 месяца назад +1

      You get a lot better camping at Ardbeg and there is a ton of space usually there even when it’s busy so I don’t think you’ll have a problem finding one. The trails are also a bit more fun in Ardbeg in my opinion

    • @OffRoadQC
      @OffRoadQC 3 месяца назад

      @@SmokinMonkeyOG Thanks a lot! We'll be there for at least a couple of days. It's a 9h drive from home hehee. We could do both (Ardbeg, then the Scotch line the following day). We'll need to find another camping spot close to the Scotch line or on the way back. It's still in the planning phase... we'll also hit trails on the way and back. Can't wait!!!

    What do you think of the lenght of the Gladiator, I might go look at one tomorrow and it would be for trail use.

    • @SmokinMonkeyOG
      @SmokinMonkeyOG  4 месяца назад

      Personally I like it for the steep climbs. You stay planted. However on the same note it does catch on the rear bumper on steep sections and coming off obstacles so be prepared. But I just take it easy and the hitch slider does most of the work. My bumper is yet to get damaged. If I had to pick one I would take a gladiator but don’t get me wrong I love the Wrangler too

  • @vinceimp9581
    @vinceimp9581 4 месяца назад

    I've said it before, hammer on anything and it will start breaking. That said, as much as I love a TJ your JT is tires, axles, lockers and AC ahead of your TJ right off the hop. If you stay away from body/lift spacers where ya can, make quality upgrades, remain vigilant on maintenance, then the JT should serve you well.
