Most of these dresses are too revealing to emulate "old Hollywood glamour".
I was thinking that. Nothing like 20s or 30s especially. 50s and forward
I was expecting less beach Hollywood, and expecting more bridal or formal Hollywood. Something like Grace Kelly's short 'garden style' dress in High society ,or something with very long gloves, Elizabeth Taylor's dress or Audrey Hepburn's second wedding dress. Cleopatra styles for the beach anyone?
Does the open front actually look new,or is it just me that's tired of it?
Has anyone ever thought ,that a beach wedding dress could be inspired by warm weather cultures clothing - a more covered flamenco dress with ripples from the hip/waist down, and hibiscus in your hair "Florida style",flamingo pink bridesmaids dresses. Or a Spanish layered ankle length gown, white versions of Spanish folk costume, cotton dresses for coolness. Mediterranean tunics with sashes, Morrocan kaftans.....
Eyelet lace dress with rouching. Beach dresses tend to be boring tank top with limp skirts.
If anyone knows of an vintage replicated style wedding gown shop video ,link me up. Real vintage is nice ,but a two way street. The quality of fabric was better, but now it's delicate from time and not always available to wear. I would like to see people try gowns at a decades store.
